Thank you "Bamboo Training". I think this was only a CoC#1.5 in this video. Card Closes and "No Set" Closes are becoming very popular at the moment, especially with the current certification rules by IronMind, which in my opinion do not encourage proper gripper closing technique, so a lot of people are confused about how to close them properly. I hope this helps you with your gripper goals!
@@lindsayporsche8548 I hope this helps you to improve! With grippers I would recommend not over training with them. Perhaps only train with them two days per week. Introduce some heavy timed holds with grippers and some block pinch lifts into your training regime and you'll definitely progress further
Great video thanks. I have a question though. When closing a gripper with your left hand, is it better then to anchor the more bent side into the back of your left hand?
Hi, that is a good question! I usually flip the gripper round so that the flatter side of the spring is in the hand (like in a right hand set-up). Try both and see what you think. It would be interesting to have your opinion
@@jeromebloom_gripcraft6031 Thanks. I think I’ve worked out which side is more ‘curved’. One side ever so slightly comes out a bit further.. the space in between the final spring, that is. maybe less than a mm, but it’s noticeable on all the Powerball grippers. So I assume that is the curved side.
Papillon_bleu I would only train grippers one or two days per week because it stretches the tendons somewhat, which affects other Grip disciplines. I train Pinch Lifts (Key Pinch, Pinch Blocks, Claw Grip Lifts) and Supportive Lifts (Thick Bar) every day of the week
This is the best video I have seen on how to set grippers. Thanks
Mind BLOWN. How is it possible to have something in your hands and in front of your eyes everyday and still not notice those details. Nice tips
Your voice is extraordinarily pleasant to listen to. Good tips too!
Thanks! 😁

Very technical! Thank you.
You are very welcome! 👍
Thanks mate, great video. I’m stuck on 2.5, I think I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time.

Good tips
I can’t work out which side of my gripper is ‘curved’ and which side is ‘straight’. Does this apply to all grippers? I have a powerball gripper.
Good question! The "flat side" of the spring may not be as pronounced on some brands of grippers depending on how they wind the spring.

thank you amazing video! i am training to close a 250 pound griper i can almost close it. any tips to close it to the end?
Hi, I recommend 'choking' the gripper handles to a parallel position to practice just the end of the close.
Same here
That‘s what I‘m looking for
I can close the 1 about 25 times with my right and 20 with my left. Am I ready to start training with a 2?
Yes omg 😂

💪🏻
Thank you for your tips. I'm trying to close CoC 2.5, but I'm still a long way from it. Is it good to train 3 times a week? How often do you train ?
