Two years ago, I actually had the eevee in the lets go demo shiny.
Of every single shiny encounter, it HAD to be in the demo
They should shiny lock any and all ‘mon in the demos

I had the luck for the bunnebly from the cathing tutorial in X to be shiny for me, it was the first Pokémon game that I player in a legitimate console, before that I only played in roms.

MeSaDrums one of my friends caught a shiny latias but didn’t know what shines were so just went like “yo this pokemon has a weird colour what the hell” and I was jusg amazed at the fact that they even got a shiny in the first place
@@Lars_Hermsen fun fact, there were 2 pokemon I encountered as shiny before ever encountering their normal counterpart. First time was Ursaring in gen 2, fainted it cus I needed the exp for Red, then saw a regular one, caught that one, then realized my mistake when I suddenly encountered 5 "shiny" ursarings in a row(and wasted 5 ultra balls) and regretted it ever since.
Second one was a druddigon, which I stored in a box once I caught it, because its a pretty ugly shiny. Its one of the very few, non garantueed, shinies I own. I am just glad that you cant transfer OG gen 2 pokemon through gen 3 and onward, because at least then it doesnt matter that I defeated my very first shiny.
I got one shiny electrike in pokémon emerald begore knowing what was a shiny, then I began shiny hunting for a magikarp and got in the first day

I had to hatch 1,854 eggs in my ultra sun game to get a shiny axew, and then I found out I could get a shiny haxorus fairly easily in my black 2 game, I was extremely annoyed.
But I am still happy with valkyrie, my shiny haxorus.

Incineroar is based off of a wrestler in Japan called Tiger The Dark or Dark Tiger. The shiny more likely based off of one of his rivals, Jyushin Thunder Liger.

I randomly remembered the first shiny i ever found, back before i knew about shinies. I was playing oras and encountered a shiny cacnea. Stared at it for a good minute thinking "Yo what happened to this cacnea? is it sick?" Luckily, i thought of actually catching it and not killing it. Found out about shinies shortly after catching it.
My brother once asked me if a wild Geodude he encountered looked weird colored, and I just said nah, don't think so and he ran away from it.
in the Japanese community, "Shiny Pokemon" isn't a thing. The term they use is closer to "Alternate color" or "Different color"
Nowadays, sure, but even they used 光るポケモン in the old days (archive.is/LvC7b from 1999, this is in reference to a random encounter Caterpie)
I guess “alternate colour” is from Stadium 2? I should check that sometime.
And in the series the characters reference to shiny pokemon as "odd colored."

Literally the first time I went into an Ultra Wormhole, I found a Shiny Nuzleaf.
I was like, " Oh. So thats what these have to offer then."

Fun fact: over the years I've played pokemon, I've found countless random shines, about 15 or 20 of them.
Ironically, every one of these shinies have come from gen 2-5; I have never found a random gen 6, 7 or 8 shiny. This is ironic because the shiny odds in those games were drastically improved, yet I've never found a shiny in them.
gen 8 shiny grind is super easy. use shiny charm by completing standard galar dex and play through dynamax lair. got me like 12 shinies using that method

2 facts for you:
1.) If you evolve a shiny Nincada, and have an extra slot for Shedinja, the Shedinja will also be shiny.
2.) Pokemon GO has the highest base shiny chance of any pokemon game, with a nice 1/450 chance. (0.2%)

I remember encountering a shiny golbat just outside silver cave in crystal, while only having 1 great ball. I took a chance with it and caught it by pure luck.
In emerald i encountered a shiny ralts as soon as i got pokeballs and ended up catching it as well
a similar event happened to me too.
On the 2nd of September I was soft resetting starters in Pokémon SoulSilver and I got a shiny Cyndaquil after only 483 soft resets.
Then the very next day on the 3rd of September I had started my SoulSilver journey and literally a single step after I had just been given my first 5 pokeballs from Lyra, I encountered a shiny Pidgey by pure luck and caught it.
Then the very next day after that on the 4th of September I was playing FireRed and encountered a shiny Rattata in Viridian Forest by pure luck and I had only a single pokeball left and I managed to catch it.

I caught pokerus on Emerald once, legit while I was EV training. Didn't notice til the pokemon center lady gave some really weird dialogue that I already skipped half of before I realized it wasn't the same old thing. Was super cool.

Fun Bonus Fact: Shiny Pokémon are less likely to appear when you *want* to find them but are only to happy to appear when you either have a few lower tier Pokéballs or none at all and your only Pokémon available to weaken it are almost certain to kill it 😂😂😂

The only shiny in a Gameboy Pkmn game I’ve ever found happened to be a Paras in my FireRed game and it was in the Safari Zone of all things. Panic ensued but after 6 turns, I caught it!

They did fix it no? When they released zapdos, all of them were shiny, but now they are normal
MJ Ambura The original sprite has yellow claws and the yellow looks a tiny bit more bright. The current normal sprite in Go has orange claws and darker colors that should have been the shiny version. And the current shiny version in go has the colors even more darker and the claws are almost red.

I feel really proud of myself, because somehow, in sword/shield I managed to get a shiny mespirit as my first shiny (that wasn’t ultra wormhole or cheated in).
I didn’t have the shiny charm, I wasn’t hunting it, I was just going through a dynamax adventure, and then randomly got shiny mespirit. I’m pretty sure that dynamax adventures have raised shiny odds, but I’m still happy for myself

Another good one-shiny locks weren't introduced in Black and White. Traded Pokemon and non Shiny mystery gifts have always been locked, as have weird quirks like Ranger Manaphy, but only in the game that receives it. And another one: In official material, the word "Shiny" is capitalized, even though it's an adjective, but technically in this case a name for a category of Pokemon.

The odd eggs you get from the daycare have a very high chance of being shiny, it also allows you to have shiny female Pokémon in gen 2.
Magearna & Castform's variants have shinies now. Magearna's is entirely metallic, Catform's variants basically have more saturated color pallets. I think that's new to gen 8 (at least in Home)
I experienced finding a shiny poochyena when I started out playing Omega Ruby- and you should have heard the language. Saying I was unhappy would be an understatement.

To add to the list of guaranteed shinies in the games that have released since this video: In Legends Arceus there's a side quest that lets you catch a free shiny Ponyta, in the Teal Mask DLC of Scarlet and Violet if you win all difficulties in Ogre Oustin' you get a shiny Munchlax, and in the Indigo Disk DLC a character trades you a shiny Blitzle if you win a battle against them in the post game
Some random fact is that when I was first playing Pokémon moon I encountered a shiny caterpie and I still have it and I found it early game I have never completed the Pokédex in any game.

I also don’t think I’ve ever come across my own shiny, I’ve received a few from a no-lif-... an expert friend of mine, cause he had extras and knew I’d spent days in the same spot trying for it. I’ve even had the shiny charm and done all the extra research to make sure my odds were the best every time I’ve tried.

Also I did the cute charm glitch in gen 4 and the double shiny crash glitch actually became a surprisingly huge pain. Whenever I had a partner I would have to save religiously to avoid it.
