Had mine a month - With 3 kids 3-and-under I needed to vacuum a lot. I used to loathe cleaning the floors. BUT. Now it's one of my most loved part of my nightly routine. I turn off all the lights after I've done my teeth and so on, turn on my lazer and it's just so calming and satisfying. 😌 I love it so much I watched this video even though I have one. 🤣 My 3yr old even loves giving it a go once I'm done in the nursery. ❤
some reviews don't get this laser. Dyson is last to have lights on the floor heads which is valuable for not missing anything and the pleasure of seeing dirt being removed
@Lashinyen We used to have a corded vacuum for the floors in my kids room (Rather long carpet) and naively thought it worked well. Then I got the Dysom V15 to save my back on the hard floors as well as stop my kids constantly tripping over the cord when I do their room, and to help my autistic son because the noise was too much. And it said the carpet was filthy. Took me an hour and several bin empties before the V15 was happy. So yes, it is amazing on carpets. We since swapped to hard floors in the kids room, since summers are dangerously hot here but winter we can just wear slippers and be fine. We have a car play-mat carpet instead and the Dyson hates it. It always goes on auto boost and wants to stay there forever and the gunk that comes off it is nauseating. I'm over a year on now and I still LOVE this hoover.
@lashinyen1166 @4:10 that's what you use for carpet. No lazer but it does and insane good job of cleaning. This machine is a quiet beast. A silent dirt killer. It amazing.
Forgot the clear clip unit. Just figured it out. Too bad photo not allowed in comments! Clip it to the pole and add one accessory to the top and one to the bottom, so you have them with you from room to room if you wish. You’re welcome!☺️
Agree with your comment that if your old Dyson vac is still working, stick with it. My kids have gotten into the habit of cleaning their rooms thanks to the ease of using Dyson.
Grown up wishes. Good ones by the way. Just the other day me, and my friend realized how we have changed. When we were teens we were like:" Check out my mascara/eyeshadow palette/handbag." Today were like:" Check out this flat silicone toiletbrush! Brooooo! No way, check out my mop! Noooo waaay! You will nevvvvverrr gues what wacuum I got!" I just got the previous version of Dyson, and I am so pleased with this vacuum. I feel so free with this one. It does a great job!
Ima b real. I bought the vacuum at costco like a year ago. Threw all the attachments in a zip lock bag and STR8 into closet. Never understood it until watching ur vid. Pulling em out the ziplock now. Thanks.
I splurged and got one. I loved it for the 5 months it worked. I contacted Dyson and they suggested a new battery. That worked 3 times. I am so disappointed in this vacuum 😥
We also had issues with the battery of our dyson. We had to have it replaced more than three times and I just got out our with our vacuum never working I got rid of it.
fun fact, all dyson cordless floor heads (like the high torqe head) can be used on hard floors, its carbon fiber brushes dust hard floors and can help with dust pickup on carpet, the red ones are regular, but no floor head will pickup as well as a fluffy one on hard floors
I recently purchased a V15 from Costco and appreciate your comments about the attachments. However, my wife and I are still trying to figure out how to use the clear "accessory clip". Otherwise, great video!
I bought it too in Costco but it’s very hard to work with it because I can’t drive it easily, is hard to drive it. Please help me how can I use it easily 🙏
@DwayneYamato Have you figured it out? It clips onto the wand then you add your two most-used attachments to it (only slides in one way and you’ll hear the click)
How does this vacuum work on high-pile carpet? We currently rent and have high-pile carpets in our bedrooms and on our stairs. We have 3 cats so I am constantly vacuuming. Love that this comes with so many attachments and has the opportunity to be handheld as well
I love my V15 detect. I was worried about cutting the cord but I will not go back. It’s so light, quiet, and convenient to use the Dyson V15 compared to a traditional vacuum.
I've just ordered the V15. It will arrive in few days. I am very much looking forward to begin to use it. No cord, no hose and no running over my toes. I have developed a very bad relationship with my old Dyson C33 pro. It has constantly been after my toes and the cleaning head has had to be repaired several times. I expect there'll be none of that with the V15.
I've got the v11 outsize and so far so good. I like the concept of the laser but I also just do the white sock rest when I am done and well my socks are staying white and not collecting hair or dirt. Thank you for the demo. Also, dyson has payment plans which make it more accessible and the V15 detect is currently out of stock. ** moonwalks back to room**
I really love dyson. Ive tried other vacuums on the budget end i end up always end up going back to my old dyson. So, i will invest on this new dysonv15 and go cordless. My husband said it was too expensive but when he wanted to buy a tablet s7 it came almost to be the same price and the tablet i feel like it really isn't worth it since we don't use it all the time like a vacuum.
OMG! I bought the Dyson Outsize .. very similar to this ... that included the laser light tool. Now I feel like my house has never been clean before despite all of my previous Dysons! I am really not sure I like it....but I love the other new small pet hair tool. It's great on so many things like furniture and carpeted stairs. PS: The Outsize is HEAVY! Very hard on my tender lower back.
i understand..totally! i found one at Goodwill for $30... ( which is a chunk of money for anything at Goodwill! 😳) It was an older Dyson Ball Animal... we called Dyson Corporation while we were still in the store with the serial number and model number of the unit , & found out that we could register it very easily and it was still under warranty.... even if it's not under warranty still they can refurbish it and nine times out of ten at no charge clean it up and ship it back to you ... Anyway because it was still under warranty from the old owner when they bought it we shipped it to them free , they refurbished it and replace parts that thing works so fantastically!! 🤗
I hated spending that much too. After having it for a year, I hate it. I'll take a corded vacuum any day of the week. For what you spend on it, this should be the best vacuum ever and it's just not. I spent $100 on the one I had before the Dyson (a shark duo) and I honestly wish I'd kept that one instead of succumbing to consumer pressure.
Curious about people's thoughts on the 2yr warranty. U'd think for $800 they can at least assure it'd be working for 5yrs. I didn't check each one, but the v15 absolute seems to be at 2yrs right now
Love my v15. I turned off the particle counter. It counts all particles for a month then company resets. I woukd prefer i had the option to reset counter so i could see the debree at each cleaning. The lazer is excellent. Overall i am glad i bought mine
Very nice video because my mum was also going to buy the dyson v15 this video was very useful and helpful explaining the spare parts and what there used for also explaining how the dustbin opens very simple just tap the red button push forward
I almost purchased one of these a couple months ago when I was having trouble with my Shark ION Flex. But the problem was solved so I decided I could't justify spending 700 dollars for the V15 but I still can't get this Dyson off my mind. Everytime I see a video about this machine I'm tempted to buy even though I have 2 perfectly functioning cordless vacuums
Maybe this has been answered already, but there is a v12. I've ordered one and should have it next week. I've heard that numbers 13 and 14 are considered unlucky numbers in some countries, so they are skipping those.
I've been wanting a dyson cordless vacuum for over a year, but I just can't see myself spending $700 + tax for a V15 model. Even the V8 for $400 is so expensive!
It's worth it, honestly. If you need to replace a vacuum I'd really say it'll be worth it. As said in the video, it'll last ages in terms of use and tech, and it's so easy to click and go. It's quiet, you can stick your tools onto the stick and swap what you use easily and it's so quiet. It's less of a buy and more of an investment really. Saves time, work, improves your health because of how thoroughly it cleans and the ease of use. It's costly, yes, but it earns it's money.
My mom had gone thru 4 vacuum cleaners in her 1200+ square foot house. Back when I lived with her, we had 4 dogs. So lots of dog hair. And honestly, most of the hair that got caught around the bristles of the vacuum were my moms. We had vacuums burn out, not work that well, and die on us out of nowhere. Whenever my parents got their income tax money, my mom went out and bought a Dyson. It wasnt a cordless.. it was the one with the weird purple ball on the bottom. I kid you not, when we first put it together, we vacuumed our living room carpet and filled up a 5 gallon bucket 3/4 of the way full with sand from the carpet. We literally took turns playing with the vacuum like it was some luxury item. Yeah, I think there's a lot of hype behind Dyson's and I think they're expensive (I own a $45 cheap ass Bissel) but I would definitely recommend Dyson vacuums to anyone who needs a heavy duty vacuum. I can't speak about the cordless ones and personally I would think the plug in ones, like my mom's, would be more powerful. But they have EXCELLENT customer service, even out of warranty. I called about 2 years after it went out of warranty because it stopped sucking up dirt like it used to. The lady on the phone literally sent me an email while I was on the phone with her and showed me how to remove the internal hose (which I had no clue was there). Found a huge clog of toothpicks and my moms hair that was blocking the hose. It's still going and its 7+ years old. Definitely would recommend if you have the funds for it. Just beware, you won't ever get another vacuum brand afterwards. lol Edit: Mom has the Dyson Ball Animal 2. That's what I'd recommend. Especially if you can find a refurb or used one. It doesn't have fancy lasers or whatever. But it does have motorized attachments and whatnot.
I was the same. I couldn't justify the cost. But I consistently heard rave reviews from people I knew who used Dyson products. So I waited until cyber Monday and got my V8 on a deep discount with bonus accessories. I love it. I am constantly amazed by the amount of dirt, dust, and pet hair that it picks up that my old vacuum left behind.
@Jojo Moa yes I just bought one in Australia with money I got from a very generous relative. I felt sick spending this much on a vacuum. I hope it’s worth it!
Day 1 the anti-tangling comb head failed on me with basic use on flooring not carpet and the surface was barely covered in dirt and hair. It stalled out now I have to see about getting it fixed or getting a replacement since it failed after very basic use.
And I thought I was doing good to finally be able to afford the V7 this year 😂. I will say, I’ve tried other cordless vacuums and they sucked compared to my dyson. I do wish the older models has better battery time. I can do about three medium sized rooms and it’s already time to recharge.
I hated my Dyson. There’s a channel on the side that you can see in the footage of emptying the bin - that thing sucked up tons of hair and dust and got completely clogged, and I pulled out like a 6-8 inch long clump of nasty stuff. The whole reason I wanted the Dyson is to not have to reach in the bin to get clumps off stuff out of it when I dump it in the garbage. It wouldn’t suck up anything - I think we used it two or three times before it got completely blocked. What’s the point of the rubber flap if it doesn’t block that stuff from getting in there?
Dyson yes it is expensive but once I tried it I would never go back to another vacuum cleaner. especially not the one with the cable. when this one of mine that I have expires, I definitely buy dyson again!!!
The sensor scared the crap out of me. I have hardwood to area rug. The wood was fine and then the motor revved up and suddenly I was at 14 minutes. So much to learn. I do love it and I love my V10 too. One upstairs and the other downstairs. The laser is "white glove" cleaning.
Great video. One question: Is the fluffy brush (the one with the green laser) effective to vacuum floors with dog hair? Or the hairs will stuck on the roller?
We just bought this model tonight after loving our Dyson Animal Vac for almost 20 years. It still runs and works, but we thought we'd try a stick model for a change. Why don't these V15s come with a hose? There's one shown in a pic on the box, so we thought it was included. Hoses are so much handier for some jobs, so why does a $600 vacuum cleaner not have one? Any info on that?
Damn! I've had a Dyson Animal upright for a new years. I loved it. However, I wanted the ease of a stick vacuum so, I recent bought a Dyson V11 Outsize. I love it. Viewing this video doesn't really make me want to run out and buy a V15, as cool as it is, but I would love that "fluffy" tool!
We just bought today the v15 detect from Costco. As soon as we got home my husband, who is usually the one that vacuums our floors, started charging it. What I have noticed is that there is not attachment that would let him clean under the bed. He had to bend all the way down to the floor so he can vacuum it underneath. Any suggestion as to how to clean the floor easier, would be very much appreciated. Thanks
There is a video showing the low profile when placed flat to reach under beds and dressers. If you need to reach under, you have to bend down - on all vacuums! 🙈
2 роки тому+1
Subscribing! Where did you get your gray bench/ ottoman? It’s So nice and functional
What do you recommend for hair on engineered floors, both cat and human hair? I like the no tangle feature and also the fluffy floor features. Thank you
What concerns me is the switch for emptying the bin. The Dyson bin switch is notoriously stiff and difficult to manovre. On my last Dyson - a long time ago - I had to use two thumbs to use the switch. But then the switch was located between the handle so you could still hold the vacuum. This bin switch looks like you cannot hold onto the vacuum and operate it.
When I got mine I was cleaning all day 24hrs! because of the lazor detector. I don't know if it's a good thing or not cause seeing all the dust makes me wonder 😅😢
Yes. My 5-month old crawls around trying to play with it, and I video call my partner whilst vacuuming and he barely even notices I'm doing it. It's not silent, but it's the quietest vacuum I've found. And it's more powerful than my wired vacuum as well (Which I'm getting rid of. 🤣).
@Ňaraŋĵa actually, they arent much more expensive for what they offer. but that they fall apart faster? you have no data on that, ive had mine for 3 years and its held up way better than any other vacuum ive had, also, it works better, has a sealed filtration and it cost me ubder 300$. your assumptions are not facts. i get it that they are not the cheapest, but they are better
I have a V11 Animal+ and love it. However, I really wish it came with a soft duster brush. If the quality is anything like my Dyson Animal DC15 I'll never have to buy another vacuum. That one just keeps on going.
This motor is heavier and longer so I think it may be tiring on your hand/arm. Have you noticed that? You didn't mention 2 of the pieces by the wall hanger. The V7 I have hurts the top edge of my hand because it rubs as I hold/ use the trigger. How does this feel?
I have the V7 and just got the V15. I find it very heavy but do love how it cleans so well. Much more suction than the V7. And yes, my finger gets sore on the trigger as well.
There is a model V12 slim. Wondering why no V13 & V14 tho. Heard there’s also a mini model but haven’t seen one in the states (US) maybe it’s a UK model
Question is what vacuum do you have and use currently - 1 year later? Looking for a long term review on this specifically for the long hair on plush carpet.
I like to buy my dyson at QVC when they go on Today special value... you'll get more attachment and you can pay in installment. Check everyday when it close to black Friday.
Can you please show how to install the docking station and is it necessary? I'm not tech or handy man savvy. Can you recharge it by plugging it into a wall? I always wanted a Dyson but no one shows this aspect of setting them up. Thanks so much!! 💗💗💗
i have been using dyson v15 since few weeks, its good but after everytime its totally full, does that mean its ruining my carpet? and it says change filter after every use but the filter looks clean, m confused

And you never said how much running time this vacuum has ?🙄🙄🙄🙄🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
How long do u charge it for
Hello. What's the difference between the V15 Detect Animal and the V15 Detect Absolute. Please give full details
ELLO MATE
Does it work on a carpeted floor? I'm really looking for a vacuum that is cordless but can really clean carpeted floor
You’re welcome!☺️
this comment is why I came, thank you!
Oh thank you! I was looking for an explanation about the transparent clip too!
You will nevvvvverrr gues what wacuum I got!"
I just got the previous version of Dyson, and I am so pleased with this vacuum. I feel so free with this one. It does a great job!
The fluffy laser tool is no joke. You can see every ounce of everything on the floor. I just got my V15 and absolutely love it.
how is the vacuum holding up, i am planning on purchasing the V15

I've had my Dyson for 13 years. Wonderful product.
O wow!
I ordered mines today! I had a couple of stick models that only lasted for a year or 2. Good to hear you had yours for 13 years
I recently purchased a V15 from Costco and appreciate your comments about the attachments. However, my wife and I are still trying to figure out how to use the clear "accessory clip". Otherwise, great video!
Just bought one. Good question and if I ever have to put back in the box, forget it
I bought it too in Costco but it’s very hard to work with it because I can’t drive it easily, is hard to drive it. Please help me how can I use it easily 🙏
@DwayneYamato Have you figured it out? It clips onto the wand then you add your two most-used attachments to it (only slides in one way and you’ll hear the click)
Great video. I have ordered my very first Dyson! (v15) Its on its way. Cant wait. This video will make things so easy for me. Thanks.

I called Dyson today and will be buying the V15 Detect Absolute, this will be my 2nd Dyson, LOVE THEM! 💞
I have one and it’s by far the best vacuum I’ve ever had
My V10 just shit the bed, so I splurged and got the V15… omg I’m cleaning things I never thought I’d be cleaning! This thing is amazing!

Is this work well with carpets?
Thank you for the video. Can you show us how to clean it and how do you store these parts. Thx
I have two shedding dogs and my 1 yr old son. I absolutely love the convenience of a cordless vacuum. It's so good!
Thank you for this. My old one is broken so I ordered it. Should be delivered today. So exited to use it. I got it in the same color.
Love my new V15 Detect! The laser is so useful and I love the freedom of a cordless.
I just got my v15 detect and my God my floors are dusty using the Lazer! This thing is amazing.
Very hard on my tender lower back.
you should check out the V15, it weighs same as V11 and is as powerful as the outsize, just with the slightly small heads.
Sounds awesome but can’t stomach the cost☹️
i understand..totally!
i found one at Goodwill for $30...
same but Dyson is the only vacuum that doesn't get clogged with fine dust easily. fine dust is a killer for any vacuum other than a Dyson
Me going through my wallet counting my one dollar bills
Just ordered mine with bonus attachments for 588.
Just the video I was looking for, cleared up my confusion. Thanks
Curious about people's thoughts on the 2yr warranty. U'd think for $800 they can at least assure it'd be working for 5yrs. I didn't check each one, but the v15 absolute seems to be at 2yrs right now

When i put my Dyson on a charger, it starts counting from the zero.
I just love this counting senzor 🥰
I have a love relationship with my V15! The best ever!!!
V15 Detect $700.00
I will have to wait on this one. My V7 and V8 Animals are still going strong ❤
I just got one at Costco. Once it’s charged at 100% do we put it back on charger station each time we’re done?
Very nice video because my mum was also going to buy the dyson v15 this video was very useful and helpful explaining the spare parts and what there used for also explaining how the dustbin opens very simple just tap the red button push forward

Do you have to hold the power switch on while using it like the V8?
How do you store all the attachments?
I’d like to know this too
Have you ever made a video about how to clean vacuums? They get so icky.
Thanks for the review. Can you cover a way to cleanup the tools in an episode ?
I've been wanting a dyson cordless vacuum for over a year, but I just can't see myself spending $700 + tax for a V15 model. Even the V8 for $400 is so expensive!

@@kodywilcox I don't care that much about being cordless, but, is it heavy?
QUESTION: Does the wand lay down parallel to the floor so you can get all the way under things (a sofa, for example)? Thanks!

Do you know if the v15 has some sort of protection from over charging when being left charging overnight. Would it damage the lifespan of the battery
How can we clean this is there a video?
Thanks for the Vid. What's that at 0:27 (accessary clip)
My grandparents model model came with a mattress tool and a extendable crevice tool
Dyson needs to make a full size vacuum head that doesnt get wrapped up with hair for everyone of their vacuums
The sensor scared the crap out of me. I have hardwood to area rug. The wood was fine and then the motor revved up and suddenly I was at 14 minutes. So much to learn. I do love it and I love my V10 too. One upstairs and the other downstairs. The laser is "white glove" cleaning.
Thank you so much for your video. You answered every single question I had. Just marvellous x
Did not hear any comments about battery time.
Maybe jumping from 11 to 15 is a marketing ploy. If you have a 7 or 8 it feels really behind the times now. 😅
I’m in awe of this dyson!! Just got mine and this video was so helpful. Very informative. ❤🎉😊
Just in time! My family is thinking of getting a Dyson V8 absolute. We're comparing Dysons!
Get the v10 absolute
The V8 is bordering on 6 year old technology and power. Get the V11 at least
The battery life alone is worth upgrading to at least the v11.
Thanks for the suggestions!
Any recommendations on how to organize the accessories?

Really appreciate the detailed review. Can you tell me what the red slider on the front does? I've read it increases suction power, and if so, how?
How would use this in a car footwell as body is quite long, is their an additional attachment i.e flexible hose?
We just bought today the v15 detect from Costco. As soon as we got home my husband, who is usually the one that vacuums our floors, started charging it. What I have noticed is that there is not attachment that would let him clean under the bed. He had to bend all the way down to the floor so he can vacuum it underneath. Any suggestion as to how to clean the floor easier, would be very much appreciated. Thanks
There is a video showing the low profile when placed flat to reach under beds and dressers. If you need to reach under, you have to bend down - on all vacuums! 🙈
Subscribing!
Where did you get your gray bench/ ottoman?
It’s So nice and functional
I think the laser is pretty awesome!! I didnt know my house was so dirty... lol
I'm buying it for the mini brush head. Hair has ruined our dyson vaccums
Melissa you are too efficient . Already shopped for summer sale !! Love your products
Can you get the laser head separately to use with an older Dyson? I have the v11
As a Warcraft Player, I think the skip from V11 and V15 was because Dyson decided to release a new Raid tier.
I have a v11 can’t say I’m impressed with it in any way wish I just kept my money. My central vacuum is much more convenient and powerful !
Do you or anyone have ideas of how to store and have easy access to the tools.....without a building something project?
Which specifics work For V15 battery replacement? I mean voltage, mAh o amperage? Can V11 battery be used?
I need a new vacuum, is the Dyson quiet? Thanks from South Ga
Yes. My 5-month old crawls around trying to play with it, and I video call my partner whilst vacuuming and he barely even notices I'm doing it. It's not silent, but it's the quietest vacuum I've found. And it's more powerful than my wired vacuum as well (Which I'm getting rid of. 🤣).
Tysons just playing with us to make us feel like we are outdated and we must we just must upgrade
its called improving and incorporating technology. you chose
Do you have to continuously push the on button to operate or just squeeze once?
Continuous
Hi. That little bitty clear looking tool to your right, what is it for?
Thanks ahead.
My dream vacuum cleaner!
I'm still using my DC01. Bought by my Mam as a house warming present in 1997. Current ones are not as good.
Thank you for chapters
There is a model V12 slim. Wondering why no V13 & V14 tho. Heard there’s also a mini model but haven’t seen one in the states (US) maybe it’s a UK model
V15 because 12, 13, and 14 were all included in the v15 upgrade and through development they completed around the same time so why delay the release?
Very cool vacuum! Thank you for posting!
Another great Dyson review!
I just bought a V10 today.
Good for you. It's a fantastic vacuum.
Question is what vacuum do you have and use currently - 1 year later? Looking for a long term review on this specifically for the long hair on plush carpet.
Is there any time of the year to find this vacuum on a promotion or discount e.g. Black Friday ?
I like to buy my dyson at QVC when they go on Today special value... you'll get more attachment and you can pay in installment. Check everyday when it close to black Friday.
I got my V8 last year for black Friday, and it was nearly 50% off.
This looks sci-fi cool! I just bought the v11 and love love it! How often should you clean the filter?
Once a month
How come mine come with the anti tangel brush, and two of the small ones?? And it is doesn’t vacuum when I pull it backwards towards me!!
Could you use v15 accessories with the v11?
Did you receive an answer from any source? (Can v11 accessories fit v15? )
Can you please show how to install the docking station and is it necessary? I'm not tech or handy man savvy. Can you recharge it by plugging it into a wall? I always wanted a Dyson but no one shows this aspect of setting them up. Thanks so much!! 💗💗💗
Yes they plug directly into the wall.
Great review Melissa! How is the battery compared to the V7? Any idea?
What about video about dye on clean kit. .this came from dyson. As a special .? Ps what is little clear plastic thing for ?
Had mine 2 weeks and it’s blowing a lot of air out up near the top. Is this normal?
i have been using dyson v15 since few weeks, its good but after everytime its totally full, does that mean its ruining my carpet? and it says change filter after every use but the filter looks clean, m confused
