    I love love love chia. I always mix it with almond milk, let it soak overnight and then top it with fruit. It's really delicious and VERY (!) satisfying for low volume and calories. I'm impressed over abd over again every time I eat it. (Before someone complains about the calories, YES they are quote calorie dense plain but if you mix 30 grams of chia with 170 mls of almond milk (that's what I do) you have 180 cals. Top it with a sliced apple and you have a whole meal (it is REALLY satisfying, I swear) for about 250 cals which is really low.) It's really a magical food.

    I add a couple scoops of these to my oatmeal. It makes the oatmeal so much more bulky, and then I can eat more! Yum. Hardly alters the taste at all, if anything, it improves the taste. Next I am going to try these in a meatloaf, maybe some meatballs as well. I just love chia seeds. If you look closely at one that has expanded in water, it really has some beautiful designs on it. They're just great, if you haven't tried chia seeds, you should!

    2 Cups and water and 1/3rd cup of chia seeds. Stir every 3 minutes for 15 minutes... very nice gel looking.
    Leave over-night in the fridgerator.
    Add 2 tablespoons of chia seed gel to (2 CUPS) of water so you have enough fluid in your stomach when you swallow the drink.

      idk but maybe you can stir it when its getting ready

    • @luci543
      @luci543 8 років тому +1

      I'm not sure how long you leave it to sit and go pudding-like but if you stir it every so often at the start then the bit that usually goes hard probably won't.

    • @jellyrollme

      Yes, they need to be expanded in liquid first, if you do not they can be hard to swallow..

  • @RIXRADvidz

    let that glass of liquid and seeds sit overnight and you will have a solid block of chia-gel. that can be sliced and breaded and fried..can't be too healthy.

    • @jellyrollme

      As much as I love chia seeds, the jury is still out about the validity of reducing hunger for length of time to be affective. This is because of how our digestive systems works. Also there is no evidence that chia helps with weight loss.
