It came from good old Mongolia after all. You said "good wholesome barbarism," either seriously or sarcastically. And I replied sarcastically by pointing some other great things about barbarism. Then you somehow arrive at the conclusion that I said that the Chinese didn't have the plague. How humorous.

Very cool video! I miss Cambodia & I miss Amok! When I lived there I met an Englishman who owned a guesthouse in Kampot. Over a few beers at his bar, he revealed himself to be an instructor of chefs, in Europe, and explained to myself & two other foreigners why Cambodian pepper was the 2nd greatest pepper in the world; his being the best. His pepper is, in fact, Cambodian pepper which he performs a unique development on, prior to and during the harvesting/curing phases.
I never thought that I'd find myself sitting in a bar in Kampot, being educated on pepper!
Cambodian cuisine, sans the deep-fried insects, has really not had it's due on the world stage.
