- Every video I shot, raw and unedited, from the amazing EF-4 tornado we chased from Abilene to Chapman, during it's approx 90minute life span.
Thankfully this tornado wasn't a killer.
After the storm passed, we heading back to Salina. On the way we had a flat tyre to change at dusk as the departing storm gave us a lovely lightning show.

I was a roofer that had to fix so many houses in chapman. It was insane the damage.

I lived in Manhattan Kansas then...wish yall could've seen the storm view from there....FRIGHTENINGLY AWESOME & BEAUTIFUL 😍 Particularly the light/dark contrast just b4 sunset....many of us drove to the highway lookout spots to view it😳🤩🤩🤩🤩😭😁
Great capture, well done. Watching the lightning display at the end wishing we puny little humans could only harness the energy turned loose in one of those storms.
My old stomping grounds!!! I lived in Salina for 3 years and storm chased all over. I used to camp in my van at Wagon Wheel RV park in Abilene.❤❤😎🏜🇺🇸🌈

I read this likely would have been rated EF-5 had it hit more structures. Given how much it resembled Moore 2013 in structure and intensity, and that it bent railroad tracks horizontally on the ground, I don't doubt that in the least.
Yes that’s what I have heard also. Seemed pretty strong but as there weren’t many structures out there to hit they couldn’t rate it higher.
Pretty thankful that it wasn’t near towns though…would have been tragic.
The nws said had it stuck Chapman directly it would of been an EF5.
@@Sj430 makes sense. Glad it didn’t hit Chapman…we were parked down at the Dollar General for a time but the tornado had become rain wrapped so it was decided not to chase it any further.
This was a fine capture of a feared, big, strong tornado! I was observing the grass bending: was this an anticyclonic one?
As far as I can remember the tornado was spinning anti-clockwise so I don’t think it was anti-cyclonic
if it is clockwise, it is anticyclonic. Counterclockwise is cyclonic. At least, in the northern hemisphere, which is where Kansas is found. So this would be a cyclonic tornado. Anticyclonic tornadoes never get this big, and rarely last that long.

Turned from a non vortex tornado to a titan of a wedge this thing was pushing EF5 strength but didn't get rated as one due to a rating flaw
Always thought it would have been EF5 but since it was in such a rural area and didn’t have many buildings to destroy or people to harm (thankfully) I guess they couldn’t really rate it higher.
The nws said if it hit Chapman directly it would of been rated as a EF5.

Strange for this Tornado to move from North-west to South East and then South .
Yeah, it was an interesting tornado for sure
Bright, rapid lightning in the "crown" of a supercell like what's shown near the end of this video is almost a dead give-away of major tornado formation, especially in the late afternoon or evening.

How foolish of me to neglect to put that in the description 🤦🏼♂️😅 Rated at EF 4 I believe. Was mostly open farmland out there so not too many structures to damage.

@@StevenSagerIsSuperEpic yeah it got big, then shrunk and we thought it was dying, then got huge again. Was an amazing chase day. Especially after the magic of the storms around Dodge City the day before
EF4 even though EF5 level winds were recorded and EF5 damage in spots

Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better.
And addressing/thanking the CREATOR, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea 😊
