The footage these days is incredible, I never get bored of watching tornadoes they are the most insane weather phenomenon but I deeply respect how destructive and dangerous they are.
Me too!
There was no tornadoes in Oklahoma yesterday.. lol
@@brenh2767 'were"
@@Mysterylady628 Uh it's UA-cam .. and you're going off on a grammar error..you must be a democrat yes? 🙄
@@brenh2767 No one said there were. It clearly states 2016 at the top. Still fascinating.
Even after watching hundreds of tornado videos, I'm still absolutely amazed at the raw power of these. To see the velocity that the truck was thrown really put things into a whole new perspective for me. Mother nature wins everytime.
That wasn't a truck thrown.
@@THXx1138 what was it then?
You must be easily impressed then.
These videos are terrible
I will not elaborate
God win every time, not mother nature.

I love how you point out an F150 flying through the air as you proceed to chase this thing way closer than you should
😂 “look at the f-150!”
“I know Scott, now bring the Altima closer!”
F150 is made of aluminum anyways, so bye bye
Fords Fly different than Chevys.

This footage really gives you an insight into the power of a tornado's inner core. It's low precipitation, with a compact main vortex, and it's being shot from the perfect location. It kinda reminds me of Elie Manitoba, because it didn't have to turn into a wedge to show off its ferocity.
The Elie F5 was about as big _as_ this tornado here, except it was a singular vortex (this EF4 was a multi-vortex) and it _still_ tossed a house.
I've heard a number of stormchasers say that the most dangerous thing they face isn't the tornados, its driving in general. For the most part I agree, however with how close you get, its definitely the tornados for you. Some insane footage, but man I think you might be chasing that adrenaline a little too far sometimes.
I agree! I'm sorry to say this but they are cruising for a bruising! They are way to close
@@erickaegi629 Way way WAY too close at times, yeah.
It’s the debris. They say debris is the most dangerous part.
Yep debris is the killer in most tornado chasing deaths
let us check back in a few years and see if they've gone in the way of a lot of gopro videographers
Man you guys probably get the closest footage of up close funnel action I have ever seen people get! Very impressive - stay safe!
I assume by “close up” you mean “inside”. These guys and that crazy Tim were actually in the last one.
it's very scary how close they got
Greatest tornado video I’ve ever seen . Very exciting . Liked and subscribed

I have watched a lot of tornado videos here on UA-cam, but for some reason I have never seen this one.
Your captures are epic ! Great driving, great steady camera work. Great up close visuals.
You 2 guys make a good team. Not a lot of yelling and talking, remaining calm and present in a chaotic environment.
Multiple telephone poles and lines coming down all around you. Awesome footage. ** Subbed **
ua-cam.com/video/Szwd-0tatdo/v-deo.html this video is the most terrifying ive ever seen and ive have seen most !
Watching tornado coverage since a boy. This content was unreal. One of the best I've seen! Don't get too close man.
So YOU’RE that car that goes ahead in everyone else’s footage! For years I’ve been wondering who that guy was or where his video was! Awesome job
Funny way to put it...

@@jtfoog5220 I'd always thought about those cars driving up ahead! But watching this not once did i think about that, thank you!
@@chrisbbbbchris1 no there is a literal picture of the guy

I’ve seen different versions of this video over the last few years. I’m still amazed by the speed of the rotation, just incredible and some of the best tornado footage available.
I am still fascinated on how violent this thing was even almost 6 years later!
Yeah. Some tornadoes are weird like this. They look all pretty and don't look so scary but if you take a closer look you see how violent that wind is. This one looks kinda in between the pretty tubes dancing in a field and the big blobs that are a mile wide and ready to kill people. That rotation is crazy too. I want to find what tornado has the highest rpm. Cause some of them look real fast. I remember I saw a clip of a super narrow tornado shredding up a corn field spinning way fast. I know Reed Timmer was there too. But I don't remember which one it was.
@@13_cmi
It was the Ashby/Dalton tornado of 8th july 2020. An EF4 tornado that killed one person and destroyed three farmsteads and obliterated one house completely.
Hands down the best tornado footage on UA-cam. Never seen anything like this, truly amazing.
That wide angle view about 2’ in was stunning! A rarely seen view in storm chasing videos. Awesome job.
No matter how many tornado videos I see they never cease to amaze me!!!!! Incredible force of nature. I’ve also witnessed 4 in person. Just blows my mind! The aftermath of some though is absolutely devastating and heartbreaking for those lost and for all that ends up destroyed 🥴
I've rode out multiple hurricanes here in Florida, and (5) typhoons in other Countries I've lived in. I've watched my neighbors houses being dismantled by 140mph winds in hurricanes, and mass destruction in Phillipines/Japan from typhoons. But tornadoes make me nervous!! Good on you two!
Yep , just been through Odette , right in the middle of it , I've been in a major earthquake and in bushfires in Australia and floods , but I've never experienced the tornado , the centre of that is more intense .
Incredibly scary
Wow, you're here too? A childhood channel right here for me.
Possibly the most awe inspiring tornado video I have ever seen- and that's a lot of videos. Photographically and structurally astonishing capture. I've come back to watch your crews videos over the years and this time I had to stop and comment.
I'll tell you, the amazing shot of Tim Samaris and crew there at the end ("He's the boss.") makes me tear up.
Probably the most incredible tornado video I've ever seen. The way it scoured the surface of the road at 0:42 is amazing.
Check out Clem Shultz in the 2015 Rochelle-fairdale tornado as it slams into his house with winds over 200 mph and decimates the house to the foundation in less than 2 sec this video is my second favorite video with the awesome rotation and this one is also 200 + mph very violent tornado and another awesome video is the Kurt Lancaster video in Washington illinois Nov 2013 which was very violent
nah thats just OK and their road maintenance abilities.
Check out Reed Timmer's footage from over the years. But yes. This one is REALLY GOOD.
When a tornado could peel asphalt from roads you can imagine how much power that is 🤯
@@terranatrabu1784 | Definitely a high-end EF4 for sure... a multi-vortex EF4 stovepipe drillbit, at that, which is arguably even worse.
Wow. That’s unbelievable. The dude crying with concern the whole time is your safety net bro. He is your voice of reason. But goddamn, that was thrilling to watch!
Yeah his buddy is definitely going to keep him from dying. It's always good to have that physical voice of reason with on every chase!
This is incredible footage. I've almost never seen direct hits to objects on the ground, let alone to see the surviving objects re-emerge from the vortex.
The power of this tornado is just amazing. The violent motion is unlike any I’ve seen on UA-cam
"Sounded like a bitch there." Dude you should hear me sitting here in my room. "Oh My God!" This was terrifying.
I know, I didn’t think he sounded like a bitch at all. He sounded like someone I’d want with me in a situation like this.
That's insane! I felt like I needed to get out of the way can't imagine being that close.
Yeah. Seeing whole clouds move that quick is crazy. Especially up close.
you can really see how insanely violent the wind is when you get that close, its incredible and has always amazed me since I was a kid.
That view up the hill, right in front of them is probably my favorite video of a tornado, it's right there and you get a great view of the rotation and all the parts of the tornado. Thank you for great footage.
Monster props to all players in getting valuable storm data, footage, etc. that enables the science community to LEARN about these storms!
I was breathing very hard watching this. Absolutely outrageous and beautiful footage. Thank you for the ride!
Absolutely incredible. Thank you to whoever got this footage.
You Welcome✊😁
Best tornado footage I’ve ever seen. Watching the funnel right above the ground, you see how violent that one was. Great job who ever made this video
Camera angles these days made me feel like I was there. it's amazing
When he saw Tim stop in front of him it was because he saw the tornado coming in front of HIM. This guy goes in reverse right into the tornados path! Tim must of been saying that guy is a baller! If this was a F5 these guys would of been toast but with incredible data!
Tim Marshall recorded wind speeds over 200mph from that tornado so it was likely capable of doing EF5 level damage, though it "only" left EF3 damage indicators.
@@sabishiihito that's the issue I've always had with the scale. Same thing with the El Reno tornado. It clearly was EF5 but "only" left EF3 damage indicators.
Scott these are some of the most insane pieces of footage I have ever seen mate. Thank you for postings, keep an eye on Old Scott!!!
Hey Scott. I can never forget the video of the Joplin tornado, that you and your buds shot when it just spun up and crossed the road, what incredible footage of that devastating tornado as it was born. 14 seconds, it took to turn from a dust Devil to a wedge. Cheers
You guys are killing it with the footage and photos🤯
Nice shots man! That tornado looks amazing and scary at the same time. 🌪
All of you filming there have balls of steel. Thanks for the amazing footage. I don't know how you're able to stay that calm. Great stuff fellas
Thanks for your service. Brilliant footage.
absolutely stunning suction vortices in this monster! Excellent capture!
Wow. I thought this was in fast forward then I realized it was in real time!! Goes to show how powerful these things really are.
They were forwarding some sections. Just keep track of traffic and peripheral objects in the foreground. I think they should mark the video when the forward it.
Uhh no. It was fast forwarded a few times in this video.
:14
Beyond impressive for your tracking foresight and dedication!!!!
Incredible footage! The guy filming really knew what he was doing.. . Amazing wide angle, you can really feel the scale of this thing.
Tim has issues….
Stay safe this coming season mate.
Tornadoes have already claimed a famous Tim. They don’t need to take more.
There won't be a sesoN
Good Ol Tim last seen at 3000 feet getting good data....😆🌀🌪️
Great chase & superb quality videography! 👍👍 The more distant shot of the tornado, before it transitioned into a wedge & was coloured by the soil/debris, was absolutely stunning!
Top 3 tornado footage for me on this one, Scott. Subbed.
To see one this close is heart-stopping, because there's a voice in your gut that's telling you the whole time that nothing that big should be moving like that.
Amazing on the edge of seat watching that footage, you guys have a bigger set than me, be careful out there and thanks for sharing those amazing shots.
It has been almost 6 years since this series of tornado's. The footage of it amazes me just as much now as it did then. 🤯
Probably hands down best video footage I’ve personally ever seen
This is best footage I have ever seen! You guys are brave and crazy at the same time.

Incredibly terrifying video ....really appreciate you guys putting yourselves out there to get these amazing moments....one of the best videos I've seen..thank you and stay safe !
Hey Scott, I love the way that you film the tornadoes, you seem to always get them at the right times and angles. Especially when you filmed the birth of the 2011 Joplin tornado as it crossed the road as a little dust storm, then instantly turned into a super-wedge, that was awesome footage, one of my favorite tornado videos of all time. 👍👍👍🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Do you have a link to that video by chance?
Damn!!!!! Great video! I have never seen a tornado with my own eyes in 50 years of being on this planet
This is some absolutely fantastic footage! Incredibly well shot, my friend. Really appreciate you sharing these clips with us, Scott. Keep up the impeccable chasing (while staying safe, of course). All of that being said, it sounds like your buddy may need a change of pants.

Tornado: *does just that* make me tough guy.
Bring from Boston MA we don't get tornadoes, many a snow storm, high tides, hurricanes nothing like this, fascinates me tho painful to see aftermath destruction 🙏🏻
Once sitting on Boston beach a tiny whirlwind came off the water crossed the sand i was so cool as little as it was thanx for all videos u post👏🏻🌪
You must have missed the two in Springfield and the most recent that ended up in revere lol.
You folks have nerves of Steel! Thank You
Wow. Where has this video been? One of the best tornado chasers I've ever seen.
A little closer than I would choose to be, interesting watching the poles blow down you were passing them...tough being a tree or livestock in a pasture and not being able to flee.
Don’t ride along with Scott, folks. He’ll take you right into the pickup zone because he knows best.
One of the best tornado 🌪️ captures ive ever seen.
Incredible footage! I understand how destructive it is but my God that's a beautiful tornado! 🌪
The first tornado is incredible. But also don't underestimated the second one although only rated as an EF-3 it had winds of well over 200 mph from doppler radar
Popping in to say that a tornado's EF ranking is based in part off the damage it caused.

Amazing footage, we don't get Tornado's in the UK so great to see this footage!
The shots upward of the black, swirling clouds (1:40) remind me of a UFO coming to earth movie (can't remember which in particular). I kept waiting for the mother ship to come down! Great footage, but be safe guys!
We absolutely do my friend. In terms of tornadoes per square mile the number 1 spot is the Netherlands... Then us in the UK. 👍
I've seen the result of one cutting through some woodland about 10 years back and in 2020 in the storm at the end of that really damn hot spell one nearly hit the ground in my village. 👍
Although, the tornadoes we typically get aren't quite as impressive as across the pond.
We had a mini tornado in county Kerry in Ireland a few days which is unusual for us . Even though it was only a mini tornado it did flip one or two car's over and damaged roof's on house's.
Wow this is some of the best tornado footage I have seen .
Now if only we were able to capture quality sound.
You fella's have got some big granite gonads... Way close!!
I must say, that is by far the best footage of a tornado, that I have ever seen. Great work! 👏👏
Wow you have balls of Steel Scott!!!only came across you channel yesterday and I'm hooked, would love to see a tornado in teal life but totally respect the power and danger of them🌪🌪🌪🌪I just wondered??it must be hard to determine the speed of a tornado when its coming towards you??keep up the great work Scott, but more importantly keep safe brother👊👊👊🙏🙏🙏
Easily some of the best footage out there. You were watching that Tim guy close to the tornado as you were backing, and then *another* car appears out of the middle of the tornado, just casually driving through it. Crazy
Yeah, some people are oblivious to their surroundings. Make note of those vapor streamers along the ground. You see those you are in a low pressure zone, if they curve slightly, you are next to or right at the edge of a tornado. Closest I ever came was arcing vapor streamers on the back yard of my house, the tornado passed right over head without touching down but was far enough down to lower the pressure and cause arcing vapor trails along the grass.
Reed Timmer, the man? The Legend? I love keeping up with him! This is awesome footage, thank you!
Thats Tim samuras, this is an old video released much later, he and his team died in 2013

Some the best tornado footage I’ve seen.
Amazing footage. Yes, scary, humbling, are just a few words to describe what will grip you with awe and wonder. I always thought it is like mother nature slapping one in the face while it ignores the one next to the one being struck. Just don't get in her way she will toss you around like a rag doll. Living in Oklahoma, I always feel dread when the threat looms nearby. But I sincerely fear for those who live in areas of this country that do not normally experience these events. I have witnessed them in the past, cried over the devastation left in its wake, and prayed for those who just don't know what to do. Being struck in the middle of the night without a warning system is horrible. We grew up watching the weather, knowing what to look for and how to prepare. Even what to do if you are caught out traveling. Even still, I have experienced being woke up forced out of my bed in the middle of a cold February night by one of these monsters. That was over forty years ago, and I never forgot it, it was that close. You guys are so brave. Do you know what scares me most? We seem to be overdue around here. I have been watching these storms move north and eastward. Mother nature is so unpredictable, isn't it?
Dude that F-150 got hurled through the air like I used to throw my hot wheels
Nature is so beautiful and devastating. This is most incredible footage I have ever seen.

Where is Sunshine Rd.?
I always pray for you guys! And wow watching those power poles go down like melted butter! Glad you are and we're ok and Tim, too!
I admire the people like Tim, who do this to deploy sensors, to help understand and predict what is going on, to help get data so fewer people die and fewer towns are wrecked.
People who drive their friends into the suckiest side of tornadoes so they can get pictures to upload … not so much.

0:44 I know you were focused on the tornado, but did it occur to either of you there might have been someone inside that wrecked car?!
If there was...it wouldn't matter...like people crying at firefighters when a house is fully engulfed and someone is inside. It's too late.
There was nothing left of the car but a frame and axles. There was no inside.
@@mywhorled insane power it has. I am guessing these 2 guys help more victims then the entire comment section has ever had opportunity to help. It's the whole point. Vids on UA-cam might pay for a tank of gas on a 9 tank week.
@@tf7274 OK just curious. Thanks.
Great video!! Hopefully those who were in it's path of destruction were helped quickly! The rest of my comment is based purely on the footage presented in this video. That being said, if Tim had been in an interceptor-type of vehicle (armored, deployable jacks, low drag, etc.) I'd understand hanging that close to a tornado to collect data/footage. However, he was not. Considering that minutes earlier it threw a full-sized F150 pickup like it was a rag doll, that looked DANGEROUSLY close, especially for a violent EF4. Stay safe guys, and remember that no footage/data is worth the loss of human life.
@IAmTheKurgan unfortunately the "Tim" in that video DID in fact pay that ultimate price. Look up Twistex if you're not familiar. Very sad.
@@jasondeloach4608 the Tim in this video is not Tim Samaras from TWISTEX. Tim Samaras was killed in the 2013 El Reno tornado along with his son Paul Samaras and researcher Carl Young. The Katie-Wynnewood tornadoes didn't occur until 3 years after El Reno.
