What Miyazaki Hayao is to art, Kunzo is to plants. He has so much wisdom and craftsmanship, it's incredible. And you can not only feel his passion in everything he does, his passion is also very infectious and inspiring.
"It's extremely rare to secure an interview with Kunzo Sensei, and capturing a vlog at their place was a special opportunity. I feel incredible and you are fortunate, and i know this video is going to hit a million views." And by the way I'm living here in 🇯🇵 and im 🇵🇭
I’m barely starting the video, but I just wanted to say , that it is awesome that you honor your family with your appreciation for them, right in the beginning of the video and your sister is awesome for supporting you and helping as well. 😊
Thank you, I was fortunate to have a family like this. We went through lots of ups and downs, especially in these few years. But in the end we are always there for each other. ❤️ I hope most of my viewers experience love and support from their loved ones too.
You have an amazing family, Sean! As a linguist, I'm awed at the multilingual prowess of the fam! And that intro by the master himself!.OMG, listening to it made me feel like I was all of a sudden wearing a kimono and kneeling in front of him as he preached! So spiritual and precious! ❤
I really enjoyed this video. He has a great sense of humor. I really liked the variegated ponytail palm, the Devil succulent, and the snowflake bromeliad. For the subtitles - thank you to your sister.
It brought tears to my eyes how appreciative you are of being there with Mr. Kunzo, and having the opportunities to learn from the master along with your family members. Mr. Kunzo is truly an icon in the plant community with his idealism of harmony between humans and nature. Im in awe every second of this video!
Man...I can literally move one step and talk with him for hours, another step another hours. So many plant that I don't know about. Amazing collections Mr. Kunzo 🤯
ありがとう ございます Kunzo-san and Sean. Thank you for the tour. Just wow. すごい.... I wonder if I could reach and garden at that age? Haha... The view and collection is 🤩
Mr Kunzo is an amazing human being..he is a gift to us . his passion and love of plants is so infectious and very inspiring. Thanks Sean for taking us there.
Such a privilege to be there, and to be walked by the legend-master of botanical art! 🌱 Amazing video thank you for sharing those beauties with us that’s definitely once in a lifetime experience!
You could have let this video be uploaded with NO editing!!! KUNZO is MAGIC!! I could watch him talk about his plants for hours!!! Thank you thank you for shoring this experience with us!!
I enjoyed the video and the gentleman featured in it. He has a beautiful greenhouse filled with stunning and rare plants. The Japanese are masters at managing space and turning everything into a work of art. I believe that, in addition to the plants, the greenhouse itself has a certain charm. Even the small details, like the metal steps with holes and the plastic tags with attached paper for labeling the plants, have their own appeal
What a lovely human being he is, Sean. Thank you for sharing this video. Without you, many of us probably would never even have heard of Mr Kunzo. He reminds me of my father, showing off his garden when I visit him 😂
Thanks for sharing this tour with us Sean! I'm newly a greenhouse builder (but also horticulturist) and I've never seen such densely packed greenhouses as Kunzo-san's! The selection is a lot wider than I would have expected, I love that it's not only ''big hype'' aroids like you see in most new nurseries, these are truly plants that he enjoys and that he wants to keep in circulation. The man even has 30 different P. verrucosum varieties, amazing! People in Asia are very fortunate to be able to grow all of these plants beautifully, I live in Canada and the winter is so cold here that a lot of companies close their greenhouses for a few months because it's too expensive to heat! So we can't keep such extensive collections alive all year-long.
: O : O : O : O : O !!!! Wooooooow, what an absolute treat!!! My eyes and ears have been glued to the screen from moment one! Golden ticket is right! And I love the relaxed and jokey vibe you guys have with such a legend!! I am so grateful to be a fly on the wall for this incredible presentation. That variegated pine? I didn't realize those existed! Can't wait for the next parts!!! Thank you Sean, so much for your glorious vids!!! ^^
This is the best video I’ve ever seen in my life! Thank you so much Mr. Shaun for sharing! You’re the best! Much gratitude to you Mr. Kunzo san for being an inspiration to the world and sharing your passion with us! If everyone were more like you the would be a better place! I will adopt your mission to share plants with as many people as I can!! 🙏Arigatō
This was next-level. Incredible video, Sean. What an amazing collection Mr Kunzo has - seeing it first-hand must have been quite something. I look forward to the next two in the series!
Bromeliads are such nice plants, don't know why they aren't more popular. The Aechmea orlandiana he showed comes in many different colorways, from white to black.
This was incredible to watch, seeing such a master at his craft - thanks for taking us along with you! I've been a silent watcher for a while, but just wanted to say I love your content, and I've been especially enjoying these recent videos you've been doing, like the series with Pak Chandra and now this one with Kunzo - I love that it's almost a bit of an interview and that we get to hear these living legends tell stories about their plants and their journey into this world. It's honestly so fascinating, so thank you for doing what you do!
Thank you for sharing this inspiring video. This man has such good energy and watching him enjoy his plants makes me feel at peace. Enjoyed this very much ✨💚🪴
Sean thx so much variety of plants that's what paradise will resemble very nice this tour take my breath away really enjoyed it thx so much, but one thing we have to give praise and credit to making of all of this he really loves mankind we lack nothing earth is a gem much love to all plan lovers. ❤❤❤
The video the world has been waiting for! I absolutely love Kunzo's philosophy, sense of humor and the super cool names that were created. You guys had great chemistry for sure!! My favorite was the Premium Gold, wow!! Thank you for sharing your journey, absolutely EPIC!!
This is sooo wonderful! I'm so happy you and your family were able to have this amazing experience. It is such a beautiful, magical place, and he seems like an incredible man! Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us. 🙏💚
Wow! what an amazing collections of plants. The Philodendron Persimmon Princess is so beautiful, my first time to see such and also the variegated pine.....beautiful.
He has so much experience and knowledge across so many genesis of plants! I would love to pick his brain about places he’s traveled and seen that nobody else will probably ever get to experience! Someone needs to give this plant master a opportunity for a book deal to help spread the knowledge in the community! I would buy it literally tomorrow! Thank you for using your channel and giving people like this the opportunity to share and reach others like us! I truly value this! 🫶🏼🙂🌱🪴
I wanted to know what he "really" wanted to do when he was younger and how he handles pests. I would think there would be lots of fungus knats at least. What does he do to control all pests? Grateful to be able to visit.
This was a great video. Amazing man & so knowledgeable..I couldn't look away from the screen so many plants to see. Well done Sean.. it must of been such an honour to meet him. Love your videos & thanks for sharing 😊

Thank you ❤️
Bromeliads are such nice plants, don't know why they aren't more popular. The Aechmea orlandiana he showed comes in many different colorways, from white to black.
I think so too! But I feel their care is often misunderstood and they might not do so well in a persons living room etc…

I am Indonesian. I just found out that my country has many rare plants. I often find some of those plants around my house. I live around mountains and forests. I didn't know that those were rare plants.
Its a good idea to identify them, and if they are rare try to get them described and conserve a few (but not to the point of poaching) 😀
Mr Kunzo to Sean- san : 'Close eye.
Trust...Concentrate.
Think... only plants.
Make a perfect picture down to the last plant.
Wipe mind clean... everything but plants.
Nothing exists.... only plants.
