When I was playing HeartGold and saw a shiny, I remember killing it because I didn't want a "sparkly" pokemon.
I was that kid with a shiny ralts 🤦🏻♀️
Here's one thing wrong:
I only get random ones and not ones I go out of my way to hunt, such as Noctowl
I'm like the exact opposite, I never get random shinies, only ones I hunt for

Have u tried dynamax adventures in crown tundra? 1 in 300 without shiny charm 1 in 100 with shiny charm. 1 in 25 with best odds when u beat dynamax adventures assuming u beat and caught all 4 pokemon. I caught a shiny guzzlord that way.

I thing I don't like is when a branched evolution is random. Like you've evolved your shiny Wurmple into a Dustox and you encounter another shiny Wurmple.

Hey same here, I have only caught one shiny in all of the pokemon games I have played. Not including the lake of rage one. Just one and I have only seen one. I have gotten more in Pokémon go then in the games.
The only time I’ve ever caught a shiny was in Pokémon Go,, I’ve actually caught like 25 shinys in Pokémon Go,, feels like the possibility is really high and I’m happy about it- it’s still special every single time- especially when they’ve been legendary and special Pokémon, like my beautiful shiny pink Kyogre and Celebi- and my Red shiny Gyrados I had to get 400 candies to evolve

The hacked shiny thing happened to me! I was randomly trading in wonder trade in x and y and got a shiny shaymin just to learn it’s more then likely a hacked mon great video tho!

I absolutely love that you included the AusLove trainer ID when talking about how hacked shiny pokemon are often traded through wonder trades LMAO. Haven't played in awhile but upon release of Sw&Sh I was streaming a lot and it quickly became a reoccurring theme for my chat to tell new viewers that my shinys were from AusLove lol.

while thankfully it's not the horrible shade of lime green . it's still not a good shade of green either especially with the red wings
the green could have been darker.. or better yet actually purple and yellow would be a better color completely
as for noibat I'm not a fan of the color blue but at least it's good still and his cute
in any color even in lime he would look cute still ( lime is fitting for smaller pokemom but bad for bigger)

6:40 it took til 2017 until I got my first shiny, a spearow on firered. I'd been playing since gen 1, so I know the feeling. I don't shiny hunt so when I finally got my first, and to this very day only, shiny it was such a joyful moment ngl

And let's not forget that the catch rate for G-Max Pokemon are absolutely abysmal! I remember spending so much time in people's streams, that were hosting shiny dens, just to catch one! And I wish they didn't shiny lock the box legendaries! I mean I have them shiny, but would love to be able to use them online already!
Also, Pokemon Sword and Shield was my first mainline game, and have almost 600 shiny Pokemon in my collection within the 5,000 hours of playtime.
I remember I was catching meditite in Pokemon platinum and didn’t know what shinnies are but I was searching for a good nature meditite but I found 1 with a adamant nature but looked weird so thought it was a bug or something that will ruin my save so I didn’t save and restart the ds afraid of what the shiny meditite may do to my game ..... :(

I got lucky enough to randomly catch a shiny Crabrawler in a berry pile in Pokemon Moon. That's the only non-event shiny I've gotten. As a kid, I didn't even understand that I could catch the shiny Gyarados, I thought it was a boss to beat... My adult self is still sad about it. My shiny hunts have never turned up anything. And Pokemon Go doesn't count for shinies.

When I fisted played pokemon sword, I ran into my first pokemon with pokeballs and it was a shiny wooloo. I didn't even mean to run into it but it got me and was SHINY!
I one time caught a shiny abra in my emerald version before it could teleport.

'Can't tell the difference' - happened to me in my Pokémon White! I was breeding Togepi to get one with good stats and in the process I released quite a lot of freshly hatched ones. I never realized I hatched and subsequently released a shiny Togepi, only found out when I noticed I had a dex entry for its shiny form.
Other stories: in Black 2 random shiny Basculin Took Down itself, in X a horde of Geodude Magnituded a shiny one to death and there's also my friend's story: he softreseted for ages to get a shiny Kyogre in Ultra Sun only to have his Golisopod escape from the battle.
I remember in pkmn white I fainted a shiny Ditto when I encountered it with my Charizard 🤦🥺 I even missed my bus stop 😂 I was so mad I wanted to cry that day

It is usually pretty obvious to tell when someone has hacked a shiny. Usually, they have Pokerus or are cured, have max IVs, are level 100, or have a weird OT name

I have years of never receiving an in game shiny until pokemon go. That game just seems to spit them out.
When I played through the gen 7 games, I got really lucky and found a shiny before finnishing the first island. In Moon, I wanted an Aloan Raichu, found a normal pichu, accidently fainted it, serched for it again, next pichu I found was a shiny. I named her Brownie because I knew shiny Alolan Raichu was a nice chocolate brown.
Then when I played Ultra Sun, after finnishing my first grand trail, I wanted to put a noivern on my team. Same thing happend, found a Noibat, accidently fainted, next one I found was shiny. Name him Eclipse because of the mix of dark green and black of shiny noibat, and I eventually grew to like shiny noivern.
Saddly, it didn't happen for a third time durring my gen 8 playthrough when I was trying to find milcery.
I was replaying firered once and I was in lavender town and the mother ghost marowak was shiny...... I threw a couple pokeballs then raged and broke my firered version into many pieces lmao.
I got a shiny gulpin in X, a shiny magikarp in moon, and a shiny pikachu in let's go eevee. The only one that was even hunted for was the Pikachu and even that was off of a catch chain of rattata

The one legit shiny i got was a Tirtouga from a fossil on my first playthrough of Black. I never used it and never realised it was a shiny until months after I reset my game when I saw the normal colour online and got confused. I've never gotten another legit.

I did some max raids for latios and first one I got from those was a shiny chansey, then I got Latios about 24-30 raids later (I stopped counting after 10)
But it was much faster than the xerneas ive been trying to get haha.
Shinies are really easy to find in max raids if you have the shiny charm. With shiny charm its like 1/25-1/50 raids will have a random shiny of the four pokemon you catch per raid.

I mainly really only have a problem with the shinies that don't really change. But if they can evolve and have cool colors. I excuse it, like alakazam. But blissey has no excuse

I wish Pokemon would do shinies like TemTem did where shines are guaranteed to have high IV's. Then, only then, do I feel like shinies would be worth it and they could even code it to where if you spawned or hacked it in, it would have only normal IV's.

7. Shiny gumsoose in Pokemon ultra sun (named her President)
8. Shiny pyroar in Pokemon ultra sun (named him Royalty)
9. Shiny peliper in Pokemon ultra sun (named him Birdman)
10. Shiny mimikyu in Pokemon sword (named her Radio)
11. Shiny escavileer in Pokemon sword named her Knight)
12. Shiny rotom in Pokemon shield (forgot what I named it)

Ive never even seen one and ive only caught one in pokemon go lol
