      @@LillieKanethat intro was exactly how I felt doing a naturopathic bachelor (before keto & carnivore were a thing) and raising my first child. It was also very isolating for us at the time (20 years ago) however I know ketosis works I lost 25kg on it & it reduced my inflammation immensely. However I love carnivore more & know it's the proper human diet. Except I've finally worked out that I'm that small percentage that has histamine intolerance & haven't been thriving. So now deep diving & focusing on low histamine carnivore 🤣 what a ride life is. Might be worth covering for the carnivore that's still not thriving Lillie?

    struggled with nutritional confusion, feeling lost in the sea of dietary advice online. The video's focus on understanding basic nutrition, especially the use of Chronometer, brought clarity to my journey. Logging meals, learning about macronutrients, and gender-specific nutritional needs became crucial aspects. Aspect Health subtly resonated, reminding me of the importance of balanced choices. The speaker's emphasis on awareness over perfection shifted my perspective, making informed decisions feel achievable. Grateful for demystifying the complexities of nutrition and promoting a sensible, individualized approach.

    It will help if you understand this:
    1. Your body cannot burn fat until any alchohol or glucose (sugars, starches) you consume is burned or stored.
    2. Your liver makes all the glucose you need. You literally do not to eat any. In fact, any you eat is "extra" and must be srored or burned as a priority (see item 1).
    3. Fructose is not useable by the body for anything and is turned into fat and stored in the liver just like alchohol. Non alchoholic fatty liver disease anyone?
    Now you tell me what you should eat.

    After giving birth to four children from 2009-2014, I was desperate to get back to myself. I’m an all or nothing person, so saying no to certain foods was easier because I was at the end of my rope. Paleo changed my life. No supplements except for l-lysine for lip cold sores- prevents them!

      I totally concur. My solution was/is..if I had a serious issue to fix, I'd do strict. Maybe even Lion. But since I'm trying to mainly lose weight, I'll do 'animal based (chicken, fish, bacon, meats, butter, cream etc.) as much as possible (struggling to get enough protein). If other issues fall by the wayside, sweet. And later, whenever that might be for me, I might try an apple. (I'm a newbie, only 2 months in, lost 12~!) I did switch to 2/3 decaf to see if it would end my dandruff. It did go away... These guys have been at it for years. They've resolved their issues, or most, and have turned a few pages.

    In the middle of August, we had his vitamin d checked, and it was very low. Even when you spend all day in the sun, you still may be deficient in vitamin d because you have to be able to catch the sun on certain parts of your body at the right times. Is what the Dr. Said. I wasn't even going to have his Vitamin D check because he's out in the sun 8 hours a day,. I figured he'd be okay. It was interesting to see

    It would be amazing if you could report from time to time your athletic performance marks and also your organ function biomarkers. It would also be very interesting to see your results of biological clocks and speed of aging. There are a lot of "experts" out there, but they do not report their internal marks. Again, being as honest as you are, it would be amazing for us (your audience) to also see your internal marks and performance marks. And this request is not for judging you, on the contrary, it is for observing closer your evolution. We already trust you so much, and those marks would be very helpful for us. Awesome video!!! I started with Cronometer based on your recommendation, and I love it EXCEPT it's fatphobic and totally exaggerated in recommended carbs, and as someone on keto, I won't be paying attention to the red color of my fat intake and or the lack of carbs. But ignoring the recommendations of those two amounts, it was awesome and except for being a bit low on Vitamin D considering that it's winter and I'm not out in the sun, I am getting a nutrient rich diet in all areas. No wonder I feel so great, so much better that I have ever felt in my life, before starting keto. Thanks so much for this Lillie. Such sound advise! simple, to the point and relevant - I track my food and the best thing about tracking is how mindful one becomes of food, how in the past I have under estimated calories or mindlessly sat feeding my face on biscuits or chocolate - its ok to have a treat but but if the calories are WAY OVER for the day or just rubbish quality food, that treat just adds insult to injury and if it happens everyday before you know it you have put on a shed load of weight and there is no quick fix to losing weight - track your food, become informed ( not obsessed) and then eating is made simple, enjoyable and you know what works to lose or maintain your weight it's no longer a diet, no more feeling deprived - its a lifestyle ! x

    Daily tracking of exercise and body weight takes nearly no time or effort and is easy and fun, so I've done this for 20 years or so.
    I'm strong, fast, clear thinking, and regularly play sports and make music with children and much younger adults. I've been well served by balanced activity, rest, and nutrition going on 70 years.

    Hi, Lillie. The "Burned" number on chronometer is an estimated number of total energy expenditure based on your Basal Metabolic Rate + your speculated average activity level (The one you picked when creating the account or while setting up your goal, ie "Moderately Active") & any additional imported physical activity from external sources such as your iPhone or Apple Watch if you have configured the app to do so. This number is usually pretty accurate if you have configured the parameters correctly. Mine says 3200, and I have it configured for 0.5lbs/week loss while on a cut. I log my physical activity on my iPhone and eat the caloric difference up to the deficit. ex 3200 calories - 300 cardio = net 2900.

    Omg I’m so glad someone said this I am so confused if I didn’t have hyperthyroidism and no gallstone, I would eat whatever I want and not pay attention to all these different opinions on UA-cam. I can say I’ve started eating mostly meat, bacon and eggs. I do feel better, but I’m still confused. How can so many doctors have such different opinions, confused

    My goal is strength..If I stop using the chronometer app I start lying to myself about my mscros. Only by tracking can I get honest again. Your utube on explaining how protein and fat macros must be balanced to reach targets changed my life. You are the only truly knowledgeable one online! thank you so much..

    May I ask what blood type you are?
    I don’t currently subscribe to a blood type diet but I’m trying to figure out why I have such a hard time digesting red meat on the carnivore diet. I have extremely low stomach acid and have issues with constipation. I’m AB and weirdly when I did a food allergy test, the foods that were coming up inflammatory for me are at the top of the “no” list for ABs. I’m SO glad the diet works for most people. If anyone else is carnivore and AB (the rarest type🙄) I appreciate any info! Thanks!

    • @CDNHoneybee
      @CDNHoneybee 7 місяців тому +2

      I’m also AB. But I find that eating for your blood type is inaccurate. I do best eradicating carbs and sugar. But, I do best on carnivore and healthy veggies/fruits and spinach smoothies combined. I’m not 💯 carnivore. I’m more keto-vore. So luckily I do best with healthy meats and the foods I mentioned above. But that’s just me lol

      It's probably low acid. Happens as we age. You can try hydrochloric acid tabs or apple cider vinegar in water before dinner.

    • @tootstoyou1
      @tootstoyou1 2 місяці тому

      It’s claimed by “Eat 4your Bood type” diet that O blood type does best on on carnivore and A or AB should be mainly vegetarian with some chicken or fish. I’m an AB+ and do better with a little carbs. (Salad food, grated carrot, cruciferous veg, and some berries). I also take 2 or 3 hydrochloric/Betaine caps with a meat heavy meal. And all of my meals are meat heavy - lol. In comments I’ve asked many times the podcast influencers and their guests to reveal their blood types and never received an answer. Kinda frustrating so thanks for your comments here. I think we’re all different/unique and the blood types are part of that. I used to be a vegetarian for many years. Not super strict but it was my preference. Definitely not any more! I’m a senior F and I want/need my ANIMAL PROTEIN .
