I was in the 9th grade in 1978, and I got snide remarks from white students and Black's for being a black youth who liked and listened to BOSTON .My middle brother got their first album . I bought the Don't look back album and Pieces of Eight album by STYX with money from my summer job that year. The point is that I never listened to idiots and I'm a professional musician now, and I still listen to these bands. I'm nice, but Im stubborn, and I like what I like . To see the hosts here digging that Boston song 🎵 for me is CONFIRMATION. HALLELUJAH !!
I was high school summer DJ. Played all genres. Love all kinds of it’s good. I grew up when all kinds of music was played on the radio. Pop, singer songwriter, rock, metal, country, funk and r and b. It’s all good. Well no, most of its crap, but I find good in all the genres. Hahaha. Fuck what other people think ❤
I was born in 99 and in 2005 my dad was playing boston and what I heard literally changed the course of my life. Started playing guitar cuz of this song and now I'm actually playing professionally. Tom Scholz is my idol
Been a Boston fan since I was 10 years old, just turned 57. This was the short version of the song that was cut due to it being a promo. Check the audio version, it is longer and sounds better than the video you saw. After all these years I still hear different harmonies and melodies to these songs from Boston. And they sound great live, seen them about 10 times and they never miss a beat. Thank you for the reactions.
"When I see what I am is holding me down.... I turn it around." Great stuff! I have a special relationship to this song. I was several months after graduating college, living in New Jersey, working for my father. I had always worked for my father and figured I would eventually take over the family business. This put a real strain on my relationship with my father, and I was pretty unhappy. My then-girlfriend (later to become my first wife, then my ex wife) had a connection to get a job in Boston. So we drove to Boston one weekend for her to interview for the job. I fell in love with the city. She got the job, and I was to find a job myself and meet her here. It was a huge deal for me to think of leaving the family business behind. At night, I would frequently play this song loudly (in headphones so as not to disturb my landlady) while building up the courage to tell my father I was leaving. Not only were the lyrics exactly what I needed, and not only was the band from Boston (the city I was headed for) but they bore the name of that city.. Years later, I'm 61 now, my first wife has long since moved away. I'm married a second time. My father's been gone for more than 20 years (and my mother for a year), though I made peace with him before he died. And I'm still living in and loving Boston (and loving the band Boston too!)
LOVE LOVE LOVE Boston!!!!!!!!!! My spouse had me make a promise to them, when he passed away,I was to play this song by his graveside, once everyone had left. His reasoning was he had lead his life to the best of his ability, there was no looking back,he loved, lost, had a career, and he felt that he had lived his best life, and he was not looking back.(fyi, this is my husbands account,as I don't have one myself...)Thanks for playing this song...Makes me think of Thomas when I hear it,and all the memories we've made together over the last 40 yrs together.
Make sure to react to Boston's studio version of each of their songs. Their live songs are often cut off and shortened. They have so many great hits. Boston's entire discography is packed full of feel good, rockin', inspirational songs.
You reacted to this amazing song on my husband's birthday. He passed away in 2018 and was a big Boston fan. Thank you so much for a great reaction as always ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing how music can catch you off guard and be inspiring and uplifting. Surprise you were caught off guard. This band will do it to you before you know it
One..listening to this band with headphones on is the best way to hear it. Two..I'm 57 and still get goosebumps. Three..on a spiritual level, this is one of the bands that taped me on the shoulder in the dark & said hey there's light out there. You have to listen to "To be a man". It's like you're having a conversation with Jesus. For me at least. Thxs for doing this. God bless & Light your path, for we all know it's a narrow one. 😊
Don't Look Back lyrics: Don't look back, ooh, a new day is breakin' It's been too long since I felt this way I don't mind, ooh, where I get taken The road is callin', today is the day I can see, it took so long just to realize I'm much too strong not to compromise Now I see what I am is holding me down I'll turn it around Oh, yes, I will I finally see the dawn arrivin' I see beyond the road I'm drivin' It's a bright horizon, ooh, and I'm awaken I see myself in a brand new way The sun is shinin', ooh, the clouds are breakin' 'Cause I can't lose now, there's no game to play I can tell there's no more time left to criticize I've seen what I could not recognize Everything in my life was leading me on But I can be strong Oh, yes I can I finally see the dawn arrivin' I see beyond the road I'm drivin' Ooh, far away, I'm left behind, left behind Oh, the sun is shining And I'm on that road Don't look back, ooh, a new day is breakin' It's been so long since I felt this way I don't mind, ooh, where I get taken The road is callin', today is the day I can see, it took so long just to realize I'm much too strong not to compromise Now I see what I am is holding me down I'll turn it around Oh, yes I will I finally see the dawn arrivin' I see beyond the road I'm drivin' I'm far away and left behind Don't look back Don't look back Don't look back Don't look back
I am 53 years old and I listen to a lot of different genres of music. This is one of my favorite songs of all time and that freaking guitar riff. Wow! I live in Florida, so whenever I’m driving back from the beach I’m always playing this song.
Oh my I saw the title and I was like " I don't think I know this song" but as soon as I heard the first note I was like "oh yeah I know this" lol I love it lol and you guys are so right. I miss feel good music like this. I feel like the music nowadays can be so negative or overly sexualized.
Empty nester. Disabled. Had to quit going finish up my masters degree in a new area. A lot I’ve been looking back at and it’s not healthy. Needed this. Bless you guys.
I love your spirit guys. You're very spiritual file. Right on. Sub'd! Thanks for doing these Boston tracks because they always had such a positive message and an epic style. Uplifting for sure. Glad you discovered them. Cheers!
This album/song came out in 1978.In 1995 I was in a dying relationship. I bought a house and moved out. The last time I left that appt on my car, left her standing there lookin stupid, this was the song that came on the radio. Felt like God was telling me I was doin what had to be done. All these years later, no regrets.
I want to thank y'all and the Lord. Y'all were talking about scripture saying not to look back or you'll turn to stone. Then when yall paused it when Boston went into the up beat and said don't look back, you said it was confirmation. Asa you said the word confirmation I felt that I need to look at the lyrics to this song. There's a message in this song
Please listen to cool the engines by Boston. I don't have any donations to give but I love watching ya'll and would love to see your reaction Love you both Thanks, Shawn Black Dallas, N.C.
This is my all time favorite Boston song. As with most “Official” song videos, they are lip syncing to the record here. All the crowd noise you hear was dubbed in which I think took a little away from the song, which they also took part of the song away making it shorter.
This official video version kinda sucks, we get to see the band, but the song is shortened and the audio quality is not the best. need the classic, vital, vintage and necessary studio version.
One of the greatest songs ever on my list, however this is the worst version of it to listen to, it's a chopped down version of the studio recording which wasn't done live in front of an audience, and much of the great parts of the song are missing. Try listening to the full length studio version with lyrics for a better experience. I never liked any songs done with an 'official video', somehow they lose something in the process

Boston is one of the most harmonious rock bands ever. I never get tired of that song, and you guys put an incredible energy into what you do.
One of the most inspirational songs ever written. ❤
Don't Look Back lyrics: Don't look back, ooh, a new day is breakin'
It's been too long since I felt this way
I don't mind, ooh, where I get taken
The road is callin', today is the day
I can see, it took so long just to realize
I'm much too strong not to compromise
Now I see what I am is holding me down
I'll turn it around
Oh, yes, I will
I finally see the dawn arrivin'
I see beyond the road I'm drivin'
It's a bright horizon, ooh, and I'm awaken
I see myself in a brand new way
The sun is shinin', ooh, the clouds are breakin'
'Cause I can't lose now, there's no game to play
I can tell there's no more time left to criticize
I've seen what I could not recognize
Everything in my life was leading me on
But I can be strong
Oh, yes I can
I finally see the dawn arrivin'
I see beyond the road I'm drivin'
Ooh, far away, I'm left behind, left behind
Oh, the sun is shining
And I'm on that road
Don't look back, ooh, a new day is breakin'
It's been so long since I felt this way
I don't mind, ooh, where I get taken
The road is callin', today is the day
I can see, it took so long just to realize
I'm much too strong not to compromise
Now I see what I am is holding me down
I'll turn it around
Oh, yes I will
I finally see the dawn arrivin'
I see beyond the road I'm drivin'
I'm far away and left behind
Don't look back
Don't look back
Don't look back
Don't look back
Boston was on fire in the 70's and the hottest group creating a new sound that everyone loved. Boston is awesome!
Thanks for giving God praise
The very first album I bought with my own money as a 13 year old in 1978, the music of my adolescence.
Takes me back to high school thank you very much☮️❤️🙏
Had the greatest pleasure seeing them with Eddie Money opening....about a year before he died
Great classic rock band. Love your hair Mel
They have beautiful and motivational music….And when you see and hear it played it kills it.
Just so you know , all those guys were attending MIT when they made this album. The drummers daughter is married to Dwayne Johnson (The Rock)
I am 53 years old and I listen to a lot of different genres of music. This is one of my favorite songs of all time and that freaking guitar riff. Wow! I live in Florida, so whenever I’m driving back from the beach I’m always playing this song.
Amanda is a must listen
I'm new to this channel but love, love, love watching y'all's reactions to music! Y'all are the best!!
I appreciate how you see, and hear this song, best ever!
Pure perfection! Boston brings it every time. Great reaction.
This is one of two Boston Songs I play at the beginning of my many road trips. The other being Foreplay/Long Time.
So wonderful when those synchronicities happen! Good journey :) Peace!
I saw them in concert. Tom Scholz is a grad from MIT and guitar is masterful! We lost Brad Delp too soon!😅
I saw Boston live when I was 16 yrs 🎉and visited the town of Boston once.,😊
I look back and remember all the good times 🌞
I have probably listened to this song over 1,000 times since 1977 !
Saw them when they first came out. They were a Perfect Band Live, very technical and tight Band!
Oh my I saw the title and I was like " I don't think I know this song" but as soon as I heard the first note I was like "oh yeah I know this" lol I love it lol and you guys are so right. I miss feel good music like this. I feel like the music nowadays can be so negative or overly sexualized.
Awesome song seen them in 1976 I think it was awesome concert,1st time coming to N.C Packed out concert
You guys are sooo inspirational..God Bless you two
Father always speaks through music. We just need to tune in...
Time constraints had the producers cut nearly a full minute from this song . Do only the studio versions. I love this song so much.
Some great memories...... thanks for sharing this!!!!
Today is the day To Turn It Around!!Amen
I listened to this at 5am this morning and I needed it badly
I knew you wasn't ready...but you got it!!! Love you guys!!!
only problem with this song...I CAN NEVER GET IT LOUD ENOUGH!! One of my life 's message songs
The music from back in the day constantly lifted me up. 👏👏
Empty nester. Disabled. Had to quit going finish up my masters degree in a new area. A lot I’ve been looking back at and it’s not healthy. Needed this. Bless you guys.
Inspirational, uplifting music
Don't ever feel sad for being percicuted for listening to what is good

This album/song came out in 1978.In 1995 I was in a dying relationship. I bought a house and moved out. Feel like Jesus is talking to me through you.
The drummer is the Rocks father in law.
Lift your soul and make no excuses, this is the real deal.Tony
This came out in the late 70s so your going to bump into it sooner or later
Hey kids. Check out Joan Jett’s cover of You Don’t Own Me.
I want to thank y'all and the Lord. Y'all were talking about scripture saying not to look back or you'll turn to stone. Boston. The pinnacle imo
Never look back!!
I love your energy
Upside-down guitars on the cover. Cool eh!!!!
I turned 19 in Boston in 1976 . Boston is in a category of their own. I don’t think there’s much religion in their song Smokin
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
🕊️🔥
That version cut a lot from the original version...but still, what an ANTHEM!!!!!
Do the audio only version too. it's longer and a lot more guitar work
Please listen to cool the engines by Boston. I don't have any donations to give but I love watching ya'll and would love to see your reaction Love you both Thanks, Shawn Black Dallas, N.C.
It's okay to look back to understand what God has done in your life?
Damn
This is my all time favorite Boston song. As with most “Official” song videos, they are lip syncing to the record here. All the crowd noise you hear was dubbed in which I think took a little away from the song, which they also took part of the song away making it shorter.
This official video version kinda sucks, we get to see the band, but the song is shortened and the audio quality is not the best. need the classic, vital, vintage and necessary studio version.
God can use anything to confirm His word speaking to you. He’s awesome that way.
She just divorced me, "Princeless" Diana total Narcissist
"Don't Look Back" Johnny Boy
"It's been too long since I felt this way"
Lots wife turned back and turned into a pillar of salt
They hardly toured . 10 times not possible
I have tunnel vision on rap sorry and if you don't want to listen old rock that's OK iwill keep what ilisten to idont like violent music
This isn't the whole song.
This video (not you guys) cut out a GREAT climatic outro ! 🤬🤦🏻♂️🤬🤷🏻♂️🤬🤦🏻♂️
One of the greatest songs ever on my list, however this is the worst version of it to listen to, it's a chopped down version of the studio recording which wasn't done live in front of an audience, and much of the great parts of the song are missing. Best feel good band on the planet
I truly Appreciate the Encouragement that you two are delivering… love and respect you guys
