No respect for consumers at all. I'm not from a rich country and I still purchased Grasswald Pro add-on from Blender Market a year or 2 ago. And now it doesn't work with Blender 4.0.1 It was easy to use back then, now you ruined it. Shame on you
Im facing the same problem. It wouldn't even be that hard of a fix to add an option to import the old Graswald Pro assets into Gscatter, but no. I guess the best bet we have right now is to keep an .exe of Blender 2.93 LTS and assembly the environment there, since Graswald pro actually uses an import system to make particles work, meaning it "should" still be functional in later versions. However since Blender doesn't support backward compatibility anymore, it's just an extremely uncomfortable method and should've been resolved by the addon devs way before it got released.

You've got to unzip the addon and then put the Gscatter file into the addons folder in the Blender 3.6 file
