12 disciples were people just like me with similar challenges, personality’s, T.E.A, which means I am able to live closer to the Bible / Yahshua.

I loved the way you pointed out the fact that they didn’t have the Bible to explain it all .What they knew in their hearts was having a hard time grasping in their minds I suppose. I always felt that they were so blessed to be able to sit with Him, be with Him daily! Learn from God Himself! These 12 disciples suffered the most for Jesus!! That’s when I’m grateful God saved me for the last days😁😁!!
I loved learning about a “true Jew”. Thats what I’m going to think of when I want to explain the difference to people the difference between truly born again Christians and pew warmers. Or the difference between religion and man made rules such as Catholicism or Mormonism…❤️love you Pastor Allen and your lovely wife too❣️

I'm convinced i was awakened by the Holy Spirit to hear this message. It's 2:18 in the morning. I need to give up some things for the sake of my life in Christ. I understand now why I've been feeling stagnant in my walk.
Thank you Lord for truth, even in the middle of the night when i fell asleep with my phone on.

Then you’re like me , I’m not alone doing this , whenever I woke up at night or early mornings I put my UA-cam on with bible study and I listen and learn , I think the HS is doing this because at night it’s quiet in the house and in my heart and I can understand better the bible, also I pray and God gives me dreams or I could feel His presence with me !

    • @bassmanjr100
      @bassmanjr100 7 місяців тому +5

Peter and Andrew probably had a family business, as did James and John. Matthew also would have been wealthy. Not sure about the rest. There are indications all through the gospels that the disciples had money or benefactors. Unfortunately, certain modern ideologies idolize the poor and demonize those that have some wealth. That is not Biblical. It is the LOVE of money that is the root of evil, not money itself. Someone can be poor and love money. Another can be wealthy and give it away generously.

This is the 2'nd time I heard this guy & the first time I've listened to a whole video of his, I'm impressed, I've now got answers to awkward questions, like - for just one of many - "how come your Jesus rose after 3 days -& 3 nights, when Good Friday blah blah Sunday does not = 3 ?" , my previous answer to that was not exactly correct, involving "watch" periods & when the new day actually started, it didn't make sense to myself who concocted it & this guy cleared that one up quickly in plain-speak. I shall certainly subscibe & not just for that one e.g. He's a keen eitt, sharp mind & seems to have the bible written in his heart

Your clear and concise handling scripture continues to open my eyes to what is written in scripture. You have helped me put together the puzzle of scripture as written instead of relying on man’s traditions. Thank you and Thank God for this medium so I could connect to your wisdom to help me with this.

One of the vital things that a much deeper love of the Lord brings in our walk is a deeper love for our fellow man.
This is an important thing for a hard-hearted man like myself. It's a journey though, and a wonderful prize for those who finish the race.

I know that song and it brought before me my childhood in church where we sang these songs with gladness and innocent and we grow up and acquire knowledge of good and evil and we partake in the acts of sin and are left confused that we have ate of the fruit of good and evil and shy from God . Naked so we hide but God will cloth us and and varnish our sin and we shall be confident again before Him who became as we and died (Christ Jesus ) . Thank you Jesus our Christ for salvation for I do not know how I can defend myself before the throne until I heard the gospel that I'm forgiven and will be taught righteousness and we be right and perfect as He is .

Three questions I should ask myself when studying/reading the Word of God _ the Bible:
•Is there a command to follow?
•Is there an example I should follow?
    •Is a principle I should live by?
    - - - - -
God loves everyone _ but He is passionate towards those who are passionate towards Him.

You expressed many take aways to me. I made notes. I love learning & hearing the many lessons in the Bible & how you break it down so my contemporary mind understands. The couple of things that stuck with me is that the 12 Disciples were very wealthy people with political influence similar to our upper top 5 or 10 percent in to today's society. Also, somehow I previously missed the fact that Jesus had 500 or more, every day average people as "followers" were also considered "disciples." What was completely new to me was that women had an opportunity to handle money & made donations to help fund Jesus' ministry. I thought women were complete chatel in a Patriarch society. Also the definitions of disciple, & omnipresent, "anywhere at any time not at one time." May God keep you & bless you & yours. TY for posting.

When Pastor Nolan mentioned that 'God is passionate about those whom are passionate about Him', it made me think that God is reactionary. There are some verses that also made me feel as such. I personally feel as if that is a rather natural thing but I've seen others referred to such thing negatively. But it just makes sense and even falls fundamentally along 'you should treat others the way you yourself would like to be treated'

Pastor Allen I use your material and listen to most your sermons. Long winded but most definitely thorough and love you and your knowledge.

I think long winded (of tedious length) is unfair to Pastor Nolan. There is not one word of what he preaches and teaches that is superfluous, boring or unnecessary imo. I wish I had half the ability to retain the information he does.

Wow, ok, I did not know that this was coming. This is 4 hours long and I would be sleep by now for work. I say thank you FATHER this is Tuesday afternoon, which is my Friday. I guess sleep is out of the question. No, I have never heard that song. I love silence. For me it is the time to be with GOD. And if you don't believe GOD will talk to you? Like Allen Nolan said. Time alone with GOD in private. Now please forgive me, but when I type this. I did not know that Allen Nolan was going to say this. I typed this at 10:20 in the video. I was really shocked.

Grace and Peace. Appreciate your relational dissection of the disciples.
For bringing me into their lives. I’m so thankful that you Spiros Zoriates Chuck Smith and a few others have rightly divided the word of truth, to bring life vision and wisdom as well as understanding to my soul. Happy to support your ministry. Hug you later, or in the air. You’ve been a much needed blessing to me and certainly many. In forgiven relationship , William Griffin.

Usually when it says Mont Noble or mightier called, it’s usually true most geniuses and really people that are very smart and everything usually end up being part of the world Voice, but with Alan it didn’t happen here’s someone who’s obviously a genius and knows what he’s talking about in my 30 years of knowing the Lord I’ve heard a lot of preachers, so I’m good some bad let me tell you Alan Nolan Stands alone and I don’t mean to say that popping up his head, but is the truth I’m pretty good at discerning good and bad preachers he’s excellent teaching you don’t even need to go to school or Bible college and nothing that all you need is no his channel and set faithfully before himand you learn as simple as that I pray for him every night. I’m so grateful to you Alan I’m gonna ask you a few questions sometimes and I’ll look forward to meeting you someday God bless you and yours brother Jack from Indianapolis Indiana.

Please, Pastor Allen, explain what is meant by this experience: prayed for God to place me in a certain ministry; as I waited I thought I heard God say to me, “You will be here someday.” ; that was over 40 years ago but it never happened. I’ve clung to God’s promise for so long, through decades of serving Him in other ways while longing for Him to keep His promise; now I’m too old for it to ever happen, so I’m deeply disappointed that I was never placed in that ministry’s headquarters…..
I accept that I must have misunderstood what I thought was a promise from God….but I’ve lived a long time hoping and waiting and being ready to go where I believed He was calling me.
Please help me ….. I’ve lost the belief that God speaks to us now, and that we can hear Him speak to us today.
I’m 75; it’s too late for me to be placed where I thought God was going to place me.
I still love Him and love studying His word and love teaching His Word, but I am not able to solve my confusion about this area of prayer.
    Thank you.

The Bible's concept of love comes from the Father and fills up our heart. It doesn't come from our feelings. It fills us from a source external to us that is why I say it comes from the Father because the Father's nature is love. That's how we know it is Him in our heart when He comes from we don't know where and fills us up! It is love from heaven and not from within us.

That Gary Nolan video link I sent you on Job talks about this in that Job had to realize that even though he was righteous he still needed a mediator between himself and God. He had to realize only God’s grace was sufficient because of sin nature.

Whenever you read your bible, ask these three questions:
    i) is there a command I should obey?
ii) is there an example I should follow?
iii) is there a principle I should follow?
