thank you! Because of your videos I bought an A6 hobonichi in July and I intend to get an A6 for next year. I was very frustrated by the lack of video/inspiration using a hobonichi as an actually planner, rather than a scrapbook/art journal. So thanks so much for this video and your other ones on the hobonichi. You are pretty much the ONLY youtuber I've found that post videos like this.
+sarah bergquist Thank you so much for the kind words, and I'm really sorry for the delayed response! For some reason some of the comments for this video never appeared in my updates feed, so I only just saw it now. I'm really happy that you've found these videos useful! I've also been frustrated by the lack of videos on using Hobonichis for planning rather than art journalling. I don't understand it, as they make such perfect planners!!
+Vegan Organizer I really think they do as well. I've converted a few friends to them. I mis-typed above, I bought a cousin for 2016. I've very excited for the new year to start!
Quasiquixotic Yes, I know what you mean! In fact, I couldn't stand waiting another month for my Weeks to start, so I cracked and have begun using it already! :o) I hope you do a setup video of your Cousin when you start using it.
+Gabriela Osada Thanks for the comment. Sorry about the camera angle - I've tried to get it so that it shows straight downwards, but this is the best I've been able to do so far! I'll keep trying :o)
Ha! I think I am going to copy your setup! Love your idea for the notes on the daily pages. That makes such good sense. Too few videos about actually planning and productivity. Thanks again for the time you spend preparing for the videos!!
Isn't it difficult to go back and forth between monthly and weekly pages or weekly and daily pages, especially when you try to break down monthly (weekly) tasks to weekly (daily) tasks?
+Plannergirl 777 I don't find it to be a problem at all, because I use the monthly, weekly, and daily pages for different things. I pretty much only use the monthly pages for appointments, trips, etc., so that I can see at a glance when I'll be free to book something, or how much time I'll be able to devote to a certain project in any given month. The weekly is where I do all of my main planning (tasks, etc.), so I don't have to cross-reference very much with the monthly view. I just use the daily pages for notes, so I don't actually pay attention to the dates there at all.
Vegan Organizer That clears up my question! Thank you very much. Also if you don't mind, could you please show me in some video how you plan out your academic paper from a first draft or zero draft to submit it to a journal? (I am currently a Phd student and am curious to see if you use some planner technique to academic writing or writing in general).
Plannergirl 777 So glad to hear that was helpful! And yes, I'd be delighted to do a video on academic writing in a planner; thanks for the suggestion! I've just started a new book project, so it's a good time to do one. It's nice to know there are other academics out there who would be interested! :o)
Vegan Organizer yAy!! I am very excited to hear that you are writing a book! I am struggling between writing a thesis and writing a paper to submit, so I am very curious to see how you get your project/writing done via planner & planning! Since my thesis is on animal ethics and I personally want to be a vegan in near future, I am very glad to find your channel. I know for sure that the planners you introduce in your videos are vegan-friendly and it helps me A LOT to decide which planner to purchase (and of course, your thorough reviews are helpful, too! ). Anyways, I've been really enjoying your videos and wanted to say hello from Japan ^o^
+Plannergirl 777 Thank you soo much for the comment; I can't tell you how happy it has made me!! I have been hoping that this channel would help people to find vegan planner options, so it really means a lot to me that you have found it useful. :o) As for going vegan, all I can say is that it was the best decision I ever made, and I'm sure it will be for you too! Let me know if you have any questions that I can help with. Your thesis sounds exciting! I'll try to make the project planning video soon in case it might be helpful.
Well organized Hobonichi planner ! As a Korean I'm glad to see some stickers written in Korean :) I was considering how I use hobonichi cousin next year because it is my first try. And I was bit curious about the exact size of cousin, it seems smaller than I've expected. So I ordered it ! ^^ Thanks for your helpful usage video!
+Jennifer Park Thank you so much!! I'm really glad you found it helpful. Yes, I love the Korean stickers! I started learning Korean years ago and can still more or less read the alphabet, but sadly I can't understand them :o( It's on my list for future language learning! I hope you enjoy your Cousin - and that you do a setup video of it! :o)
+goodwillv I'm really sorry for the delayed response!! For some reason a few of the comments on this video never appeared on my update feed, so I've only just seen your question. This planner is the Hobonichi Cousin, which does have a weekly view (as well as monthly and daily!). It's available here: www.1101.com/store/techo/2016/planner/lineup/ Note that the Cousin has a weekly view, but the 'Avec' version (where the year is split into two volumes) doesn't have one, so be sure to order the one-volume version. I hope this helps, but please let me know if you have any other questions!
+Helen Fennell I'm so sorry for the delayed response - for some reason your comment didn't show up in my updates, so I've only just seen it now. I was using a pocked sized Filofax for personal planning, but I've just switched into a Hobonichi Weeks, which I absolutely love! The pocket Filofax setup video is here: ua-cam.com/video/yqnAJhyWGfk/v-deo.html and the Weeks setup is here: ua-cam.com/video/Yf47gQsvEi4/v-deo.html

Thanks for sharing and the updates. Could you change the angle of your camera so it can show from a straight view downwards?
+Gabriela Osada Thanks for the comment. Sorry about the camera angle - I've tried to get it so that it shows straight downwards, but this is the best I've been able to do so far! I'll keep trying :o)

could you put a link to this cover? its beautiful! :)
It was a Hobonichi cover from their 2015 range. Sadly it was only available that year. It's really a shame, because it's a great cover!
Thanks for the update
