We can be like Jesus, but we can never obtain his divinity or be a god. Our goal is to be like him, but it is blastomas to think we can acquire Gods glorious magnificence, his all knowingness, his grand omnipotence and omnipresence, and so much more, this will never happen, you have been mislead..

@@hollayevladimiroff131We are literal sons and daughters of Heavenly Father. God would want nothing more than to share his joy with us. For us to do that, we needed a safe place to make decisions, learn right from wrong, learn from our mistakes, and become more like our father. It’s what every father dreams of, to raise happy and successful children.

Blasphemy and disgusting….Mormons have no clue who Christ is ….it’s astounding to me that anyone would buy into this blasphemous nonsense and hell bound doctrines. Repent while you have breath. God, Holy Spirit, Christ are all ONE. And the only one. Joseph’s myth is just that … a fairytale that disgustingly takes Christs deity and reduces it to a joke……Mormons areas much Christian as a beer can on the side of the road.

@hollayevladimiroff131, that's how Protestants, Catholics Jews and Muslims get it wrong. We can be equal with Jesus through his power. That's why Jesus told Joseph Smith the ministers denied the power thereof.

At 15:17 in the video, Pastor Jeff said this: “God … doesn’t want my religious activity; He wants my heart… He wants our heart more than He wants our religious activity.”
Indeed, God does what the "heart" of those who believe in Him. But God also wants "all thy soul, and … all thy mind, and … all thy strength” (Mark 12:30). Which is to say: Jesus wants His followers to Love and Serve God with a complete and whole effort; which includes a humble and broken “heart,” as well as faithful “strength” of action-physical deeds done by the "strength” of one’s body.
For example, in the parable of the Sheep and the Goats, faithful actions accomplished through the "strength" of the body, are done by the "righteous" who shall go "into eternal life"-those who have fed the hungry, clothed the naked, and visited the sick or in prison (Matt. 25:42-46).
I assume Pastor Jeff is discounting "religious activity," because of his interpretation of the Apostle Paul's words:
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; … Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph. 2:8-9).
This passage is traditionally interpreted to mean: Human Action plays no role in bringing about salvation by "grace." Here's the problem with that interpretation:
First, this interpretation does not have “two or three witnesses” (2 Cor. 13:1; Matt. 18:16) from any of the other New Testament prophets. Second, this traditional interpretation-asserted many centuries ago-contradicts the teachings of both Jesus and James. How so?
The following teachings of Jesus involve Human Action in order to accomplish them, and these Human Actions lead to being “saved” and entering “into the kingdom of heaven”-
    1) “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matt. 7:21).
    2) “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved” (Mark 16:16).
    3) “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved” (Matt. 10:22).
These Human Actions must be done, in order to be "saved" and "enter into the kingdom of heaven." Further, add to these three teachings, the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats where Human Actions of Loving the “least of these” thru the “strength” of one’s body, results in gaining "eternal life" (Matt. 25:46).
The assumption that Human Action plays no role in bringing about salvation is also contradicted by 12 verses in the 2nd Chapter of James-Bible verses that define an active Faith in Jesus Christ, as opposed to a passive, “dead” Faith:
    1) “If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not [good] works, is dead, being alone” (James 2:15-17).
    2) “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my [good] works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without [good] works is dead?” (James 2:18-20).
    3) Ye see then how that by [good] works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without [good] works is dead also” (James 2:24-26).
And why is this definition of Faith important? Because Paul taught: "For by grace are ye saved through faith" (Eph. 2:8). And the Apostle confirmed: "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have ACCESS BY FAITH into this GRACE [emphasis added] wherein we stand" (Romans 5:1-2).
Therefore, expressing Faith in Jesus Christ IS how we "access" saving Grace! And clearly a Faith that "is dead" (James 2:17, 20, 26) cannot access saving Grace!
So, what did Paul mean when he wrote: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; … Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph. 2:8-9)?
Paul clarified what he meant by the phrase "Not of works" in two epistles he wrote before his epistle to the Ephesians (A.D. 60-62). We simply need to find the passages where Paul spoke of "boasting" and of “works.”
Here is one of Paul’s clarifications: In his epistle to the Galatian saints (written A.D. 55-57), Paul taught that it was those who followed the Law of Moses, who were prone to “boast,” that they might “impress” others. Paul wrote:
“Those who want to IMPRESS [emphasis added] others by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may BOAST [emphasis added] about your circumcision in the flesh. May I never BOAST [emphasis added] except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Gal. 6:12-14 NIV).
Before writing his epistle to the Ephesians (A.D. 60-62), Paul wrote to the Romans (A.D. 57-59), and in this earlier epistle, Paul spoke of “works” and of “boasting.”
“To demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works [of Moses]? No, because of the law that requires faith [in Jesus]. For we maintain that a person is justified by faith [in Jesus] apart from the works of the law [of Moses]” (Rom. 3:26-28 NIV).
Therefore, in Ephesian 2:8-9 the Apostle Paul's phrase "Not of works" means:
Not of the works of the law of Moses, lest any man should boast.
Then, to draw a contrast between the Dead Works of the Law of Moses-by which some Jews boast-and the Living Works of the "law of faith" (Romans 3:27)-this is why Paul wrote the following, immediately after the verses that is commonly misinterpreted:
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto GOOD WORKS [emphasis added], which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" (Eph. 2:10).
Note in verse 9, Paul spoke of “works,” and then, in verse 10, he spoke of “good works.” This was to contrast the works of the law of Moses, compared to the good works of the law of faith in Jesus Christ. The former having nothing to do with the Lord's New Law of Faith, and therefore, nothing to do with accessing grace (Rom. 5:1-2).
Both Jesus and His Apostle Paul declared a vital standard by which believers can correctly interpret God’s Truth: “In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established” (2 Cor. 13:1; Matt. 18:16).
By what the Savior taught, and the 2nd witness of His Apostle James, God "established" that faithfully walking in "good works" not only shines the light of the Lord (Matt. 5:16), but also glorifies God (1 Pet. 2:12)-and such Faithful Walking is the outward manifestation of our inner Faith in Christ.
This Gospel Truth explains why God judges the inhabitants of the earth by Human Actions which are outwardly manifest-specifically, whether we have "done good" or have "done evil" (John 5:29). God judges humanity and “every man according to their works" (Rev. 20:12-13).
Jesus confirmed that Belief and Faith in Him, are inseparable from Following Him. The Savior said:
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also" (John 14:12 NKJV). Therefore, Love, Faith, and Truth are not merely thought or spoken, they are also done:
"For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who DOES THE TRUTH [emphasis added] comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God” (John 3:20-21 NKJV).
On the theme of Faith and Love manifest by Human Action, the Apostle Paul added his witness:
"For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working by love" (Gal. 5:5-6 NKJV).
Also, the Lord taught that “love” works by faithful obedience. Jesus said:
“If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15).
Further, such faithful obedience results in “eternal salvation.” As the Apostle Paul taught:
"Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him" (Heb. 5:8-9).
This doctrine declared by Paul, is yet another witness that contradicts the common interpretation of "For by grace are ye saved through faith; … Not of works" (Eph. 2:8-9)-which is traditionally interpreted to mean that Human Action plays no role in accessing Salvation.
As demonstrated in the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats, charity given to “the least of these” is not merely manifest by thoughts or spoken words-or by pure intentions-but also by faithful Human Action, done with all heart, soul, mind, and strength. And Jesus promised "eternal life" to those who manifest such Charity. ❤🙏

There comes a point where the quest for truth becomes a hard rejection of it. Fear of change?Fear of the responsibility of it? Pride ? It appears to be the case here.
"22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."James1:22-24. ,
"...how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!"
    Luke 13:34
    Read 3Nephi 10:4-7.
Harden not your heart until it is too late. He's coming soon, to take an account of your choices.
It's a sad, but common thing, refusing to be converted.
Maybe I'm just impatient with obstacles that I cannot see. Jesus can see them he knows how to help each of us overcome. His compassion is greater than mine or yours. Keep walking in the path of truth.

CS Lewis believed that we are baby gods. I guess Jeff considers himself a better theologian that Brother Lewis?
“It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which,if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree helping each other to one or the other of these destinations. It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all of our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations - these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit - immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.”

Jesus is God and he was in the beginning with God, The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is God, and they were in the beginning, the first and the last.

You keep talking about where people are...will you elaborate on that for me ? Because here is what I believe. . I know and believe that a baby can grow up and become an adult. . Why would anyone think it strange for us as real children of real heavenly parents to want to grow up and become more like our heavenly parents. You could not develop faith if you new everything and if you new everything you would be a God .
You are not a God but neither is a baby an adult.. For crying out loud a baby can not even wipe it's own bottom. . Yet that baby can grow up and become an adult.
Can it really be that strange and foreign from the human mind that we can grow up and become more like Jesus Christ the only begoton of the father .
The Father of our Spirit as we are more than a physical body and that we really did learn to call him Father before we came to earth to get a body, to develop, and to go through learning growing experiences for the calisthenics of growth and pure love to become more .
Why is it so easy for the human mind to make God so abstract.? Is this Jeff what you mean by saying. " Where people are"? Help me understand! For here is my saying. " The essence or purposes of life is growth and to become and to overcome, a baby can grow up and become an adult we can grow up and become a adult like our heavenly parents. It is our weaknesses that keeps us from God. ". It is pure love that our heavenly parents wants us to grow up and become and become an adult like they are . This truly is what brings glory to their name. Life is so beautiful life is so full of opportunities for us to overcome as our Lord Jesus Christ did . Lord Jesus Christ is so real and so personal to all of us for what he did and is now doing for us all as the Christ the only begoton of our heavenly Father. Praises be to God our heavenly Father and his only begoton son Lord Jesus. . As a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. . I love God our heavenly Father and his only begoton son Jesus Christ.

sorry hello saints, and in good faith ...
easily refuting anti-mormons. anti-mormons do not understand basic christian doctrine. here's the big problem for you, and all so-called christian churches, that you refuse to acknowledge ... jesus founded his church on prophets and apostles. the scriptures clearly tell us that, many times. and there is only one church today that has prophets and apostles. the restored church of jesus christ. "the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints" which you refer to as mormons. not any of yours. consider yourself schooled. the church of god in the time of the prophets, was built on the foundation of the prophets, i. e. upon those doctrines and doctrinal truths deliver'd by them. the church of god under the new testament, is built not only on the foundation of the prophets, but of the apostles, Rev. 21:14. this is precisely what paul affirms in ephesians 2:20 where he says that the church is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, christ jesus himself being the cornerstone” (cf. rev. 21:14; also 1cor. 3:10-11 in context). the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is the ONLY church today built on a foundation of apostles and prophets. anti-mormons are teaching a false gospel (just like all protestants). for that matter, catholics as well.
