Your Thai Constellation is pure goals, what a beauty. Regarding worrying about low temperatures with tropical plants I worried like hell last year and bought loads of heat mats to get them through the winter. This year because of the costs of gas and electricity I have not been using the heat mats but can I just say all my tropicals have survived temperatures of 13 degrees Centigrade/ 10 degrees Fahrenheit with no problems at all. Plants are just so much more resilient than we realise. All my props are in plastic storage boxes and still growing in these lower temperatures. I think because I live in the UK and purchased everything young and from the UK only they have adapted better. It has given me a totally different perspective and have realised I don't need to baby them as much. Even my Alocasias are giving me new leaves. The only thing I have done is group plants together and give them more light with growlights. Also because we are having to be selective with putting the heating on the temperatures have been fluctuating between 13 and 22 degrees Centigrade and even the wild fluctuations haven't affected them.
I'm convinced your apt is the phantom zone because you said it's only like 900 sq ft but it can fit like 10+ Thai Constellations + all your other plants?? What is this magic lol I love these seeing these progress videos though, we get to learn from your trial and error!
You have truly succeeded at mastering this plant. Those are the biggest ones I have seen. I just bought 4 babies at $45. each and can't wait to see what they do. Also found one from Costa Farms at my local Walmart for $30.
Your video made me feel a lot better because I’ve had my Thai Constellation for about eight months and recently she started yellowing. Like you, I also had her in a terracotta pot with very chunky soil that I was only watering every couple weeks because I waited for it to be bone-dry. I was also terrified of root rot. But now no one can explain why the leaves are getting pale green, bordering on yellow, when everything else (light, humidity, etc.) is the same as it’s always been. I recently repotted her in a clear plastic pot with air vents in the sides so that I could see the roots and also so they could breathe. She’s still in a very chunky mix (I followed Sydney Plant Guy’s recipe) and even though I see some slight condensation inside the pot, I think she needs to be watered. I’m hoping I can get over the fear of overwatering and make her happier. She’s only put out one leaf since I got her and I’m assuming it’s because she’s not had enough water and nutrients to make more. 😢
Sounds like low nutrient stress (especially if it is the oldest leaves going yellow at the edges, plants will pull nutrients from their oldest leaves to support ne growth if they aren't getting enough) and not enough water but hard to say without seeing the plant, I know this is an old comment now and hopefully the issue has resolved at this point but if you are still having issues then definitely do some reading/watching on signs of low nutrients. Also worth noting that root rot is actually caused by lack of oxygen rather than water (if we want to get really technical it is actually how this effects the balance of microbes in your soil mix which is why straight water doesn't cause root rot for propagations) that's why we use such chunky well draining mixes for aroids but they still love a LOT of water you can really drown them as long as you have enough drainage for air pockets to return quickly and they love it. Don't get discouraged it sounds like you are on the right track and you can always propagate the top if root rot does happen- one of my early monstera went south ages ago but I still have all the biggest leaves alive and well nearly half a year later- they are dormant because I don't have the space anymore to grow them out and still have them in water but it is a super easy low stress way to buy yourself more time with plants you can't figure out and don't want to loose. "Gardening in Canada" (soil scientist youtuber) has a fantastic and very comprehensive video about root rot that dispels a lot of the myths and bad info that is rampant in the overall plant community- really helped me get over my fears of overwatering. I mean I did kill a couple propagations shortly after watching it the first time but rewatched it and realized that was on me for messing up my mix and not having enough drainage, failure is a natural part of learning! Hope that helps!
I’ve been a bit frightened of root rot too so I have been doing bottom watering. I’m also using a cheap soldering iron to make holes in the sides of their nursery pots. All good 👍
Bottom water it and see how it does. I understand the stress of this plant. I almost cried when my first one rotted because I moved my plant from PON to cocopeat after the roots went nuts!
I got a "b grade" one for 40€ and she's literally perfect and full and HUGE Dunno what's supposed to be b grade about her, honestly. It must be that she grew away from her pot, but... they all do that? T: Can't wait to take cuttings and ruin the market by just giving them away
I know it’s been almost a year from this video and I’m just now watching because I’m new to your channel but, this has given me so much hope for mine. I just bought my first at Walmart. Retail price $49 but I got mine for $10 🤭🤭 it was on sale big time. I regret for not buying the other one but, I didn’t know how to grow it because I’ve heard these are one of those special plant that needs a lot of care. It’s been a month and I haven’t changed the soil at all because I’m scared lol but it has 3 new babies coming out. I’ll wait for those to fully grow that way I can do the repot process. Wish me luck 😂 I love your plants. I hope you have much more success with all and all to come. Thanks for sharing your tips and videos.
I just bought one online last week for 145 plus shipping ($204CAD total) and it shipped today, I cannot wait until it gets here 🥰🥰🥰 they had ones on House of Monstera that ranged from like 125 to 200 for the plants, I chose a beautiful one In the middle of the cost range 😅
This video was published on my birthday 🎉🪴lol which makes me even more grateful for it! Your content is superb with great info on the plant life and Thai Con Monstera🙏 🙌🌿
They say the Thai constellation is a very slow grower….I think this disproves that lol. Wow so gorgeous!!!! Mine is a baby, put it in pon and the roots just exploded! So I’m hoping I can do what you’ve done here…amazing!
I’m a new follower I’ve only seen a few of your videos but I absolutely love you. I truly appreciate how thorough you are and how you explain everything. I can’t wait to watch more of your content thank you for all of the knowledge you share 🙌🏽
Love your videos and swear by your nutrient solution for my Thai Con. It’s growing massively and I was wondering what items you use for large monsteras in LECA? It looks like you have them in either 3 or 5 gallon buckets. I’ve been having a hard time finding large enough net pots for the buckets. I was also wondering your system for adding support to large monsteras etc. Thanks!
Love your Thai constellation!! So so pretty!! I got myself one just like what you started with. Can you do a video on how you started it in leca and the whole process with supplies step by step? Would be so helpful and many would benefit from it. I would love to grow mine as big as yours.
Thanks for sharing, shes gorgeous! I just picked up a decent sized plant with 4 leaves the other day for $40 and Im sooo stoked on it. Cant wait to watch her grow
Amazing, amazing job with ALL of them! Believe it or not, but I’ve find my Thai cons to be the easiest of my monstera genre. Even more than the regular monstera. I just love Thai cons, and yours are just blowing me away, good job!

Watching this very informative video near my Thai constellation monstera so she could get her goals set in place 😁. Your Thai constellation is definetely a beauty 😍
Listening to this and hearing how much you paid. It’s crazy to think that I bought mine from H-E-B for $30. A bit larger than yours. The price has definitely went down.
Excellent video! I've never been inspired to get a thai con as much as in this video! And I love how you are encouraging people to be adventurous and try new things! Love you Kevin 💚
monstera thai con and monstera albo are my absolute favorite!! i was wondering about the leafes curling in.. do you think its because of lower humidity? mine does that but when the thai first came in the leafes were pretty straight but i assume it was because it was grown in a greenhouse?
Hello, I love the video and got my first Thai Constellations this week. I know the little paper pack hanging on your plants are "healthy bugs", can you share the brand and where to get them?
I just came across your video. I have a Thai that was actually doing good. I got it with two leafs . She had six just a month ago. Than I got side tracked with family, and everyday life. So I left her to long without changing the water, she got root rot, and now no roots. She has only two leafs again. So your video gives me hope. I'm hoping that I can get her to come back and root well. I

Also, that's what I love about your videos! I love to experiment & propagate my plants! Watching you always gave me courage to just try!
Hi Kev, great video, enjoyed your Thai constellation in varies stages of her life with you! They grow very well for you. I used to have one 2hich I bought in 2o18 as a seedling, and grew well but had two times root rot and I had to save it. The third or last time unfortunately she got stem rot and rapidly in few days died! I wish I could buy one of yours but I'm in Europe so no chance. Looking forward to the complete care tip video and thanks for sharing 👍.
I enjoyed watching this video and the steps you took in learning hydroponics. I’m still learning this method and just not much luck. Is it possible I put too much water in the basin? I get roots that grow and then rot it seems. I get a plant that just sits there and does nothing. I always learn something from you.
Oh that's so interesting Tina 🤔 I tend to link everything to light so maybe it needs more? I tend to put less water in the reservoir as the plants roots grow longer but a lot are still touching the water
OH MY. Must be among the most beautiful plants I've ever seen. Really appreciate how much care you've given them, and they've certainly given back to you. Unfortunately it's not available in my country (deliciosa is) I googled and found the Thai constellation can be grown from seed, but you won't get the variegation, is that true? Thanks!
Kevin, when you do the Thai constellation video can you please link wherever you bought the pot for the largest thai constellation is sold? I have a monstera large form that currently lives upstairs in my bedroom. The pot is too small and the leaves are too big so I'm going to be chopping it and propping it. This will be my first time trying leca but the aerial roots have grown into the acarpet so I don't get the feeling it's going to be a rough transition
Wow thank you for making this video! Your plant is a beauty, and you are hilarious!! @4:10 🤣 omg 💀I also had to rewind a few times because I was cracking up like when you saw the sleeve of your sweater in an old photo and I could tell you where thinking "where is that sweater?!?" can relate! 🤣 Subscribed! 👍☺
WOW!! So Beautiful ❤️😍 You did a amazing job!!!! I just bought 2 little baby's I hope that someday mine looks like your's!!! I'm not comfortable at all with lecca though, I do try but everything I try to put in lecca dies and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I love your videos. Goals! I just got my first Thai baby. The only thing I am curious is what is your apartment temperature in the winter? do you turn on your AC in the summer?
What a size up! And it's crazy to think that it can get even bigger O_O I really want my Thai Con to get this big but at the same time, always thinking about what if it does and how will it fit XD
Where do you find those large clear containers? How often do you water your Thai in aroid mix? Mine rot like crazy as soon as they go into a aroid mix.

I love you so much! You are just such a joy to watch! I was laughing out loud when you were showing the videos of you trying to pick her up to show us! You are a riot!! love it!
Also, that's what I love about your videos! I love to experiment & propagate my plants! Watching you always gave me courage to just try!
THis is SUPER helpful. Thanks for sharing!❤
No problem Marlene 😊💚
You guys bawl in f my eyes out I just got my MTC for $30 I got 2 be patience for those waiting the wait is worth it.
Do you have a video showing how you prep the water with the fertilizers? 6:31
Aw I'm so sorry to hear that Mary! I hope you can get one soon! 💚 Yeah I hear it's common for Thais to get root rot
Thanks!
Wow, that's a big plant. 😄 If mine ever grows that huge I might have to kick out all other plants 😆
Really love this video. Can't wait to see the next video on the care guide. Inspiring💜💜💜💜
🎉🎉🎉 but where are we finding pots big enough lol I’m looking for a leca setup big enough for a GIGANTIC monstera
So many beautiful Thais! Can’t wait until my little baby grows larger. I’m hoping to move her to pon soon 🫣 hoping it goes well…
You and your plants... wonderful
Haha aww thanks 🥰
Kevin, when you do the Thai constellation video can you please link wherever you bought the pot for the largest thai constellation is sold? I have a monstera large form that currently lives upstairs in my bedroom. The pot is too small and the leaves are too big so I'm going to be chopping it and propping it. This will be my first time trying leca but the aerial roots have grown into the acarpet so I don't get the feeling it's going to be a rough transition
Speechless! Love your Thai(s)
Good video, but they’re all so brown and scorched? Is it from the grow lights?
I totally enjoyed this format an your plants are beautiful! It would be great to see your plants from then to now!!
Simply gorgeous 😍
YAAAASSS 💚🥰
Can you explain the fertilization schedule? I think I have the same products, but don’t really know how to dose each one ://
You also have amazing lighting with those windows too!!!❤
I love your videos. Goals! I just got my first Thai baby. The only thing I am curious is what is your apartment temperature in the winter? do you turn on your AC in the summer?
Love love love this!😊
What a size up! And it's crazy to think that it can get even bigger O_O I really want my Thai Con to get this big but at the same time, always thinking about what if it does and how will it fit XD
What’s the nutrient solution you use please ? Beautiful plant absolute goals.
I know this is older but do you use the wick system or submerge setup with leca? I have 4 Thais and want so badly to experiment with 1!
Where do you find those large clear containers?
How often do you water your Thai in aroid mix? Mine rot like crazy as soon as they go into a aroid mix.
All those new leaves on the babies are bigger than your head. It’s so funny when yo show it side by side.
Haha 😆
Can you do a video dedicated to just Leca drops? 😂 That would be hilarious!
New Year’s Eve 👀
Kevin loved the format, you could chat on all day I would still watch 😉 in love with your Thai she is just stunning 🤩.
Please 🙏🏼 do a care video I have a baby and terrified I’m gonna kill her, she is so tiny have her on heat mat under grow light’s, the problem is can’t keep the humidity stable since the cold weather started 😢
