Mine's fantastic. I love all the same things as you've listed. The V15 is a pleasure to operate, and produces the finest quality results I've ever gotten from a vacuum. I believe, with the combination of adjusting the High Torque Drive gate setting, suction mode, and the auto sensitivity level, you can maximize the quality of your cleaning performance on all different carpet types. The Laser Slim Fluffy cleaning head is simply unsurpassed for hard surfaces, and the Anti Tangle Screw head works amazingly, as well. Get yourself a decently long flexible hose, and together with the soft bristled tool, or even the combination tool, this vacuum works wonderfully as a handheld duster. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.
Best money I’ve ever spent. Use it 2-3 times a day. It’s part of my daily routine now. I love walking around with no socks again! The laser is surprisingly satisfying.
Insane battery life in v15 and thats Only One battery then Imagine two but you could with No problem clean a big house with the dyson v15 with just 1 battery power, this is impressive 👍💪
Excellent review! Recently, the deals have been improving. We got the Absolute here in the US with an additional battery and a floor stand for a total of $700 plus taxes. That's still a lot of dough for a vacuum, but given the performance and form factor, it's doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. Many thanks.
Anyone who says that these dyson vacs are cheap products that are overpriced and don't work and that will break easily dont know what theyre talking about. I've owned a used v10 motorhead for about 3 yrs now. I dont know how many times I've accidentally dropped it onto my hard tile floor on the battery, its side, and the top. One of the cyclones on the side is dented in, and that's the only visible damage it has. But it still runs perfectly fine with no issues. The battery is still as strong as when I bought it. And the bin although being made of plastic is very very durable. Dyson did say they make their plastic bins from the same materials used to make police riot shields and I believe them.
@@blackice7408 I used to think they were way overpriced too but you realize what you've been missing once you actually get one. My V7 Animal still picks up a lot more debris and hair/dust than any upright vacuum I have ever used and that includes bagged upright vacuums.
Terrific, complete, concise, clear presentation. Thank you. My only dilemma is to HEPA or not to HEPA. The additional cost is minimal, so my question is do I really need an HEPA filter that is, of course, useful, but adds weight. I'm so conflicted.
I ordered the Dyson V15 Detect I am excited to get it. I am concerned about charging the battery can I do that without it being connected to the stick part, hopefully I will be able to figure it out.
Do you have any reviews that show how well the suction works after a year or more of use? I am looking to find out which vacuum would be the best for long term usage.
As long as you regularly maintain your vacuum properly it's much more likely that over time you'll notice a decrease in battery life versus a decrease in suction. James Dyson was quoted saying "Fifteen years of daily use might get you down to 80% battery," and that was on the Dyson V10 and I would assume that number has either stayed the same or maybe even gotten better.
@@porschepal7932 that’s bullshit. One year and the battery will fail. Look online how many people have dead batteries after one year. That’s why you need the warranty.
@@jo9732 James Dyson also said that about the V10. He didn't say anything about the V7 nor had he said anything about the newer versions. For all I know the new ones don't last. 🤷♂️
I have a strange problem with my Dyson V15 Detect Absolute. The High Torque Head works perfectly when attached directly to the vacuum unit. But when attached to the wand, the rotating brush only spins erratically and more often than not doesn’t spin at all. All of the other cleaner heads work perfectly, both when connected directly and also via the wand. I reported this to Dyson who said they will send a new High Torque Head. But their problem is they allegedly don’t have any ! I’ve been asked to call back after a couple of weeks, which seems most unsatisfactory. The package was purchased direct from Dyson UK only two months ago and has probably only had a total of little more than one or two hours use. What should I do ?
I took it off the V15 and put it on the V11 Absolute (same machine as V11 Torque Drive essentially) and it worked. I did not do any testing or anything but it ran properly - brushroll spinning and laser on.
Hi, I’m hoping you can answer this question but I just purchased the V 15 detect, and I’m not seeing the auto mode on the screen at all. I just used it, and it’s amazing it got in a credible amount of dirt off my carpet, but the only molds that came up or Echo, boost, and MED. There was no auto mode at all. Any thoughts?
It runs in auto mode when it’s on Med and has one of the three floor heads on (hair screw, fluffy, or the main one). If you can see the particle data, it’s in auto. You should hear it change suction as it gets to heavier dirt. If you have one of those heads attached and don’t see the particle data, you need to change the settings.
The laser stopped working first day I got it. I was just quick testing it and it stopped. Had to turn the vacuum off and back on and only then it worked but then suddenly stopped again and the light is interrupted...not sure what s wrong
For the digital motorbar 3:15. What is purpose on that red + & - mean. Carpet height adjustment? Plus for high, middle for medium and minus for low pile. Must have a purpose. Manual doesn't say anything of the purpose of it.
Are the fluffy cleaner heads adaptable to work on rugs when vacuuming in wood floor homes? Or do we have to swap heads every time we want to vacuum rugs?
The fluffy head is great for hard wood floors it can get the loose surface stuff off of the carpets but doesn’t penetrate deep in the carpet so you would want to change to the other head for that.
Yeah - you would want to swap to the High torque cleaner head if you are doing carpet. However, the High torque cleaner head can do both carpet and bare floors (although it is not as effective on bare floors as the fluffy cleaner head).
Hi does the soft roller brush clean up human hair effectively or does hair get tangled on the brush? Like the omniglide which did not pick up hair effectively. Thanks for the video
If you don’t like it leave. If you can’t say anything nice how about saying nothing at all and keep moving? We are fans of his presentations, not your cup of tea, take a hike! You’re the creep!

It adds micrograms. Ur not gonna feel it Also it comes with extra attachments and some come with a crevice tool that lights up
U need a HEPA, i have a V8 that doesn't have HEPA, i sneeze every time i use that damn thing because the air outet facing my face directly.
I would go with the HEPA if you're still deciding.

Thanks Gheorghita
Was waiting for this one! Great job as always!
Thanks a lot Matt
Happy you are back
Thanks!
Do you have any reviews that show how well the suction works after a year or more of use? I am looking to find out which vacuum would be the best for long term usage.
Dyson's maintain their suction as long as you regularly wash the filters and let them completely dry (24-48 hours) before putting them back in.
As long as you regularly maintain your vacuum properly it's much more likely that over time you'll notice a decrease in battery life versus a decrease in suction. THANK YOU VERY MUCH GREAT VIDEO ALL INFORMATION I NEED 🙏🙏💞💞🙏🙏
Great Video! I'm really interested in that new omni glide one...
Good video Nigel, I have a V11 do you think the fluffy laser Is compatible with my V11 ?

is it safe to charge the battery even if its not fully drained.about 50% or after every use?
I’m using a V8 absolute and it’s still working great.. but I’m debating whether I should update for a V15
Nope you absolutely don’t need it if yours works fine
Don’t update. Waste of money. Keep using your old one.
@@jo9732 My V8 is still going so strong that I thought it would be a waste to upgrade now! Still have it!
In italian dyson website is reported 240w power suction, on amazon 230w who is right? Even the v11 on euronics 220 watt on dyson website 185 mistery
I’m trying to decide between this or a robot proscenic m8 pro for a carpeted house.
Fantastic review, thank you! Just ordered one…

Can you advise on the runtime in auto mode on carpet?

Will the hepa filter on V15 work on V11?
I haven't done any testing or in depth checking, but I pulled the filter off my V15 and it fit just fine on my V11 Absolute.

Omni-glide next?
Looking into it...
Got one and would have said i love it if the carpet head didnt stop every 30 seconds if not on ECO. Med pile carpet.
Micro next
To cut long hair n prevent tangle thats what the teeth for
Nothing to see her v11 just the same
It's heavy
Your voice is creepy why is it so soft guy
