Nice review man! Solid closes bro 💪 I am sure you will crush that Hades gripper 👌
Thanks bro! Need to start training my grip again...
Great review, you are strong! If still not 100%. I have the 300 myself, i can't close it eighter, about 1,5 cm to go 😊. I also have they're new line of grippers, it's called gods of grip (elite series) . From 1-7, very good grippers. They are Silver in color, all of them. The price is around 27 dollar pr.gripper.The quality is great! In line with CoC, GHP and Robert Baraban.
Thank you! I don't train grippers very much due to my powerlifting training so not much progress has happened since this video came out. I'm aware of the Elites but after Brexit it's become very difficult to order anything from the UK with the custom charges etc. Appreciate the support 🤝
Have you tried the Xzyppci Hand Grippers?
They come in the same colors, black being the heaviest
I bought them as cheap first timer grippers
I've moved to Ironminds now
With shipping and taxes, I got 5 Xzyppci grippers (100lb - 300lb) for the price of 1 Ironmind at that time
I've heard of them. Chinese are they? They have so many brands on Amazon and Ali Baba it's crazy. Probably more than 15 or 20 different Chinese brands
thats a cool brand name
It is! Very well thought out indeed 👌
Gods of Grip
Captain of Crush
Budweiser the king of beers
It’s all about marketing
Yeeeah, I thought I saw this recommended, once! Nice review, man! I won't be getting the full set anytime soon, but I would like to grab the 150lb gripper from them, next time I order some stuff from the site.
Thanks brother! This is their older line, they've released the Elite line recently. Haven't tried them yet but at some point I'm grabbing some for sure
@@terryconjugateiron Yeah I had a look at the elite line, but they don't seem to have any guide in terms of how much resistance they offer. I know the lbs shown for the others are more of a guide, since they're not calibrated, but still, it would be nice to know what a "two star" elite gripper might be like, or "three star" or whatever. Next time I'm thinking of ordering one, I'll probably just email them first and see which they think is more similar to the Tlaloc, seeing as they are flat sold out, hahah.
@@JivecattheMagnificent yeah man don't that so you don't get a gripper you can't budge. It happens, especially when you haven't really hit your ceiling strength wise
@@terryconjugateiron Yeah totally, hahah.
Hope you do a review of the Elites when they come out, great stuff!
Unfortunately with all the customs taxes that are going on between Greece and non European countries, I'm gonna get into trouble for sure. Already went through it with Russian and American packages. Not worth it paying 70-80 euro plus shipping plus the grippers.
@@terryconjugateiron That is unfortunate. And I thought the shipping to Canada was expensive! What are your thoughts on the 20mm handle? Easier or harder than standard grippers?
@@Isaac.Correa well... I suppose it's subjective since a thicker handle like say the CoC or the GHP grippers will work better on a bigger hand with long fingers. For instance, I have problems with the 1.8mm handles cause they kinda disappear in my hand. My hands being 8.2" long. Plus, imagine swapping the 2mm handles on a spring with 1.8mm handles. All of the sudden you have 4mm more distance before closing. Hope this helps
@@terryconjugateiron yes that makes sense it may result in a wider spread but the closing distance is smaller. I’ll keep that in mind thanks!
Glad I could help, good luck with your training!
Terry which is better in your opinion god's of grip or arm lifting greece?
I'd say the knurling on the Armlifting Greece grippers is tougher which I definitely prefer. And their 250 and 300 seemed a bit harder than Gods of Grip as well. I've also done a review video on the Armlifting Greece gripper line, have you seen it?
Have you tried Captains of Crush?
Yes I have! Love them, probably my fav grippers. Not easy to find here. In the past without any training I could close the No2. That's many years ago though
I had a Captains of Crush #1 that I used for years, until the spring snapped. Actually, I still keep the remains in my desk drawer at work. I'd love, not only to replace it, but to get a full set from the trainer to a 3.5, but my problem is, and you may agree, they are so goddamn expensive. I understand the quality is undeniable, but that doesn't change my financial situation. As such, I opted to purchase the Heavy Sports grippers, the three pack on Amazon (100,150 & 200), my research eventually brought me to your video. They're doing well so far, but I'm concerned they won't last. I saw this new video and now I'm wishing I'd known about the Gods of Grip. I didn't find them on Amazon, so I'm wondering if they are only available in Europe, I believe you mentioned that you live in Greece. In any event, they don't seem to be available in North America. I hope the Heavy Sports work for me, I have the 250 & 300 on my wish list.
Unfortunately all the better brands are more expensive. It is something I've had to deal with as well. CoCs are not distributed here. You can grab them from a few spots on Europe. I don't think you'll find Gods of Grip there. At least not via a store. You'll have to contact them to get them shipped out. Much like I did. What I've been doing to cope with the budget and life and my other hobbies is buy a few grippers once in a while. Powerlifting consumes me completely but as a coach I do get something back every month. Grippers don't. I do grip cause I love it so it had to take a back seat
Good review, when with powerball gripper?
They sent me a package 2 times last year but it never arrived so I'm still waiting to see what'll happen with this situation. The grippers I'm missing are not being sold in Greece so not much I can do unfortunately
Do you have the elites?
No, after the UK exited the E.U. we get heavily taxed at customs for any purchase and it's not worth paying for the whole line plus shipping and customs slapping a fee nearly the price of the grippers on it.
@@terryconjugateiron ah, yeah that sucks. I just looked at the grippers themselves, they’re like the price of CoC lol
@@Joe-mp4nw yeah it's hard to try and support when most stuff you have to pay by yourself. I'm not saying I'm entitled to get stuff for free. But grippers aren't cheap and custom fees on top of shipping ain't helping lol
👍
