    Jane I am going to go back to all your painting videos again and label the ones I really like. I really like the 3rd one you did of the green tree and the rocks. I just love the colors and the tones you used. I just admire how you do that. Also, I just wanted to say something you touched on. I don't understand why so many people do "Do's and Don't in the artwork. I realize there should be some rules sure, however, I thought it was about YOU the artist, and what you want to express. So when you talked about your style and that's the way you wanted to do it, so you should. Your art is an expression of you and so you should do what you want. Who cares what the turned-up nose pompous asses say anyhow. :)))))

    • @PaintingwithJane
      @PaintingwithJane  3 роки тому +1

      Yes!!! It's all about expressing who you are! Rules are for doctors and scientists, lol.

    Love the comment "I'm wooed by the color purple" ; that's exactly how I feel about Opera Pink. It's a color that does not appear in nature, but I carry around that little tube everywhere I go just because it makes me so happy. I'm swatching some Lunar Black later today, and I'm really excited to see what happens with the OP. Love these paintings - cheers!

      Yes! Opera Pink is the same! Mmm... Lunar Black is the best. I'm using it today too 😊

    I know this is not mentioned in your watercolour. But did you mix your own greens. I enjoyed the colours mixing on the page as you paint. But your greens all seem different especially the dark green. Thank you for sharing your challenge of getting to 60. I enjoy the adventure you are taking us and I like walking through your tree paintings.

      Thank you, Guy! I tend to use and think of colors so differently with watercolor than I do with acrylic. With acrylic, I almost never use green paint from a tube, but with watercolor, I tend to buy and use a lot of premixed greens, lol. I think it really has something to do with the nature of watercolor. The way the colors separate and granulate. Each one is different, so I buy a lot of green because then tend to have really interesting effects when dry :)

    All of them, stunning :) 💜
    I have stopped painting the same painting a second time, it never has the same feel or look to it, I dunno, if I´m proud and pleased with a painting, it seems impossible to create it a second time...there´s just something special with the first one, hard to explain...

I understand now from him what you are doing to your painting, I'm speaking for those beginner's who didn't know I was once their myself before.

    I respectfully request that you discribe more of your techniques for each demonstration than, your feelings, thoughts and wants for your personal goals. That being said, I truly appreciate you sharing your paintings. I love your style 😍

      Hi Madeline, just wanted to share with you that in the beginning of this adventure with Jane, she had stated that she will do tutorials after she hits her goal. It is something for all of us to look forward to as we follow her through this. :) I cannot wait!! Jane is such a doll and I have been following her for years. So, keep checking back for future tutorials with her on this. She will not disappoint. :)

    Jane, You made a comment in one of the videos about selling these studies. Have you given this any more thought?

    • @PaintingwithJane
      @PaintingwithJane  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, Mel! Yes, I absolutely will! I'm framing them as quickly as I finish them. Next I have to photograph all of them and get them on my website. I really bit off a lot with this challenge and things are taking me longer to do than I'd anticipated (story of my life, ha!). I think I'm getting close, I just need a day where I can sit down and just focus on that. Shouldn't be too much longer!! Thank you

    • @ElizabethKilbride
      @ElizabethKilbride 3 роки тому

      @@PaintingwithJane Plan out your day better with the matting you plan to use for each painting, then buy those mats in various colors have them on hand to use to frame your artwork. That's what I do. I bought like 50 mats when they were on sale and just matted the artwork once I was done and they were completely dried, then staged them for pictures and posted up the pictures in one day. Make sure you buy envelopes for shipping the same day as you buy the mats. That way if someone buys a painting, you can ship it out the next day. Good luck and get organized sistah. Hugs

    It's not your painting, your painting is excellent and beautiful. Your not explaining what you are doing to your painting so that beginners can learn and follow.
