Few days ago I got a Shiny Charmander with a hat from an egg in Pokémon Go. But later I discovered that it can't be transferred to let's go, Pokémon Home or Sword and Shield.
The only shiny ive ever failed was a ho-oh that I reset over. It's been 2 years and I still haven't gotten another one. Edit: I've redeemed myself and gotten the shiny back
@@PrimalDialga999 You can actually encounter and shiny hunt Hitmontop in Colosseum (Gen 3) which seems like the author didn't know about, but its one of the most difficult hunts you can do so it stays a hard to obtain shiny. 😄
You forgot to mention that with the Manaphy egg, you don’t just have to reset Pokemon Ranger again, you have to do it on a whole new cartdrige as you only get the egg code once per cartridge
I can tell you that when I was shiny hunting Rayquaza in US, I DID end up resetting the game the first time it popped up.... I lost about 10 years of my life on that.... fortunately out of pure stubbornness I managed to get it again, after a month more of soft resetting
I soft reset shiny rayquaza aswell. Took 2 thousand resets to get it first time and about 4 thousand to get it again. Worth it though cos shiny rayquaza is a beast.

U know the funny thing is in ultra sun while I was looking for a larvesta to SOS method on I actually somehow found a shiny female salandit in a random encounter. Heck I still have that salazle on the file.

My first shiny was a shiny magnetron I found him while I was grinding in the power plant in fire red and almost one hit k.o it by using a razor leaf on it but it missed and then I caught him
Walks Intensely congrats. My personal best hunt is my celebi hunt in the vc crystal. Only took 767 encounters, then I also got a shiny litwick in 3 eggs, which was a nice surprise. Currently hunting that thrice damned rookidee. Have killed 3223 of them and still no golden bird for me.
My very first shiny was a Dugtrio in ultra sun when I was going through a cave. Ironically, I was out of repels to use so remember, sometimes being out of repels is a good thing!
There are a few innaccuracies in this video.... more than I feel like listing... but I'll at least clear up #1 You don't have to play through any ranger game multiple times to check for Manaphy. That's actually completely unnecessary. All you need is one egg (though having more than one does help) What you want to do is keep trading the unhatched egg between gen 4 games with new files and hope that the RNG details for the egg syncronizes with a Shiny frame on the new file. (Same odds as normal shiny hunting) however it can take anywhere between 10-30 minutes to check the egg on a new game. As someone who's completed a Manaphy hunt..... That hunt is unbelievably tedius and "not fun" not to mention LONG unless you're extremely lucky... x3 I'm happy I got one but that's most of 2 years I'll never get back.
Fails to mention Shiny Gen 3 Togepi Only available through eggs, no Flame Body trick (unless you fork over the money for a copy of Emerald), no Masuda Method, and the only way you can receive a Togepi is from FRLG post-game. The quickest way you could possibly hunt Togepi is to... Beat Leaf Green, and beat about half of the post-game islands Beat Emerald Trade Togepi, Ditto, and Magmar from Leaf Green to Emerald Evolve Togepi Breed Togetic with Ditto Get opposite gender Togepi Evolve that Togepi Put that Togetic with the Original Togetic in the Day Care (with best nature and Everstone if you want a viable one) AND Finally, use the Mach Bike while having Magmar in your party Mach Bike is 33% faster than the bike in FRLG, not to mention Emerald has a long route at the day care to hatch eggs, on top of Magmar decreasing hatch distance by 50%. Ruby and Sapphire are 33% faster than FRLG, and provides less hand cramps from the long route; while Emerald is almost twice as fast as FRLG. And for those wondering; yes I'm doing this, and I'm 10,700 hatches in with 360 hours on the clock. I cry evrtim
When I shiny hunt legendaries now, I always bring along a Harvest/Bestow Leppa Berry Phantum. Not because I lost one this way (although I did SR over a shiny Pheromosa once), but because I've seen others suffer the same fate.

In the old games you could only get shiny I and V unknowns because the shiny chance is based off of IV. And to make it surprising, IV, only I and V unknown. Pretty cool.

Yesterday I caught 3 by chaining in x, the day before that I caught 2 shiny Poliwags 5 minutes from each other. Today I caught 1. And I started last week on Wednesday. Shiny hunting is the thrill I miss from Pokemon. It's just so worth it! All those spent hours/minutes/days is totally worth it! To the people who haven't tried it I highly encourage you to give it a try. As of right now i'm currently hunting a honedge by using the Masuda Method. Another cool thing is my brothers & sisters love shiny hunting when I do it, it's basically a thing we do as a family. a bunch of Pokenerds lol.

The first shiny I ever hunted was grookey with masuda method, and after several hundreds of hatched eggs, I finally got one, and I just hatched the rest of the eggs that I had, and the next one was another shiny grookey
First Shiny was a Shiny Geodude that I got when I was seven. I had no concept of what a shiny was, but i’m thankful I was intelligent enough to catch it
Hitmontop is actually one of the easiest shiniest to get, because in Gen II the Odd Egg has a 14% chance of being shiny(50% in Japan), and any of the baby pokémon from gen II can come out of it. I actually got a shiny Tyrogue in my Pokémon Crystal ROM from the Odd Egg.

You forgot about Jirachi. Only 2 methods were available; Colosseum Peorder Edition which could only give away so many Jirachi but still had a small chance on gba and the Japanese Tanabata Event from about 6-7 years ago.
Shiny Spiritomb is an absolute pain, just because of all the garbage you have to go through just to get the encounter. You have to use Diamond and Pearl’s underground communication-mini game thing, and talk to several different players just to get it to appear. There are loopholes, but they require 2 DS systems and 2 copies of the game.
Technically you don't have to start Pokemon Ranger over to get shiny Manaphy. Just hatch the egg on the traded game and if it's not shiny start the first game over to generate a new trainer and secret ID and get to the point where you can trade it to the new save file and rinse and repeat. Still time consuming but way better than trying to beat Pokemon Ranger repeatedly.
My first-ever shining was actually a shiny male combee, but despite him being absolutely useless I still love em.

Shiny Manaphy is actually reliant on your secret ID so you just have to restart and trade between two gen 4 games :)

I got a shiny manaphy, me and my brothers played a total 472 runs of pokemon ranger. With 3 copies and me and my brother had daimond and pearl. Probably the nicest thing my brothers have done for me

In the old games you could only get shiny I and V unknowns because the shiny chance is based off of IV. And to make it surprising, IV, only I and V unknown. Pretty cool.

Yesterday I caught 3 by chaining in x, the day before that I caught 2 shiny Poliwags 5 minutes from each other. Today I caught 1. And I started last week on Wednesday.
Shiny hunting is the thrill I miss from Pokemon. It's just so worth it! All those spent hours/minutes/days is totally worth it! To the people who haven't tried it I highly encourage you to give it a try. As of right now i'm currently hunting a honedge by using the Masuda Method.
Another cool thing is my brothers & sisters love shiny hunting when I do it, it's basically a thing we do as a family. a bunch of Pokenerds lol.

I have both shiny Mew and shiny Manaphy on my Pokemon Y copy got then in trade. Weather they're legitimate or hacked, I don't really care. I have a bunch of other legendaries on the game as well. The first shiny I ever hunted was grookey with masuda method, and after several hundreds of hatched eggs, I finally got one, and I just hatched the rest of the eggs that I had, and the next one was another shiny grookey

Hitmontop is actually one of the easiest shiniest to get, because in Gen II the Odd Egg has a 14% chance of being shiny(50% in Japan), and any of the baby pokémon from gen II can come out of it.

You forgot about Jirachi. Only 2 methods were available; Colosseum Peorder Edition which could only give away so many Jirachi but still had a small chance on gba and the Japanese Tanabata Event from about 6-7 years ago.
Shiny Spiritomb is an absolute pain, just because of all the garbage you have to go through just to get the encounter. You have to use Diamond and Pearl’s underground communication-mini game thing, and talk to several different players just to get it to appear. There are loopholes, but they require 2 DS systems and 2 copies of the game.
Technically you don't have to start Pokemon Ranger over to get shiny Manaphy. Just hatch the egg on the traded game and if it's not shiny start the first game over to generate a new trainer and secret ID and get to the point where you can trade it to the new save file and rinse and repeat. Still time consuming but way better than trying to beat Pokemon Ranger repeatedly.
