I absolutely love these types of videos. Both because I love Gordon as a chef and seeing him interact with new and interesting cuisines is amazing, but also because it's really interesting to see the different cultures and foods of said cultures around the world in places you normally wouldn't is amazing.
I absolutely admire Westerners like Gordon Ramsay. When he’s on his home turf, he goes a little crazy sometimes since that’s his MO once in awhile. But when he steps onto somebody else’s home turf, he’s very respectful and shows a genuine interest in their culture.
There are some Westerners that do the opposite. They ingratiate their own and show outward contempt for other cultures.

To be fair, the shitty restaurants are on shows like Kitchen Nightmares for a reason. There are countless highly regarded restaurants in the US. Yeah, sides of red meat like beef(buffalo in this case) are usually hung and aged for some days after slaughter so that the fibers relax and it becomes more tender. Those chunks were still in rigor mortis lmfao

In the commercial meat industry animals are usually slaughtered instantly as to avoid having the muscles tense up as much before they die. This results in more tender meat.

When I was kid, it was war in Bosnia. Few years after the war, many refugees came back to their homes from Germany. I remember those kids, they were like Gordon, knowing nothing about nature. But we, who survived the war here, were just like those villagers, showing them how to climb a tree and stuff like that. This video is refreshing my memories of those days.
