HI VICKY...I just wanted to say I have been waiting forever for this type of video from you, and I hope you keep doing them! Your voice was really really calming in this video too which was nice!! Hi Vicky, i really enjoyed this Video! Please do more of them! An pleeeeease show us how you did the watercolor paper pallette!!! Lots of love, Tiziana
Hi Vicky, I loved, loved this video! Don't know what it is but I adore watching these types of process videos. Was wondering where you got those watercolor paints you used, or if/how you made it? Thanks so much and I hope you continue with more of these videos!
Vicky I loved this video you are really good at what you do, thank you so much for sharing this awesome work of yours with us. Big Texas Hugs to you and your family.
This was inspirational, I got out my fauxbonichi and had some fun recording memories from my week in WDW with my daughter and granddaughter. Tinker bell and my carousel horses seem to have some size distortion but the feeling is all there! Thanks for sharing.
Heh, I love that you use your hand. I often use my jeans. I have the Koi travel box of watercolors and I love them. I also have a tiny field kit of Windsor and Newton watercolors that I also enjoy. What I use most in my Hobonichi lately is my Zig Clean Color brush markers with a water brush like yours. They don't mix well like regular watercolors, but there are tons of colors and I realllllly enjoy using them. I loved watching you draw!
Aimee Thank you so much for your kind words! I do have the zig markers as well and I love using them in the hobo!! They are great and lots of fun to use!! xo
I loved watching this!!! Will you please tell me what fountain pen and paints/brush you use? I can't draw, but I want to give it a go. Thank you so much!!
What a great video, I loved it, I am always way too tight and squeaky when I paint, ha ha....this has helped me to loosen up and just have FB, thank you Vicky💕
Hi! So glad I found you. I am new to learning about the Hobonichi and the timing couldn't be more perfect. I have no problem journaling with words but when it comes to graphical expression, I freeze. Thank you for this.
Yes, yes, yes! I love your process videos. This was so helpful to watch you draw and listen to your thought process. Nice music too! Could you write what the name of the watercolor folder you were using? Thank you so much! :)
This video is amazing I love listing to you your voice is sooo calming, where did you get that pain pallet.? I hope you do more of these but still do flip throughs your my fave on these. You make it look so simple...lol. Love your nails too what Color of nail polish is that?
Kathleen Hurley Hi Kathleen!! Thank you so much!! the nail polish color is Fiji by Essie. I will continue doing the flip throughs because they are fun to do!! I am probably going to join feb with march because it's so late in the month and I haven't had a chance to film it yet!! Hope that's ok!
Loved this video! And I love fast food too... 😊 Thanks for sharing your process and thoughts with us. My first hobonichi is making its way to me from Japan. I can't wait to get started!
This was great to watch. I just started on my fauxbonichi and I always draw in pencil because it's easier to erase the mistakes. But you make it seem so effortless with the fountain pen. I may just take a leap and try it to see how it comes out. I def. would like to see more videos on the process. Your drawings are so adorable. TFS....:)
Rachel Fonseca Ooooh I love hearing that you are interested in trying fountain pens!! Try the varsity ones if you are new to it I think you will love them!! xo
Thanks so much for sharing your process! I am new to the hobonichi, and I find myself over thinking what I'm doing because I'm scared of spoiling the page. You have shown me that it should be fun and everything doesn't have to be perfect, and that documenting special memories is the important thing. Thank you so much. Can I ask; where did you get your pallette?
Dazzledust22 I'm so glad that you took away the fun part of the Hobonichi because I think that's the best part!! I made this palette by watching Jane Davenport's video about the peerless watercolors! xo
I always use my hand, too. Hmmm, that can be taken the wrong way, lol! Maybe I should rephrase that. Seriously, great video and I would love more process vids. Thank you!
Great video, as usual! :-) Could you please "write out" the fountain pen you are using? I used to use them years ago, but did not like the smearing I seemed to get with my Watermans and Lamy ones. Still love them, but thinking about a new one, and the one you have is very cool. Also, the Noodler's ink, is it all permanent? Or just certain ones? Thanks so much for your shares! :-) Love all your drawings, and getting to peek inside you notebooks!
AngiP I'm so glad you liked this type of video. The fountain pen I am using is a TWSBI mini. I use platinum carbon ink. Actually the noodlers is not water resistant. If you use it with water colors it will all smear! I also have a fine nib so the ink dries very quickly!
MissVickybee Thanks very much for your reply! I have been using medium nibs, so I will be trying the fine nib next. Also, thanks for the ink info. Sorry it took me a while to respond. I appreciate the time that you take to make videos and reply to your subscribers! :-)
Oh my gosh I think I'm addicted to watching your videos! This one really makes me want to get the cousin as well :) I have a quick question: how do you clean your hobonichi cover?? I am looking into the Marine Stripes cover (so pretty
I love process videos!! This was great! I like your waterbrush pen. I would use it with my watercolor pencils. It's great to not have a cup of water sitting out, which could be spilled, or, in my case, drunk by my fresh cats! :-)
