R.I.P The Great Brad Delp!! One of the greatest voices in Rock!!!
R.I.P. Sib Hashian
AGREED!
And one of the greatest bands of all time!!! R. I. P. Brad Delp and Sib 'great fro' Hashian! 😢 You are sadly missed!
Probably one of the best debut albums of all time.
Bought this way back in '78 when it came out.
It wasn't their debut album, but it was a good un.
I saw them twice live in Charlotte N.C. For their 1st and 2nd tours. Damn good both times. 😎
This is from their 2nd album.
Their 1st album was just INCREDIBLE. This 2nd album was a long time in coming,,,,,,not as good,,,,but as close as it could get. 💥💥💥👍😎
The 2nd album came only two years after the first and, for me, it's very nearly as good as the first. Boston was all about quality, not quantity!
One of the best yet UNDERRATED rock songs of all time. Period.
Strange how they made a song, ' don't look back ," when that's exactly what we are doing with this song. Great reaction. Funniest couple on the tube. Be Blessed.
Great song and band. Boston has their own distinctive sound. Rock n Roll Band is great. They sound so great in concert
This is my number 1 crank it up song when it comes on in my Jeep. Sounds like the beginning of a road trip.
My favourite song at 10 years young. Thanks guys! ❤❤
The greatest song ever! RIP Brad Delp! Brad can hit the high notes smoothly! Great reaction!
Those harmonies you’re hearing are all Brad Delp, layered over himself.
Boston made music that just made you feel good listening to it
Great band
The construct of Boston songs was brad delp sang all the vocals. Tom Sholtz would play and record all of the instruments. With some minimal exceptions. Then Tom Sholtz would put it all together in his basement studio at his home. The band was for touring. Great reaction and Merry Christmas guys. 🌹👍🌲
Harmonies?! This was decades before pitch correction software! You had to physically nail the performance to an audio tape machine. They were inspirational to legions of rock fans world wide:)
All vocals on this song, lead, backing, and harmonies were ALL Brad Delp!!!
I loved rocking out to Boston in my car back in high school in the 80’s 👏👍😎
This is a perfect song for me right now as long as I've been listening to it I've never really looked at the words and listen to it! It's telling me about the dawning of the new Earth the Great Awakening this is amazing!!
Brad could hit high notes that would make hummingbirds jealous.
Brad Delp May he RIP one of the greatest voices in rock history
This is the title track to their second album. I'm not sure what other "Boston" songs you've reacted to, but "Peace of Mind" has a theme similar to this song. Another one of their songs I highly recommend is "A Man I'll Never Be", a power ballad also on their second album.
Such a great album...every song on it is pure gold.
I love how Asia get this big smile listening to 70's tunage. I was born 1959. I wasn't a hippie, I wasn't a freak or certainly not a jock I was called a head. It was a 70's thing.
You were from the "Dazed and Confused" generation! Not quite like the older Boomers, not quite Gen X.
@@jeffmorse645 All I remember is I was 16 years old in 1975. That says it all right there. Lol
An absolute great Boston song with great positive lyrics. One of my favorites. Also check out Rock & Roll Band and Peace of Mind.
Damn I can't imagine being in my 30s and hearing Boston for the first time!!!! Crazy!
Very inspiational song! It applies to today as much as any time 😊
This was off Boston's second album, which was not as good as their first, but they left themselves a tough act to follow due to their first album being an absolute masterpiece.
However, the second album was excellent.
Keep on smiling Miss Asia, you light up the screen.
Asia & BJ, you'll love their "Rock & Roll Band" and "Peace Of Mind"!!!!
Boston is Phenomenal! No band sounds like them, they literally made that guitar sound; Tom Shultz patented it!
You got to check out the band Rist Rocket. They released a very rare album in 78. On their own label Sun West Records. They were from California. They were heavily influenced by Boston. You can hear it. You can listen to the whole album on UA-cam.
I've always loved Boston ever since I was a teenager in the 70's , But I find myself appreciating them even more as a 60 year old ! They have a great sound ✌️
Boston is in my top 5 bands of all time! Brad Delp R.I.P. is one of the best rock vocalists ever! After this please react to A Man I'll Never Be, Feelin' Satisfied, The Launch/Cool The Engines! Thank you for reacting to one of my favorite bands!
You guys should react to “Just Between you and Me” by April Wine
That’s gonna be my wedding song one day. So beautiful
First band I ever saw Live, when I was in the Army in Germany which then set me on the Road. 🤟😎🎸💀✊
Lots of positivity from Boston and also groups like Styx. Great music to have grown up with. Boston has been one of my favorites for decades. Peace!
You really can't beat Boston's great vocal and guitar harmonies and the powerful voice of the late Brad Delp. As classic as classic gets. Great reaction, as always!
Takes me back to the days of going to the record store and buying vinyl.
One of those songs you’ll prolly never go outta your way to listen to, but when it pops up on the radio, the next 4 minutes is about to be lit
I grew up as a kid listening to Boston. Don't Look Back came out in 1978 when I was five years old. No one else can even compare to Boston. They were a once in a lifetime band.
I like the rock harmony of Boston. What a perfect example of the power of 80s Rock and Roll !
80s?? This song and album are from 1978. Their hugely popular debut is from 1976. Most of their famous songs are from this period.
This is the title track and first song on Boston's second album. Their debut album is one of the best selling of all time, so there were great expectations for this one. The song is about looking ahead and making the most of your time on Earth.
The distorted guitar sound was created by devices designed by group leader Tom Scholz - the liner notes boast there were no synthesizers used on the album. Scholz is a musical mad scientist with an engineering degree from MIT.
Boston's first album supplied radio stations with eight songs listeners loved, so there was a spot at the table for whatever came next. The lead single from their second album was "Don't Look Back," and it delivered. The song went to #4 in America and became one of the group's most popular songs. The album didn't kick out more Boston classics, but still sold seven million copies in America.
Tom Scholz kvetched a bit about the label releasing the album before it was ready, but that was because he thought it needed another song. The next Boston album, Third Stage, didn't appear until 1986. Its lead single was the group's only #1 hit: "Amanda."

Funny how as a 58 year old woman I’m now hearing this differently. I’ve loved this song since whenever the album came out. Don’t feel like doing the math. Haha. But it means something different now. I think it’s the part about compromise. I used to be very naive. Most people are good… ya get it. But life and God teaches you otherwise. The trick is being wise from finding out the truth but without being bitter or cynical. Thank you so much for sharing this and bringing back memories. And making me realize I am evolving 😎
A lot of Boston's songs were postive and encouraging. Really enjoy that band and at this chapter in my life I need to hear songs like that.
I'm here for anything Boston too. The memories this all bring back are happy and so many!
Genius! The building up in the middle and the solo make me chills.
Boston. Don't look back and Third Stage are 3 of my favourite albums
Ah, the Boston formula. You either love it (as I and millions of others do) or you don't.
For decades I’ve been telling my kids to play this song at my funeral. Hope they remember!
Seen them in concert back in 1978 this album was already charted!!
I absolutely ADORE Boston! Killer music and you hit it right on the head, guys. So positive and motivating not to be stuck in the past. There's nothing that can change it. Either get therapy to help you move through something or let it go and move forward.
Their Music gets in your blood living here.
I freaking love Boston! Great song and great reaction!!🤓🤠❤️
Boston was one of the greates bands in the history of music
You can't go wrong with Boston, they're so good. Their sound is amazing and can take you on an adventurous journey. I'll watch your latest movie reaction tomorrow after work, I was at church and then had choir practice. I missed it by two hours :( I'll try for your next drop on Tuesday. Ciao for meow yall.
If you don't feel his spirit, this music, you might need to go to the hospital! Because Boston puts blood in your soul, goose bumps galore! So positive!
Love Boston, good music!!! 🎵 🎶
Great message in the lyrics
Love the song and love Asia's smile even more
This was the debut song other second album, which was a long time in coming, so there is a lot of history about what this song actually means and when you understand that it gives it a lot more meaning….
There is so much Boston for you guys to experience. These songs were recorded by essentially Tom Scholz who wrote all the songs and played every instrument, except drums. Sometimes even those. He invented to technology to get the sound and never uses synthesizers or computers. Brad Delp is the singer on this early stuff and his voice is unparalleled. Put him with Steve Perry and Robert Plant. Do more please!! Do some of the Walk On album. Just ask me I'll tell you which ones first great reactions guys.
@Fullmoon - 👏1st comment that I've read that tries to explain how Boston TRULY started as a band. I hope Asia and BJ read your comment.
Thank you so much for sharing. This is one of my favorite songs by Boston. Love your Channel!!! 😊
Glad you enjoy it!
inspirational song... one of my very favs.
Boston didn't have a bad song...musical geniuses Great reaction and Merry Christmas 😎👍
This song was released when I was 18..I've never listened to the lyrics..just the sound.
Honored to be from that generation
my favorite Boston song !
I like there theme on the albums: Guitars shaped like spaceships !
Fun Fact - I played this song on the way to my wedding. I had a different life that I had to give up. So glad I did!
Honest music. A grace.
NO ONE HAS REACTED TO THIS ONE: Long John Baldry - "Don't Try To Lay No Boogie-Woogie On The King of Rock & Roll" (Rod Stewart and Elton John both started out playing with this man. He is credited with taking the Blues to London. The Beatles were known to go to his shows)
This is my favorite Boston song. Brad Delp had such an amazing voice. Great reaction. Merry Christmas to you both. I look forward to your videos every day❤❤❤❤
This is my favorite Boston song in the guitar solo I mean wow! This is the song that I always playing driving back from the beach.
If you haven't checked out their ballad hitch a ride from their first and phenomenal debut album, it's pretty amazing because it shows you how beautiful they can really be when they want to and yet for being a ballad by the time it really gets into it it totally rocks and it has some totally killer organ and guitar solos in it
Have you done "Feelin' Satisfied" ? Another great Boston song.
I want to start by saying that the look on Asia's face for the duration of that song was the best thing I've seen so far today. Second, this song has always had a special meaning to me. Growing up, I had always worked for my entrepreneur father starting as a janitor in his business as an adolescent, then on the family farm while in high school and partway through college and then in his business again after we moved off the farm and back to New Jersey. All my life, I had never given much thought to finding a job or imagining a career. I was going to take over the family farm (or business) eventually. Well, after college, I was working for my father in the family business in NJ, and was becoming restless and disillusioned... My relationship with my father was strained due to my feeling that he was controlling all aspects of my life. I was a young adult, I had a girlfriend (who later became my first wife) with whom I wanted to spend more time doing all those things that young couples fresh out of college want to do. Several months after graduating college, my girlfriend was made aware of a job opportunity in Boston working for a friend of her family's. So, we drove to Boston for a couple of weekends in the fall, and I fell in love with the city of Boston. She got the job and moved to Boston. In the meantime I had to approach my parents to tell them I was leaving the family business to move to Boston. Getting up the courage to do this was one of the hardest things I've had to do in my life. But I did, and my father seemed to be understanding of it. While I was working up the courage to do this, I used to play this song loudly at my apartment (in headphones so as not to aggravate my landlady who lived upstairs). The message of this song was so on-point for me and the fact that it was by a band not only from Boston, the place I was headed, but was named after the city.
Now, 39 years later, my father's been gone for 20 years, and blessedly, I was able to eventually develop a loving relationship with him before he died. The girlfriend became my wife, though that didn't last and she moved far away from Boston. I remain living here in Boston and still love the city.
Boston was one of my favorites. My uncle had their album and I would go into his bedroom when he was gone and listened to all the music he had. He is 10 years older and shaped a lot of my music interest. His daughter is a song writer in Nashville and her husband lead sings for a band touring that's starting to get big time. My uncle is now Mayor of Muscle Shoals Alabama where a lot of music historically has been recorded in their famous studios. Asia and BJ are some of my favorite people. I feel like I would be just like family with you guys. Love you guys ❤️
This came out around the time the original, and best, Battlestar Galactica came out. I always the this song, especially the middle solo part, would have been perfect for an epic space battle scene in the show. In my mind's eye I can still picture Vipers and Cylon Raiders flying through space while the main guns on Galactica and the base ships duke it out with their main batteries all while the guitars are wailing and drums are crashing.
Yes, cool! I actually asked for the complete season on DVD for Christmas this year! Buck Rogers was good too.
One of the greatest guitars riffs ever!
The guitar solo at 4:10 is so epic, PS Asia, you look so pretty in this video 😊
dont look back because you are not going that wayl.o.l to me ,that;s the best song of boston, great choice,(well the sun is shinning and i;m on that road,🎸) enjoy that one,🤘🤘🤘
You guys get it. ✌️❤️🎸
Bosstan has always been a great band
Seen BOSTON. Awesome Band👍🏽🎶💙
Love Boston, this songs rocks for sure
Another great cut from an epic album. Blistering harminizing guitars. You have to do "Peace of Mind" from the same album, if you haven't already.
I was going to suggest this one. Glad you did a reaction video for it. One of their best and a classic song.
A positive empowerment!
Don't Look Back wasn't as well-received as the seminal first album, but this song is quintessential Boston.
Their entire first album is "total feel good", greatest of all time.
Are used to love this song in junior high and I still love this song it’s inspirational. It makes you feel good. It’s a good jam to have when you’re driving in your car. Boston is the quintessential rock ‘n’ roll to have in your collection. I know the lead singer passed away rest his soul with this music will always live on. It always makes me want to play the air guitar wherever I am at. Lol. Love you guys keep on rockin.
I hope to say someday soon that this song was the turning point in my life! Very positive!
From that same (2nd) album please check out “Feelin Satisfied”. You’ll love it, I promise ❤️❤️
Asia and BJ, I love your reactions. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel. Boston was great band. B J, who dat! ☮🖤🤘
Season’s Greetings Asia and BJ, Catching up, just came out of The Hospital Back Pain issues, now I’m catching up 💙🎄🎅🏼❣️👍🏽
All time great song
Boston is one of my top three bands. As much as I love their first album, l tend to like this album better. I saw them in concert in October 1978 in Knoxville, Tn. I was a senior in high school then. This song is the title track of that album. This song should be heard along with The Journey and It's Easy since they all flow together on the album. The next song is the big epic song on the album. It is titled A Man I'll Never Be. This whole album is really good. Check these songs out!
You guys are a beautiful couple, love yalls music reactions 💕
Boston was huge don't look back they could be gaining on ya thx
Such a fricking good song!
Their sound is so "clean" and great story telling which brings up to mind another band similar to them is Triumph.
John farnham and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra reactions. You'll love it
Love that Rockwood guitar...
Great Band !
This band came in the 70s before all the hairbands. In the times of aoresmith, eagles, foghat,. Way ahead of there time. Inspired from there. Pop rock was radio music. Classic was in the hard rock stage.
