Damn the Bad luck! Great episode though!
I'm so grateful to have discovered this channel! 🪴💚🤸🏾
I feel like every plant person should have a Monstera! Even just the regular Monstera deliciosa. Such a beautiful genus! 🌱 Just love watching those leaves unfurl. 🥰
Totally agree! They are truly the plant that originally blew my mind and got me hardcore into tropical plants. A forever classic!
Plantpeople! Listen, this is so much work, time and love our Plantfriend did for us. Applause and a big thank you for giving us this fancy schmancy Video. This made my day and now I want to start a Google about some of these beautiful Monsteras.
Thank you, that’s so nice of you to say!
I used to feel silly for spending hours sitting in the floor at big box stores searching every leaf for variegation... until... someone in my local plant group found a highly variegated green on green for $45 and resold it for $2k!!🤑 It was minty and beautiful🥰
I went to Home Depot yesterday for some stuff and I looked at every single monstera leaf! Maybe one day…
I always look at the Monstera but it would have to be really variegated for me to bother. I can't get excited about a tiny mole of variagation!
Seed propagation causes a grex, the grex will have variable plants. You might even get new cultivars.
Oh my gosh! These are amazing! And that is so sweet of you to gift the Albo ♥️
Awesome video, I always love finding out about new plants! That's a beautiful albo cutting, btw. Thanks for always putting out such great content!
Awesome video! Thanks for putting all of this together.
Thank you~ for all the different types of monsters information that I can be able to understand without struggle❤
They are so beautiful~❤
Lots of Thanks and blessings ❤
Wonderful video. Thanks for introducing me to the variety within the world of monstera.
So many mosnteras that i'll never own lol but wow! Awesome list! Def saw some new plants on there that i didnt even know about
Thanks, Kim! I had a blast researching them!
This is going to be an awesome series! I had no idea there were so many different varieties of Monstera Deliciosa. The Albo is a total wish list plant of mine and this one is stunning!! Your content is always amazing!
Thank you! Albo prices are coming down! Might be a good time to start looking again. I hope you find your plant!
Thanks for a great video and a chance to win that beautiful Albo!
Finally some clarity to all those amazing variegations ✨ 🤩
Omg that is so sweet of you to be doing such an amazing giveaway. These monstera are absolutely breathtaking.
Thank you! They were super fun to research too!
Great video as always. Monsteras are fabulous plants and there were so many in this video I hadn’t heard of yet. The albo is stunning 😍

This video is so interesting and informative!! Thank you for sharing this information about those rare monsteras!💚💚🪴
This is the stuff of dreams. Thank you for sharing it. That Monstera Albo at the end is stunning and that is so generous of you to offer one. 💚💚
So cool! So many varieties I didn’t know of😍😍
Thanks for your time and enthusiasm you have taken to create this informative VDO to us.
I’m so glad you liked it!
I can’t believe Monstera Oceana exists! Honestly had no clue and it’s breathtaking 😍😍😍
I had no idea there were so many different types of Thai constellation! Thank you so much for the video ✨
Thanks, Kelly! I think there’s another type out there that’s just got tons of heavy speckling on it… Enid has one like that she’s posted a few times, but it’s not really it’s own thing yet. Super cool!
Very cool video, I had no idea there were so many monstera varieties!
And a giveaway too? Wow! 🤯💜🌱
I do what I can to give the people what they want! Thank you so much for watching!
You always do such a great job sharing your love of plants with us, and I always love them!🥰
Great informative video! Love videos like this that I can learn from. Thanks!
Super informative!
Thank you!
She’s so perfect!
Great video on monstera Albo varieties😊 very informative as variegated monstera is my favourite species houseplant! love all your videos and usually watched them immediately on the very day! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and collection on UA-cam and Instagram! More video please😘
Wow! Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying!
That Monstera Thai constellation “Miracle” looks fancy. I haven’t seen one in person.
My love for Monsteras just grew a bit more 😍
My bank account won’t be so happy.
I love your collection and can't wait to see what new plants you add! The monstera is a classic and will always be my favorite :)
Love them all!
yay, how fun! :D Thanks for the vid! Looking forward to ur next vid!
Thank you so much!
Yay! Monstera Albo!
Hey Darylynn, great video, I am drooling over that Albo.
I think the coolest plant you shared today has to be the white monster. It is a biological mystery to me. I do not understand how a plant that looks that white can produce enough “food” through photosynthesis to sustain a large plant
100%!
That was a lot of information about Monstera Deliciosa....variety
I have one of the monstera aurea type .....and was educated about it's price.
Thank you for all the interesting information
Love the video!
Thank you!
It's really sad that the other species in the Monstera genus do not have any press or prestige from most people but are highly coveted by well-known collectors. For example, the Monstera Croatii is absolutely gorgeous and intricate, and ranges from 7-18k USD. The leaf shape of the Monstera Twintiza is extremely beautiful and unique. The monstera barrieri has a morphogenesis that is so unique and is absolutely breathtaking to witness. Hopefully one day you can have an episode for monsteras in general rather than deliciosa in particular :)
Hi Aiara! I totally feel ya on that! I heavily considered added the Burle Marx Flame to this list but it was already so long and I ended up having to leave some fancy deliciosa types of of this one. I already filmed one for adansonnii and so something like that for general monstera is something I would definitely love to get to, I just haven’t gotten to researching it yet. Those are some really great ones for me to look into though so thank you SO MUCH for letting me know! I hope to make this a series so keep the recommendations coming 🪴❤️
Its not sad lol wtf, people dont talk about plants that doesn’t know that exist. U think u are the smartest saying that weird names? I google them I didn’t found any info lol
@@neonice I have a standleyana aurea and my god I love it as much as my Thai Constellation or even my Alocasia Odora verigata.
@@neonice I think all north/South American monsteras get ignored by regular folks. The Peru and Barrieri are definitely sexy. 😀😍
Was scouring facebook the other day when I got curious to see what monstera noids are out there, and came across a post from an account called aroid project peru about a monstera noid they collected, AND IT LOOKED INSANE. The leaves were velvet, and the fenestrations of the mature leaf looked a bit like a pinnatipartita and a bit like a epipremnum pinnatum. It was visibly velvet based on the reflectiveness of the leaf, and the mature leaves had a cool bluish tinge to it (not sure if it's just the lighting though). According to the account, the mature leaves still kept the velvet texture. I fell in love with it immediately, and I thought "wow, this is definitely something the plant community would eat up had they known about this".
Great information.
I love your vids, totally obsessed! You know so much information on all these rare aroids, it's amazing! I learn more from you then any of these aroid FB groups lol. Thank you for sharing your collection with us! :)
Thank you so much! I try to put my obsessions with plants and useless factoids to good use!
Love it! Thanks!!!❤
Looking forward to more fancy plant videos! Also hope i win that gorgeous albo 😍
Best of luck and thank you for watching!
Very informative😍
Thank you!
Wow, there are so many more types that I hadn't seen before! I found a green on green sport that had contorted leaves, but haven't been able to get it to produce either in a stable way. I followed you on insta ;).
Thanks, girl! That sounds like a cool plant. Maybe just let it grow and see what happens?
This video is so awesome!
Thank you so much!
Oh I don't have a marbled one yet 😊 so pretty!
Waooo i did't know about all these variegated monstera is amazing thank u for giving us that amaIng information now i want all of them lol in my dream but i do great video 💚💚💚💚
Thanks, Jennifer!
Hey Jennifer! You won the giveaway! Please DM me on Instagram to coordinate shipping your prize ❤️🪴. Yes this is for real, I am lazy and haven’t edited the announce video yet and I want to get it shipped out before I do the next giveaway 🤪
Thank you soo muchhh u made my day i cant believe it 💙💙💙
The white monster is a crazy wishlist plant for me!!! Kunzo is like a magical wizard botanist hahaha and one day I can’t wait to purchase one of his creations! 😂🌱🤍💚
Hey, I have to say the Thai Con has been making a serious availability/affordability footprint recently with the amount of small and medium sized growers having successful tissue culture ventures.
True, but some of the plugs I’ve been seeing don’t look particularly robust imo… plus a LOT of posts asking how to transfer them out of the sealed bags with the medium… makes me wonder if it’s really worth it? Thais are so notorious for rotting I’m not so sure I’d take the chance
Just picked up a Burle Marx flame and must say that it’s the most I spent on a small cutting…. 😂😂🔥🔥
I never knew pretty much all of these plants existed!
Loved the info you gave in this video! Thanks so much for the chance to win!!
❤ this video!!!! 😊
Such stunning specimens! One can only dream. I hope you make this a series. Thanks so much for all the research and time you put into this. And it's a shame that some try to sell bad quality versions for the same asking price just to capitalize on the name.
Love it!
Imagine the monstera miracle really is in tissue culture production? A girl can dream lol
Haha! I know, right?
Thanks for a brilliant video!
Thank you!
As always I've owatched from beggining to the end
Thank you for the video and the giveaway!
Thank you for watching!
I am subscribed-) I love plants - I just wish I had more space/better sun situation in my house :-) love your videos - thank you!
It happened. Thai Constellations are available at Kroger for $30.
I’ve been seeing the posts! We all knew it was coming though eventually. Very cool for anyone who waited for the price drop.
So many wishlist plants here, but they will remain wishlist plants until/if/when the prices go down!
I have a friend who has been a collector of tropical plants for over 60 years. He has one he says is called Monstera deliciosa "Cheesecake". It has beautiful more yellow variegation like what is referred to now more as aurea or like what you have as "Eva". I think names sometimes change.
P.S. you are very generous to give away that beautiful plant! I don't do IG, but I wish all of the rest of you good luck!
'Esteemed Plant Master' Down the Street. I mean it. I'm in Canada and not on Instagram so it's not about the giveaway.
Thank you for saying that!
Nice! Thank you for the list and insight, maybe you want to add Monstera Super Orange and Monstera Yellow Marilyn Kunzo to your list. I'm still struggling to get this two speciment
Thank you! This list is definitely a little outdated these days, I had never even heard of those two types back when I made this but I will definitely have to look up the super orange! I found out about yellow Marilyn right after this was posted unfortunately. TYSM for sharing! I love learning about new plants
Interestingly the Thai Constellation is in Dutch garden centres for 75 euros now! They have quite big leaves then, around the size of the small form deliciosa. Also real obliqua 'Peru' are sold for 15 euros here!
Things have changed so much so fast it’s wild!
I need all of the monstera 🤣
Yes! Same!
I was going to say I'd sell my kidney for a Thai Constellation Miracle but I guess that wouldn't even nearly cover the price it's going for. well then 😅 I hope it's going to be obliqua'd in a few years time.
Even if you had the money… I don’t think it would be possible to even find one for sale 😭
Great video! I didn't know there were so many Monstera types. Thank you for showing us these beauties!
Thank the plant gods above that we don’t have to hear about the $99 Costa Thai Con fake news anymore!! 😆So glad I bought mine three years ago! Such a slow grower!
Hahaha, fake news, conspiracy, plant myth, legend lol always sounded too good to be true!
Another great video! 🥰 Will make sure to spread the word about Costa Farms Thai Constellation Miracle coming 2024. 🤣
Haha! If only! We can all dream though 🪴❤️
Girl I'm going to have go and find myself some artificial monstera plants and some paints in order to have some budget friendly monster or miracles 🤣🤣
That’s just about the only way to make some of these affordable 😭
Not sure if the albo giveaway has ended but I’d love to take part in it or future give sways!! Love your channel so much 💗
Thanks! Giveaway is still ongoing! I haven’t had time to film an announcement so the winner is still yet to be picked! Thanks for watching!
Green on green is my least favorite, you're so smart thank you for the valuable info
Ahh so many good ones. One day when I hit the lottery….
Hey will u be doing a video on the monstera devil@ balbusaur, i think they are some of the fasciest monsteras… will i be elidgible for the albo u are giving away for those who watched till the endz?
I don’t really post long form content anymore but I’ve seen the bulbasaur and it’s really cute. This video is almost 2 years old so that giveaway closed a long time ago unfortunately.
Omg she is SO STUNNING! I’m so glad I found your channel- this was super informative, I hadn’t heard of most of these monsteras and that’s a shame bc they’re my favorites!
Same! It took so much digging to find a lot of them but it’s literally so much fun to share them! Glad to have you!
Happy watching this, I found out I have a Monstera Thai constellation yellow star.
Ooooo lucky you!
I missed this one, but hopefully there is another. Thanks for the information in this video ;)
Fancy philodendron is up now and more are in the works! Thank you so much for watching 🪴❤️
Waiting for Ecuagenera to drop the Monstera Miracle…😂 Awesome vid!
Haha I’ll talk to Ivan about it 🤣
I love how there's been an influx of cheaper baby thai constellations in the USA.
So true! I’ve been seeing a lot of them being offered but I am way too sketched out to pay like $100 for something that looks like I could breathe on it wrong and it would die. They are so so so so so vulnerable to rot. Not sure I could take the emotional roller coaster!
Monstera gang wishful thinking in my dreams that I can have it all.🤦♀️
I’m right there with you 😭
There still seems to be some speculation about if the Oceana has a virus - any idea on this?
Yeah, so the guy who has the plant claims that he’s had it tested and that any plants sold will come with confirmation of that and the IAS has accepted it as a cultivar so I’d say there’s a pretty good chance it’s a genuine sport. I guess you can never know for sure though. I’m not about to shell out the money so I guess it doesn’t make a difference to me but from what I know it seems like the effort has been made to provide assurances.
I just got lucky to able to afford this monstera mint ,got it not so long ago
I saw some prices recently that were sooooo tempting but I don’t have anywhere to put any more large plants.
That's SO cool that you're giving that albo away! It's STUNNING! I love the more mixed, mottled variegation that it has!💚💚
It’s one of my favorites and I went back and forth on actually going through with it but I gotta start rehoming some of these plants, 🤣!
I had no idea there were so many varieties of Monstera Deliciosa. I can’t wait for the next video in this series so I can see what other amazing plants I’ve been missing out on this whole time! 😂 Thanks for the great content. Your videos are so informative and still really entertaining!
Thank you, Amber! I’m excited too! It’s going to be coming soon, I’ve got one filmed 🪴❤️
I have a Thai and Albo Monstera. Wish I could have them all 💰
Same. Space is an issue for me. Also budget.
Thanks for the video! I am sucker for anything mint
Same! I love my mint adansonnii but I want that NOID so bad it makes my teeth hurt 😫
I laughed so hard when you were making fun of Costa Farms. Looking forward to more of this series!!!
Haha! I mean… it’s true though!!! That would be such a shit show omg 😱
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet totally!
I'd love to be the winner. Love those plants.
Another great video…as usual. Some of those are gorgeous, but still makes my jaw drop at the prices. My small-ish Albo was a big enough dent for me, that I can’t imagine spending more. But I’ll continue staring at them on my phone lol
Dani sent me! This has been on my wishlist for a few years now.😍🤞🏽
Welcome!
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet Thank you so much! Glad to be here, and learn about Monsteras that I had no idea existed. Thanks for a great video. Very informative!👌🏽
Wowzer! The give away plant is sooooo beautiful! Thank you for a very educational episode of monsteras. I’ve learned so much about them especially the story behind “white monster” monstera. I grew up surrounded by plants all over my room when i was a kid and now i have approximately 100 plants in my little condo. I don’t see myself living without plants ever! Thank you for another great video 🤗
Fantastic list... love this kind of "wishlist inspiration" video from time to time, makes for a nice change of pace. Now I need to get my hands on one of those Mint NOIDs... just what I needed, my list is already long enough, lol. 😮
Seriously, I have been after one for so long! But the price just keeps going up 😫
Awesome video! Lots of wonderful information about monsteras. I'd love to see some upcoming popular houseplants or unusual unique plants some people haven't seen or heard of.
Thanks for another well researched video! 👍💞 I appreciate you putting this in date context, too. Such good points that things may change as time goes on and that plants are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them. I'm bummed that this affects accessibility, but that's why plant friends are so great to have. 🌿
Dani sent me!
Welcome!
I'm not a big var monstera person, and this was way more interesting than I expected. There are some real jaw droppers on this list! Beautiful cutting... 🤞😁🤞
already subscribed! beautiful plant 🪴!
Thank you, Beth!
Hi Dani thanks for all the great informative videos. I look forward to your videos every Tuesday and Friday.
I absolutely love Monstera’s! I only have one so far but I hope to have a collection of them in a few years. They’re truly such beautiful plants.
I’m still on the hunt for a big box store sport variegate but no such luck yet.
I’m convinced that some of these stores have savvy employees snatching them up because I’ve never found one anyone except Trader Joe’s.
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet I have had the same suspicion for a while now, though it gives me like insider trading type vibes. 😂
