I watched ‘You are what you eat’ and ‘What the Health’ on Netflix. Incredible that doctors and scientists are still blaming heart disease and diabetes and obesity on red meat and saturated fats. They say sugar is not the problem.
Several people said they felt better after eliminating red meat and eating plant foods. But they probably felt better because they stopped eating processed food and junk foods and ate real foods.
Also I saw a debate at Oxford Uni with omnivores vs vegans. One vegan said in India the poor people eat crops they grow themselves. The rich people eat red meat. And it’s the rich who have heart disease not the poor. But the rich are probably also eating a high sugar diet with seed oils. A deadly combination.

      @Puglover130 7 місяців тому +4

      Absolutely!
They are using a fallacious analogy. Esp that nee Netflix doc which was basically an ad for Beyond Beef 🙄
They Compared plant based vs “omnivore” diet with god knows what and likely way too many carbs and not enough protein and fat, but it’s impossible to know bc they were so SHaDY they didn’t even show or explain what the omnivores were eating!
And re the India rich people, they are 💯 not carnivore nor keto. They probably eat close to the SAD. We already know that saturated fat is problematic IF you also invest excessive carbs. Sat fat by itself is not a problem, it’s clear as day.
People need to wake the F up. IMO Big Ag is starting to panic because of the tide turning to carnivore / ketovore / PSMF and there are SO many testimonials of not just weight loss but people reversing disease, diabetes gone, cancer gone etc. It’s no longer a “fad”. We are at the precipice- very close to the point of no return, where people are going to wake up and give it a chance. And the carnivores feel so amazing no one is stopping carnivore , they’re only stopping veganism and the SAD.

Now, I try to eat them everyday, and so does she! She had such amazing results that she told a friend who had a few health issues and she is doing great! 9th day into carnivore and lost 8 pounds already. I used to drink 2 liters of Coca Cola a day and completely stopped sodas. I was going to do ribeyes for 90 days but it became too cumbersome and I just couldn’t eat ribeyes anymore. I needed a break and variety. I made scallops and shrimp with bacon strips. So delicious. I also will also add ground beef and sardines and liver. Made an egg omelette with cheese and bacon and even incorporated ribeye pieces and it tasted delicious. I also didn’t have bowel movement for 8 days but I wasn’t worried as it was explained your body is absorbing nutrients from meat. But after I added cheese yesterday. Bam! Tonight will pork chops. Yum.

I can't afford the ribeye every day for two people, (but I'd still like them).
Scallops seem crazy expensive here, so those are out.
And I do love shrimp too, but after learning about what is fed to shrimp at shrimp "farms" (imported shrimp), it is disgusting and definitely a big no.

@@pat4005 Yes I couldn’t get dry scallops. Had to get the wet ones that were soaked in whatever chemicals. Scallops are mad expensive. Definitely over my budget. But I was really craving them and needed a meal I could enjoy so I wouldn’t fall off carnivore because I was under eating from loss of appetite from the ribeyes. I love shrimp but that was a one time thing as well. I will get back to beef and ribeye. I can enjoy egg omelette with adding bacon and cheese. I made pork chops using grated pork rinds as breading but I didn’t really enjoy as I over salted the porkchops since the pork rinds were already salted. I was trying to be perfect and eating ribeye everyday but now I will focus on being consistent. The heck with perfect. Goal is carnivore for 90 days however which way it may come.

      It doesn't feel "restrictive".
There are many carnivore foods to choose from, and then there is seasoning and different ways to cook it all if you feel cornered.
Food is for staying alive and optimizing your nutrition is the way to go.
As our food choices creep more towards entertaining the palate, they become less and less optimal.
So when you are eating, and not eating something that adds to your health, you are eating something that subtracts from it.

I add a couple of tablespoons of the juice from raw organic sauerkraut (Simple Truth Organic brand or Wildbrine brand) so that it lasts much longer in the fridge like other store bought mayo, leave on the counter for 6-10 hours with the lid on to allow for fermentation. Hey Lillie. Thank you for all your helpful videos! I was sceptical and somewhat scared to try carnivore as I read of colon cancer and heart attacks and strokes and etc that carnivore is being accused of. Anyhow, I have the same risks in my current unhealthy diet. I have tried many other diets. Low GL, Low GI, fasting, Keto with veggies. I did loose some weight and picked it up again so I gave up and just ate what I wanted how I wanted and when I wanted. It caused me to pick up 12 kilos in the past year. I started today (22/01/2024) to do this 18lbs meal plan of yours. I am weighing 82.4kilos this morning. I am hopeful that it will work for me. I am exercising but I have no strength. My muscles became weak. If this fails, I might take up coaching with you to see where I am going wrong. I like the way you explain things.

Awesome video! Especially enjoyed the little jab at those who have "changed their minds" on several specifics regarding nutrition over the last couple years. Based on some of your earlier videos, along with a few other notable content creators, I started Carnivore back in October for 30 days. I saw really good results but just could not overcome the fear of causing issues with my heart. My father and most males on that side of my family have all passed away from heart attacks before age 45, my father died at 41. I am currently 52 and feel I am pushing my luck simply because I lift weights and was competitively active until age 45 so I switched to a more whole foods approach. I am really enjoying the muscle gains I am getting in the gym but my energy is still on the low side and I can't get rid of the extra visceral fat around my stomach area. So I will keep experimenting till I find the right combination for me but thank you for being a real one in a world of not so real ones and some down right fakes. For some of us, this is a matter of life and death and can't afford to "change our minds" and get it wrong for extended periods of time.

The current “word” is that sprinting or HIIT that makes you breathless, help get rid of visceral fats. Dexascans have identified me as having 8+ lb of visceral fat. I was always eating too much sugar. I’ve been on a modified carnivore (raw dairy and prunes, for the most part) way of eating for 6-7 weeks, and that should help. If I could only remember the name of the doctor who prescribes sprinting; I think-ah, Dr Sean O’Mara! Also recommends saunas. I have bp issues so I’m afraid to use the sauna, and I’ll have to do more walking and work up to sprinting over time (I’m 73). Good luck losing your visceral fat!

We struggled about a week or two, but found the foods that sneeked in that is not good for us, so we are back to focussing. I must admid I enjoy 1 apple a day and my husband snack on Dill Gurkins. We completely agree, keep it simple. Also thanks for the sardine/tuna tip, I threw out mayo, and since then I find it hard to eat tuna, will definetely try with butter or maybe a little cream cheese.

I Have lost over 20 lbs, my adult acne decreased, I’m so much less bloated and have less pain in my joints! Have you ever tried homemade lacto-fermented organic vegetables? It gives your gut more probiotics and the good bacteria help predigest them to decrease bloating and antiutrients !! I make fermented hot sauce to go on my eggs, I make fermented sauerkraut, beet kvass, and fermented carrots! My kids Love those! I know I see a lot of hypercarnivore influencers talk about not eating veggies, but I never hear them mention trying organic fermented ones!

Hexane a petrochemical is used to extract oil from plants. On top of the processing.
Grains, seeds, nuts, rice, legumes all naturally contain phytic acid which block absorption of nutrients, soaking at least overnight mimicking old time harvesting where they were left out overnight and began sprouting, or fermentation recommended. Vegetables and fruit are hybridized to be edible, bigger, sweeter. Corn is a grass that now has cobs for example.

I find the sardines in olive oil are much more eatable than the ones in water. Grass fed beef is great and easy to get in Florida. However, if there is only regular ground beef that is available, buy that. Beef and sardines are better than any processed food or carb based foods. At the moment, I get carbs from milk at night with protein powder (only 2 carbs per serving in the protein powder, sweetened with Stevia, 100% grass fed cow isolate whey), 2 oz of Parish Rice (white rice with higher protein count developed here in Louisiana) with my post workout meal. Once in awhile, I'll eat asparagus, broccoli, or brussel sprouts instead of the rice, and sometimes no carbs at all.

I gotta say though, A. Miracle Whip is NOT mayo. I grew up on that stuff too and I was secretly a little mad at my mom when I tasted mayo for the first time for making us eat miracle whip. B. I have tried all (or both brands) of that avocado oil mayo and I just can’t get past the gnarly taste! And I’m not the only one, I’ve seen the comments on it. I just buy the most organic clean mayo I can, if I make it, I don’t go through it fast enough. Most recipes can be substituted with blended cottage cheese anyway. Totally with you on the seed oils and the grains.
