Congrats Michael, I am a self taught private chef also and grew my business to around the same revenue as well. There is a freedom that we have which cannot be valued, and I agree - meeting all of the interesting people we cook for is a fun bonus!
There’s nothing like doing what you love
I'm sorry you lost you're job, But im glad you are now able to do what you love & make great $$ doing so. This is the perfect example of finding happiness in what you do everyday. I want to give him a hug & say well done.
Adapt to your situation and rise to the occasion, in a nutshell
Some people are just born innately with talent and combine it with passion, you will get a success story. He is an inspiration for those who did not have any cooking lessons.
This episode shows that it’s good to cultivate interests and hobbies on the side that are not only enjoyable, but have the potential to be lucrative. I’m glad things have turned out so well for him. Goes to show that sometimes we have to be more flexible in our thinking, as opportunities could be within our reach, but we just don’t know it as yet.
Wow, I can tell that you hardly cook, never been a chef, never taken any formal training, but come right out to compete with michelan chefs, tv shows, online recipes, home delivery, ... all I can say is that you have guts, man. Good for you.
Love it!
I would love a private chef too
Good for u Michael!
Invest with Mr.Carson Tyron and thanks me later 🥰🥰

What an incredibly inspiring story. You go, Chef Oh!
He’s living the 2021 dream lol. Good for you man! Be blessed - don’t forget to pay it forward :)
Turned his passion into a profitable side hustle!
It’s one those stories that are truly motivating. The guy was hit and made most of it. Seems like a wonderful guy and honestly I can see why people would book him for private events
Private chef... Dope
Nothing but respect, not letting the pandemic stop him. The millionnaire mindset brilliant 👏

Owning your business is worth the effort. I am currently an account officer and studying Financial Information System at 28 looking forward to starting my own delivery service business. I strongly believe having control of your destiny really matter. Thanks Mr Oh, I'm really inspired.
That is so smart teach rich people how to make a pizza and then they’ll forget how the next day
They have other bigger picture priorities than making food lol
@@CiaoBello21 yeah lol
this is the definition of blessing in disguise... what an inspiration
I love this one! Buford Farmers market is a favorite place.
I'm a self taught cook too. I never knew how much delight I get from trying and learning new recipes. It's much cheaper than restaurant and I love grocery shopping for new and unique foods
This guy may be the oldest looking 'millenial' i've ever seen
Millenials are 1981 to 1996 and this year oldest are 40 and youngest 25 years old.
@@vasiovasio Those dates constantly get changed around. Under no circumstance was someone ever born in 1981 a millennial lmao.
@Juicebox So you're admitting you didn't read a word I typed? Why are you openly admitting your ignorance?
@Juicebox You didn't read what I said. You're ignorant
@Juicebox he's a troll
When something negative happens, do you see it as an obstacle or an opportunity? So many people fall into depression when they’re laid off and become angry or withdrawn but this man saw it as an opportunity. Awesome story!
His food looks absolutely delicious!!!!
are you also a chef?
ALOT of things require dealing with the public, being a likeable person or charismatic, really daunting stuff for folks that don't really like socializing a lot.
I don't think he needed a degree on how to prepare a meal, we're conditioned by those who've invested interest in culinary art business that we needed some sort of a certificate. If you think of it, a lot of crafts shouldn't require a degree and can be easily self-taught.
As a chef coming back into the industry i need this
The food looks so freaking delicious 😋
This is my goal!! Thank you guys for this video gave me inspiration 😭 I have been cooking since I was 10 years old
Instagram so I can see some of your work. I know people that always need catering.
My korean brother u are rocking it and so handsome! Go boyyyyy
He has a natural uplifting spirit about him! #StayBlessed big Mike
Michael, way to go! I love to cook and meet new people too! Are you hiring or want to expand? Congrats and very inspiring! P.s. always some amazing stories about immigrants DNA.
Wow, would love to see more awesome stories like this, what a great job!
Michael!!! So glad your making it and doing what you love!!!!
Someone said that our futures have been planned and written already and we don't even know it
How would we?
It's an excuse used by people who don't want to work for something. It's easier for them to blame some godly human thing of interfering with their lives instead of admitting their failures.
*Love seeing someone make a killing at a career they absolutely love!*
I like the way he talks just like his cooking…lots of soul.
All you need is connection with an entourage of rich upper class who either could share their secret or you create a symbiotic relationship with them. Recipe for success is not typical "Food Recipe" you think. Also he valued his self worth and passion more than the notion of Money itself. Very laudable and inspiring indeed!
I would love him to come cook for our family. 🤗🤗🤗🤗✅

Hes charging per person around 300$ dollars thats a bit diculous
@@goodone5590 Its only ridiculous if you can't afford it. Its all relative.
Chef oh knows his worth and work.
If you’re honest, have passion and meticulous about your work and deliver high standards of service. Pretty sure even the customers don’t feel the pinch and feel the bill is justified if they get good and trustworthy service.
I being an asian myself i know i would say,” thought it was a bit pricey, it was worth it” if i get quality service.
I heard Korean born twins living in Michigan who turned down offer in becoming army helicopter pilot school for the military having scored perfect on asvab test and so on because their love affair with cooking to attend chef school back in the 80’s. Your heart is set on something and hard to change it lol
This man is living the American dream!
Seeing him being laid off from his job and now pursuing what he loves is great and I should do that 😂
It’s awesome to see people pivot in a trying time!
He makes pasta in a pan... Yes, baby!!! My dad, who's a self-taught chef, taught me this as well.
