@@younsmal4873 That's a hard question to answer because they are two entirely different games. Amazing Spiderman is open world, Arkham City style but a bit more lighthearted, I guess would be the word? Blackgate is a 2.5D what they call a Metroid/Vania style. It is worth a playthrough, but Assassin's Creed: Chronicles does it much better. I set out to Platinum Blackgate, I even have the strategy guide included in the Arkham Origins hardcover guide and the internet, but playing through it one time was enough. The Amazing Spiderman, however, I played through the campaign and collected all 600 comic pages, or whatever stupid amount it was, and when I let someone play they erased my game and I had to start over again. And I did not mind a bit😎

Ya I had a GF once who only liked playing Lego games with me. She did like smash bros but i fkn cant stand it so we played Lego Harry Potter and she had to collect every fkn thing it was mad annoying.
Very similar yes- but I like Jurassic world- very large environments and a few different twists just like the new star wars sky walker saga where they added different combat mechanics

Great list! The two EDF games on Vita are so good. You forgot to mention the fantastic ad-hoc co-op they have and purposely (?) cheesy terrible voice acting which is hilarious as well as the huge weapon variety. Also, the games in fact do have a plot which develops from taking on giant monster aliens to taking out the alien motherships themselves at the end. EDF!
I forgot to mention how the whole thing reminded me a little bit of those Japanese Godzilla movies. Did you think the same thing? btw I like your screen name haha

I just looked up at Axiom Verge game. How in the hell did that thing get so expensive on the ps vita? I could've sworn it was only $20 the other month.

@@SuperJumpReviews I sent a tweet out to the playstation support page, and they told me to contact their call centre. I just told them how I couldn't download any of my digital purchases anymore. They were very helpful and told me they would look into the issue and email me some guidance further down the line. After a week or so they emailed me to say the problem has been resolved and just like that my games were back!🥳😅
Cool to see Super Monkey Ball, Duke Nukem, and EDF get some love. You should also try Spider: Rite of the Shrouded Moon, Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, and Frobisher Says.
Also, a few other people recommended Txk. They are right. It is the best pure arcade game on Vita.

Ys 8 as well as the entire Ys series is criminally underrated. I played 8 on both the vita and the pc port and both versions were incredible.

It's an awesome game! I really wish I had played it sooner. Definitely one of the vita's hidden gem for sure. Too bad not too many people know about it and too bad it's so expensive on ebay. Good thing I bought mine when did.
@@SuperJumpReviews there was a sale back on the start of april. It was half off in the ps shop. It was so worth it, I kinda wish I bought it full price just to support the developers since they clearly put alot of love and soul in the games.
@@SuperJumpReviews oh and a tip if you're playing ys 8. In order to get the true ending you'll need alot of reputation which you get by doing sidequests to the castaways. You'll need 150 to get the true end, it's really worth it. Do every single sidequests available since if you miss even just a bit few then maybe you wont get the true end. I did every single sidequests I could and had 165 before getting the ending

Recently just found my old psp and while finding that I remember about my vita and started playing it again 🙃
Borderlands 2, jak and daxter trilogy, metal gear solid hd, slain, ac chronicles, hell divers, wanted corp, psp battlefront 2 with added 2nd stick, ocean horn, odd world strangers wrath, dungeon hunter alliance. So many fantastic games.
Jak and Daxter Trilogy? Really? Love the game, but the port on vita runs awful. sorry.
@@SuperJumpReviews ive been playing them recently and I've not really encountered any issues as of yet. Borderlands has some frame drop issues during big battles. But so far jak & daxter seems to run okay.

Hey!! Finally you played Ys VIII... Told you the game is a blast... Enjoy it men... I´m right now on the Sly Cooper Trilogy and waiting for my copy of Ys Memories of Celceta on the PS4 since I wasn´t able to get it for the Vita.

No the sequel to Ys VIII is Ys IX only released in Japan for PS4 ☹️ haven't played a lot of Us Celceta just the intro in the vita of a friend and for what I saw looks like a remake of Ys IV anyway... The timeline on those games is kind of complicated. But if someday you have a chance try Ys VII on the psp that game is one of the finest action rpgs ever made for that console.

Ooooooooohh BlazBlue, I don't hear that name in the Vita's area for a long time,
I used to play Cronophantasma and then I realized I wasn't understanding nothing in the story, so I decided to try restarting my experience with continuum shift, since it is the 2nd game in the franchise and has content to explain what happened in the first game.
That game surely is a great experience on the Vita, you got a point with me listing it on this video :D
I knew I had to give Blazblue some love. Hey, not sure if you know the answer to this but why is Continuum Shift Extend more expensive then Chronophantasma? Shouldn't Chronophantasma be more cause it has more content?

Continuum Shift Extend: R$62,50
Cronophantasma Extend: R$315,90
PSN prices here are crazy sometimes

I was surprised to see Duke Nukem in the list and mentioned first. It's one of the few games delisted and if you were lucky, nabbed for PlayStation Plus. Of course there's ways to get the game as you said but it's one of the few titles ported well to a handheld without any community effort, the "big boys" did this for us better than the Borderlands 2 team ever could.
I was actually really surprised at how smoothly the game ran. The guys really spent their time with this. Granted it is an older game but still, the fact that it runs practically flawless on the vita saids something.

@@ShatteredLimitYT The company I used was based in Japan. So what would happen is that I would send in my vita, they would mod it and then send it back. Unfortunately the company that did it closed down😢I think they went out of business. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it either. It was so long ago. I'm pretty sure can find another way to capture vita footage that doesn't require modding. Just do a quick google search. I'm not really into the vita anymore so I wouldn't really know where to look. As you can see from my most recent videos I've shifted gears towards the PS5🙂

Monkey Ball should be in everyone's Collection on any system lol.

I have a copies of Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed for multiple platforms. I played it first on Vita because it was free through PlayStation Plus. It’s definitely one of my favorite games on the platform.
Shiren the Wanderer was another one of my favorites. It was really hard, but also really addictive.

Damn. Blazblue is so perfect for the ps vita! I personally love the abyss mode of the game, I've put a dozens of hours on that mode just to level up my character. Not to mention the presentation of the game is simply amazing! xD From the loading screen to the actual fighting.

I'm really glad you mentioned the Super Monkey Ball game, since it was way better than the 3DS game that came out around the same time. One of the many times the Vita beat the 3DS.

Yeah, and it's exclusive to the vita too. I don't think Splitz appeared on any other platform.
Plants vs. Zombies on the Vita was fantastic... the game creators even said that it was the best version of the game. Sadly, like Duke Nuke 'Em, it was also removed from the store fairly early on.
Yeah, it's great on vita. One of the first games I knabbed for it. Shame it got taken down so quickly.

Duke nukem was the first fps to have mouse look in all directions I think, but in any case, it was very interesting seeing how a 2d game copes with looking up and down in 3d space concepts.
Persona 4 is one of my favourite vita games and rpgs but I'm sick of seeing it in every vita list I see so this is pretty cool to see a refreshing top 10 list for once

Yes persona is really weird, it is impossible to argue that Utawarerumono is the best vita game by far and still somehow I see Persona at top of many tops.

Was thinking the same thing! Lego Avengers was great. I loved tearing around open world NYC as Iron Man. Universe in Peril was substandard. Both Lego Batman 2 and 3 were outstanding!
Yes!!! Ys8 is great :) I went like 100 h in to it (70 for the main story) and p4. I have 10 and just didn't catch me .... For the Lego games , you should try Lego marvel avengers (not superheroes , it's a different game) it have even a open world , it's a 20 h platinum , but it's a great choice for a marvel game . And for the last I prefer the walking dead season 1 more than the second , the story has just better in my opinion :) Nice video as always :)
How come they were able to do an open world lego game with marvel avengers and not marvel super heroes?

I made a review with my other account years ago . I have played Lego batman 2,3 , Lego superheroes , Lego avengers , Lego Star wars the force awakens and Lego Chima, Lego lord of the rings , Lego the Hobbit . Of which Lego batman 2 and Lego Avengers I like the most
@@SuperJumpReviews Because at the time that MSH released they developed the DS version first and then upscaled that on the Vita and 3DS but once the DS was out of the equation they started using the Vita's power.
I disagree with you on number 6 The Amazing Spiderman because I had a horrible experience with that game, it reminded me of borderlands 2 on the vita.However I respect your opinion, I just personally don't see it being better than mediocre even the console version of it. I strongly prefer playing the psp version of spiderman 2 over the amazing spiderman.

Dystopian Times Me too. Had a rough time with the Vita game. Fortunately, I bought it cheap and flipped it.
I managed to get the game playable with this plugin "Lolicon" overclocking to 500 Mhz, with 27 to 30 fps it's so much better I highly recommend 👌
Andrew, take it from me, you NEED to play Blazblue's story. It's essentially told in visual novel format with fights thrown in and it has the personality, lore, development, character depth, and plot of a full-fledged anime. In fact, the main draw to BlazBlue for me is the stellar story. It honestly feels like a fighting game based on an anime series, except it IS the anime series. The voice acting is fantastic. And when you're done with that, Chronophantasma Extend is the sequel and it picks up right where Continuum Shift leaves off. But you might need to play through it a few times because the story is more confusing than Metal Gear. I hated it on my first playthrough but loved it after my second.
Oh wow, this whole time I thought Continuum Extend was the sequel to Chronophantasma haha. Hey, fill me in. Someone told me Chronophantasma doesn't look as good as Continuum shift because of a change in the visual graphics. What are they talking about or do they just not know what they're talking about?
@@SuperJumpReviews I haven't tapped into it too much, but they both look about the same if you ask me. I think they're both beautiful. And the pacing of fights is much faster in Chronophantasma. The engine was retooled to speed things up to more of a Guilty Gear pace, which I think is neat. I don't really have a preference either way. But Chronophantasma also lets you unlock all the stages/soundtracks from Continuum Shift, and the music is one of the best features of the series along with the story.
Unfortunately i did not see you included God Of War Collection in here but Lacramosa of Dana is the first game i beat on my vita.. Good times:-)

I love Blazblue, I would suggest Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend over Continuum Shift Extend.
I actually discovered this series on the Vita, became my favorite fighting game series. Even on PS4.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend has more characters and more refined mechanics, but I still generally prefer Continuum Shift Extend to its sequel some CSE has a story mode for each character (which couldn't be done in CPE for explicit in-universe reasons) and a sound test.
Really? I heard the opposite about Chrono Phantasma? Someone told me it wasn't as good as Continuum Shift Extend.
@@SuperJumpReviews I'm not a professional player or anything, and it's been awhile since I've played any BlazBlue game, but I don't recall CPE giving up any mechanics and added stuff like Overdrive and several new characters.
I still prefer CSE, though, due to the story and music stuff, though.
I got amazing spiderman from uh... alternative methods, but the frames were fine and I boosted the graphics with a plugin so they look decent also

God I love EDF 2, I'll admit its really not for everyone. It's one of those turn your brain off and enjoy decimating a hoard of aliens in a b-movie setting. Also, if the frame rate is still playable, your not playing EDF right... Personally love dropping the whole might of the EDF and dropping all the frames as the Air Raider
Also, have ya played ChronoPhantasma Extended, it's basically just more ContinuumShift.
I was asking around about ChronoPhantasma Extend and people are telling me it's not as good as Continuum shift? What's the story with that? LIke they said something was up with the graphics in Phantasma that made it not look as good as Continuum? ugh, I don't know. Every one telling me a whole bunch of stuff.

The spitit hunter series are also awesome, I'm not into point and click games but this series' stories kept me from playing anything else, if you like horror games these are for you

I don't know if there's enough ps2 game ports I can actually cover. Are there that many ps2 ports on the ps vita?
@@SuperJumpReviews Well to my knowledge there is the Sly Collection, Jak and Daxter Collection, God of war collection, ratchet and clank collection, metal gear solid collection, final fantasy x/ x2 and persona 4 golden. These are all the ps2 ports on vita that I know of. I'd like to see a best to worst on them because I've heard a lot of bad things about the ps2 ports on vita.

Tales of Hearts R. Quietly one of the best RPGs on the Vita. Story is corny, but everything else is great. Gameplay is smooth as silk, graphics are beautiful for the Vita, combat is fast and fluid. If you haven't tried it, you should.

Yes but they could have done way better with Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate and have it 3D like The Amazing Spider-Man was it would have been a way better game . For me that one was an okay game it's not the best Batman game but it's not the worst either.
I own duke nukem 3d megaton. It didn't age too well for me.

I decided to give LEGO Batman 2 on Vita a go and yeah it’s pretty good even though I prefer the console version of the game. 👍
I got the platinum on Spider Man. Both PS3 and Vita. The PSVita version had some cut content but it was ok to play. It has support to PSTV too.
How do the graphics compare?
@@SuperJumpReviews If I remember well, it's good graphics wise on the Vita compared to PS3. Just blurry at some points, probably it's lower than the native resolution screen of the Vita. The game runs on the 3ds (Without the open World part.) so it could have been better but it's good that we have this game. My real problem was frame rate.
@@SuperJumpReviews About the cut content. If I'm not mistaken, the PS3 has one or more trophys and one part of a mission with Rhyno in the sewer. Something like that.
I have my ps vita hacked in i can modified the limitations of the system run it at max and obtain better frame rate and the games works wayyyyyy better and some games you can play full resolution i know everybody knows this but just to share

@@SuperJumpReviews The building aspect, yeah. But it's much more story-driven. You are tasked with rebuilding a kingdom and as you build your cities, people flock to them and become residents. They send you on quests that reward you with the ability to create more items for your cities. I'm not really a Minecraft person but I'm loving DQB.

@@SuperJumpReviews No it does have a physical copy but you may find it's very expensive. I was lucky enough to get the limited edition which I haven't opened yet. I've got it digital too. It only came out physical maybe last year I think. It's game you may not love at first but it really is a masterpiece of game making.

I just recently got a Vita from someone. I had a PSP at launch, but it got stolen eventually. I'm loving playing original PSP games on it, as well as all the Vita games. Only downside is that my back touch panel doesn't work, so there's some games I can't play (God of War Collection for one). One of these days I'm gonna try to fix it, but I don't know if it's because the shell is scratched to hell, because the touch panel board is fucked, or if the main Vita board is somehow screwed up. So I don't know what to buy. I might just have to buy a new touch board AND shell, and hope that fixes it. I've already taken the back off to make sure it's still plugged in, and it is.
A little disappointed I can't play God of War 1 and 2, or MGS 2 and 3. But I still have some of my old favs, like Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Coo, per. Not counting the PSP games like it's two God of War games, WWE, and GTA.

Ys VIII is underated imo though gameplay is just okay with the hack n slash but the story and memorable characters is what makes it great. I just wish I can forget the story so I can experience the story for the first time again..
