I got one of those heavy chain locks to use when I go to a store, but I don't take more than 15 mins inside. I also take the battery with me, so it looks like a regular bike.
Nice vid Chris. I have the big lufu lock you recommended and love it. Stores nicely under the seat and it's out of sight which makes it nice so you don't see a big lock off to the side.
I'd ditch that folding lock. Check the lockpicking lawyer review of the abus folding lock. Apparently the major flaw in that design is the rivets can be attacked with a really cheap tool, very quickly.

A thief will get any bike he wants. The only way to stop them is to have some non-lethal explosive that marks them with itchy stinky paint requiring a doctor's help.
I have the lock that came with my Lectric XP 3.0. The problem that I see is there are no places to fasten it to at the places that I'd go to. This is where mag wheels would be better than spokes. Wouldn't prevent a carry away theft though.
The straps go thru the lock's "cover" where there are cupped places. They are simply to hold the lock to the frame's round tube, usual place is the seat tube. The straps are not useful for locking the bike to anything, only for holding it to the frame when riding.
i ordered a 2pack of the big lufu for my bikes, but one was missing the latch so it wont lock. See how good their customer service is now. I also have an alarm on both for that guy with the grinder.
The best lock is the one you don't have to use. I take my bike with me everywhere.

That guy can pick anything! Can't protect much from good lockpickers and battery powered grinders these days.

There is a u lock that sprays a skunk like odor when it is cut.
