Just purchased the V15 to help out the Deebot N8 Pro robot vac with tile floors with area rugs. The V15 really helps with stairs, corners, closets, fabric furniture, window sill/blinds, and parts of the floor the robot vac can't reach. Spot cleaning and deep cleaning of high traffic areas are excellent.
Great V11 vs V15 review, Cam! It practically helped me chose the right vacuum for my house, a V15. Thank you! I subscribed as well because you analysis proved to be deep and objective. I'll surely watch other analyses/comparisons for other items,

I have a v15 and the brush roller head has a problem at the ball joint. The joint is great because you can go completely flat when you are going under the bed etc but this joint is level with the brush and has been scratching my wood floors so it's good for carpet only. Forced to change to the fluffy for all floors except carpet. I bought it additionally at the time of original purchase. Has anyone had this problem. I didn't notice it initially in the wood but I VCT tile and also painted cement in the basement and it definitely scratches, especially when I am turning it and the little disks covering the ball joint hit down

I'm so torn - the place I am renting now only has a rug and a carpeted bedroom, but the rest of it is tile -- BUT I want this to be an investment so it can be used when we move into a bigger place eventually, which may have more carpet/need better battery/suction. The fact the V11 doesn't have a soft roller (in the US) is really making me think I want a 10, 12, 15

Have you removed the head parts to clean? Dyson has a video on washing the brushes in the head. To be clear it’s not made for rough surfaces such as concrete, but you can buy replacement brushes for it without having to replace the whole head.
@@Clove_Parma yes, I actually watched that video where they clean a perfectly clean roller hehehe, my house is 100% tiled floor, no rough surfaces... These soft gliding strips can and need to be replaced on the V8 fluffy head. But also the little wheels of that may be subject to wear, and that is currently my biggest concern with the Dyson stick vacuums, because replacing these strips is a hassle and the strips seem only available from third parties.

Using an automotive analogy, comparing the V11 to the V15 is akin to comparing a Challenger Scat Pack to a Hellcat. While the latter has a significant increase in specifications compared to the former, the real-world performance gains for the cost difference are, at best, negligible and not worth the price of admission. I bought my wife a V11 Torque Drive a few years ago, and that thing could very well suck a baseball through a garden hose. Moreover, it has so much suction on carpeted areas in the auto mode with the gates half open that it has found shoddy installation because it has caused the carpet to washboard in some areas. It's my opinion that it's not worth paying nearly $800.00 to upgrade from the still perfectly good V11, which is still for sale and is now available with a removable click battery on home shopping channels for almost $300.00 less, and offering 97% of the V15's overall performance. That is unless someone has to have the gimmicky and useless particle counter. However, We are open to upgrading to the fluffy laser head. But, again, that's a whole lot less than buying a new vacuum.
how about leaking dust test ? could you do a dust test where u vacuum clean and come back after 1-4 weeks to see if there is a dust build up in that room/ area ?
Except when you can NOT open the bin to empty it.. it was a ton of money for an appliance I could only use ONE time cause the bin got full and would not empty! This socks big time!
One quick question, is v15 noisier compared with v11 when both with high torque head? I feel like there’s a noise caused by brush rubbing on the case for v15?
Idk if that sounds stupid to anyone but in where I live V15 is actually cheaper than V11 lol 🤣🤷🏻♀️ that’s why I’m confused like is the old one was better?? 🤔

what about tiles on the floor?
The soft roller is best for hard floors
What about the v11 absolute that comes with the fluffy head though? Why did you say the v11 doesn't come with the fluffy head? Ive got 3 lol
@@camsecore no. Nova Scotia
I had both and the V15 is almost impossible to vacuum my rugs but other then that it is awesome
Siz nasıl incelediniz v 15serisini incelemeden yorum yapıyorsunuz tam bilgi.alamsmisiniz
I am also concerned about V15 laser light would probably give me anxiety while cleaning 🙃 sometimes not knowing is better 😀
how about leaking dust test ? could you do a dust test where u vacuum clean and come back after 1-4 weeks to see if there is a dust build up in that room/ area ?
I see that "hooked" book. Great read.
@@camsecore Are you building a product to compete with Dyson?
Great review!
Thanks!
Thanks for the review, very helpful
Thank you for the video, very informative.
I'm in the U.K. and I got a fluffy roller with my v11 absolute
By “medium” in your tests did you mean “auto” on the V11?
@@camsecore great, thanks.
Great explanation, thank you very much.
Are the attachments the same? Like to explain my self better, will the attachment to the v15 fit the V11? Thanks in advance
@@camsecore AWESOME, thanks
For those with mostly hardwoods floors, would you say there is a huge difference between the v10 absolute and the v15 detect?
Can you please measure the height of the new slim roller compared to the height of the old fluffy? Thank you!!
Reliability?
Love how you say everything in the intro and then explain.. Hate how they leave it to the end..
great review, thanks.
In italy they allways in v11 have fluffy roller too
So v12 is btr thn both.. cux its between both somewat..
You sound like a German who tries to imitate American accent. Btw I love your eyes and your thick eyebrows..
Except when you can NOT open the bin to empty it.. it was a ton of money for an appliance I could only use ONE time cause the bin got full and would not empty! This socks big time!
Thank you, very helpful👍👍👍
does anyone ever use boost mode?
Thank you for the content
One quick question, is v15 noisier compared with v11 when both with high torque head? I feel like there’s a noise caused by brush rubbing on the case for v15?
We got one v15 recently, just want to make sure it is defect…
Thank you. I am truly an Oreck girl!
Does anyone know how to reset the V15?
Reset is removing the battery and pressing the back button for a sec to discharge. For anything more serious you should give Dyson a call
Thank you so much 👍🙇🏻
You can buy V11 with both high torque and soft roller head in the package.
More than enough to clean your house.
Which country? I don't think that's available in the US.
@@camsecore The package called 'Dyson v11 Absolute+' . I bought it in 2019. Malaysia.
Nice. Thanks for the insight!
Thank you!!
Idk if that sounds stupid to anyone but in where I live V15 is actually cheaper than V11 lol 🤣🤷🏻♀️ that’s why I’m confused like is the old one was better?? 🤔
Great review! I think I skip the v11 and v15 and get the v10 for 200€ cheaper than the v15.
You could just buy the Fluffy hard floor head for any of the older dyson
@@camsecore nevermind the v15 attachment doesn't Work on older attachment
@@camsecore i just tried. It doesn't. So if you buy the v15 none of your v11 stuff fits
Just bought the v11. No soft roller :( I’m going to buy the laser slim fluffy roller to make myself feel better about not buying the v15 😅
I wish most reviews was done like yours. Thank you so much for saving me $800 😚I have a V11 and I used my soft roller from my previous model. Is that ok to use the soft roller on my carpets ? I have been using that for the last couple of years. And my carpet roller still brand new in the box. Too lazy to switch 🤨
@@camsecore my carpets are clean but maybe I ruined my soft roller yaks
V11 also has soft roller here
@@camsecore yes that’s right.
is not making you the taxes?? I dont want it...
What does this mean?
@@camsecore I was a joke! It make so many things... that maybe it was also doing your taxes.
You look like Christopher Masterson from Malcolm in the Middle!
