    This is the most humorous video of Eckhart I have ever seen. His personality is really cool and he always makes a bright day even more brighter with the light of his consciousness. He is also the best remedy whenever we are feeling low or having a dark day. I appreciate you so much Eckhart. Thanks for everything.

      Enjoy everything and be attached to nothing is a very nice idea. So are you enjoying everything and attached to nothing? Not even love could enjoy everything in a world of such destruction, stupidity, ugliness and squaller on a once perfect and unspoiled whole of nature life-system that we call Mother Earth. And you don't realize that is a violence to suggest you should detach, even in implication, because you don't detach - you observe and understand all the phenomena of conscious life including what you call attachment, but if you think you already know all about attachment because Eckhart Tolle told you then this is proof that he has damaged your brain by fooling it into accepting Tolle's words on faith which deprives you of the opportunity of perceiving uninfluenced these phenomena of life and understanding them for what they actually are. You think his verbal explanations are sufficient, and even HE must know that THEY ARE NOT. And this uninfluenced, free perception of what actually is is the only thing that liberates, even if the world mind might be desperate enough to try and stop you in your tracks.

    This is a revelation! As I’ve listened to this beautiful clip from Eckhart I had to suppress my laugh: I’m riding the bus ))) because my noisy Alfa Romeo that I also greet as a spoiled Italian signora (not red though) is a bit broken at the moment ))) but above all I’m Russian and I guess I now get a secret about LADA’s: This beautiful mechanical creature leads you either to zen or to a nuthouse )))) and my car is also seems a bit pathological to me now, because it’s just a slight aesthetic step away from LADA. Thank you dear Eckhart for a lovely moment!

I just witness it all: the Bavarian sunrise over the fields, my stiff pinky finger that I jammed several days ago, a blossom on a plain-looking cactus that my son gave me 3 years ago, my dying and annoying cat, who doesn't realize that she just ate and whines by her bowl...
    It's just life, being life.

    People sometimes forget that expensive things are not only a show-off, they carry lots of quality to them. It's about comfort and quality of life. A good car has good sound system and more comfortable seats, they last longer and are safer. I have an expesive bag that has been with me for the past 8 years, and still looks new. Never had to buy a new one in all this time, good quality leather. The problem is when people think that expensive brands shape a person making them better or more interesting. Worse when u think u need all that to be a better person yourself...

    I have a red 2016 Fiat Spyder that I bought brand new ; and although I denied it , I acted exactly like that. Then one day , I got into an accident twice ! … and I completely lost it .
    So much for not being attached .
    So , how do you not become attached ? Yes , you say don’t identify yourself with it . Don’t let it give you your sense of self …. Sense of who you are ! If I don’t ,, then who am I ?

    The difference between the ability to not be attached to material things and living things are worlds apart in the level of difficulty. If my house burned down, I would grieve a little, but probably be more angry than sad. it just could not match the grief I've felt for the loss of family, friends and pets. I've known about attachment being the root of suffering since reading Eastern texts when I was 15, and I really am not upset by the loss of material things besides the annoying inconvenience of it. But I have no clue as to how you can love a living being and not be attached. It's seems to be a superhuman feat.

    • @amandaboddice505
      @amandaboddice505 25 днів тому +1

      I’ve had reason to ponder this in my life too. I think you have to ask yourself what exactly is the nature of the attachment we feel to people we love... is it because of what they bring to us? In other words, harsh as it may seem, some kind of need fulfilment? We call it “love” as if we know what that actually means, then when we lose the person we “love”, we feel grief. But is that grief for the person, or for the loss of something that person (or pet) brought to our lives that we are afraid to live without? Change - especially the change involved in loss - is always painful, it takes pain to adjust to a new situation. But love, love should be able to let go. We bring up our kids, we love them, and then the healthiest thing is to let them go. Whether that’s to another part of the world, from which we rarely see them, or to heaven. I lost my husband in a car crash, when my youngest was only two... and one of my daughters, four years later, died at age 15 of a seizure, in her bed. I know both of them are free of pain now and likely very much better off than here on earth, so my grief is not for what they have lost, but for what i have lost. My eldest daughter has moved to Scotland and i hardly ever see her, even though i adore her and she brought sunshine to my life. But i know shes happy and fulfilled and i have adjusted to the new circumstances. Its not that different really. My husband and the daughter i lost are just somewhere where i cant get in touch. I have adjusted to the new circumstances, even though the process was of course extremely painful. But the love is still there. Its a love that allows them to be elsewhere, not a love that needs anything from them. That’s the part of attachment that is tricky: you have to ask yourself what you were getting from that person or pet, that you are finding hard to live without. If you can just love them and appreciate who they are/were, and allow them to be free - whether that’s in Scotland or on the other side of the veil - things become much easier, gentler, and accepting. Good luck ❤

    • @Jubalyre
      @Jubalyre Місяць тому +6

      You could say that.
      That doesn't mean we don't have an identity though. Our identity is realized when we completely dwell in the present moment. Jesus said "Before Abraham was born, I AM", not "Before Abraham was born, I EXISTED." He realized his true identity in the now. There was never a time. Now, as the Holy Spirit dwells within us, we can also realize our true self.
      That's about as far as I can go in the Christian-friendly terms.

    We are all so conditioned that is why we are confused I feel my art has pulled me through some dark times and some of the paintings seem to come from the collective as I don't seem to have a plan when painting so do we just accept thats no longer our journey if we are caught up in some other belief system do we absorb or manage our thoughts so we don't get pulled into what does not serve us on an emotional or spiritual level ..I feel I am n over thinker who tried too hard to do the right thing and only to find years later I furious at myself when I see my human flaws are affecting others and then of course myself ..the fear and the feeling of getting it wrong ..then.. right .then wrong ..then that killer ..shame, could this all be some people try too hard and some just don't care , some sit on the fence and some dance in the shadows , Eckhart seemed to go through his over thinking phase but managed to come through ..I am just hanging on in here trying to let it happen organically but I have to say its like walking on a tightrope .with those tiny moments of calm where I allow myself to just ...Breath .

I don't paint, I sing...well, used to sing because I've had to put that on hold for almost a year now because of health voice issues. Singing has always helped me through tough times and brought joy to me and others. But now I feel so confused because I wonder how much of it was ego-driven and is life sending me a message or what?? I am trying not to be attached but some days I have trouble accepting what is...and yes, I do feel like I've lost a part of myself.

    Everything good comes from God (James 1:17):
    Even Jesus said “none is good, but one that is God.” But why did Jesus say this? It is because the power and spirit inside Jesus is not his own, but the Father’s (John 14:10). In 1 John 4:8, when we love God and our neighbor as Jesus did, the love we have still belongs to God because He IS love. When we are linked with Jesus who has God’s glory living in him, we are glorified and share in God’s glory together (Romans 8:17), still the glory belongs to God alone (Isaiah 42:8, Isaiah 48:11). If we share the words of God just as Jesus does, we will have his words but the words are still from God . When we do the will of God, just as Jesus does, the will we do is still God’s will (John 6:38). When we cease from our own works and live to finish the works of God and we say “it is finished,” just as Jesus did, it is still the works of God that is finished (John 4:34). God never gives anything away; He shares it, for all live unto Him (Luke 20:38). Amen.

      There is only one god. God has no child. Jesus (peace be upon him) is a prophet.

      @@mina__5750I think the label of "Son of God" attributed to Jesus Christ has more to do with God entering us as Christ (when he proved his Christ-ness after he resurrected) and living his perfect life through each of us who accept him into our spirit. The part where Christ mingles with our Spirit isn't given enough attention imo.

    Let me break this down as I see it, logically.
    quote; " but thats another story'. Thats all it is, just stories, just stories to fit a narrative, the art of telling stories. One can spin it any way they like at the beginning to make it fit at the end, the real purpose what one was getting to.
    Your lineage inception was initially FORMED not BORN. Your FORM source elements are in a symbiotic relationship with your BORN which is the biology of your Being. You are a whole, as one, symbiotically. Your FORM can say it has a BODY. Your FORM conditions your physical brain of it's FORM presence within imprinted knowledge for the FORM survival and to Evolve it's host the physical BORN body and it's been doing that for aeons, after all, how do you think your lineage has come thus far.
    Your Form and its imprinted knowledge does not require external SUPERFICIAL beliefs from so called teachers and guru's to guide your lineage. They will be dead and gone, but your lineage FORM source will continue, thats if you continue your reproductive aspect. Your FORM source has the CANNY aspect to know who to breed with, with the opposite gender.
    No need to have gratitude nor appreciate your FORM nor your BORN for something the elements of the Universe has imposed as a gift of reality. ie the Universe is your gift. Whats the old saying every child says, " I didn't ask to be BORN". Basically you are attached to everything, enjoy it all in all forms and move on because you will always be good at your next venture.

    Interesting how canned laughter has been added, still humorous without it though.

    10:13 THAT'S THE IDENTITY. The identity is your talent, skill, artistic professions, maybe even lower kinds of professions, that involve professionalism: mental ability, knowledge, know-how, and in addition to that - your personal tastes, likes, your favorite things, especially in the sphere of art, plus the people you love: THIS IS YOUR IDENTITY. He is COMPLETELY WRONG here, this Buddhist-like philosophy is thoroughly wrong in this aspect.
