  • How to do a Jallegra on the Pole Tutorial. This is an intermediate pole split that we are going to transition to from an outside leg hang. You should be 100% comfortable with transitions into and out of your outside leg hang prior to this one. You don't have to have full split to make this one work but I do find that it does require a degree of hamstring flexibility but don't let tight hammies stop you from trying out the initial entry and see how it feels.
    Need to work on those splits to get a better line with this one? I have a vertical splits online workshop to help you learn the necessary active flexibility and activation to crush that vertical split! Click this link: elizabethbfit.c...

      You're so welcome! It might go by both names! So many names for all the pole moves and so hard to keep track of all of them! Good luck with this one, let me know how it goes!

    I’ve been taking most of my classes in South America and since I’m not fluent in Spanish or Portuguese it’s sometimes hard to really understand my teachers. Your break down of the moves has really helped me 👍🏽

    Excellent Tutorial tips an tricks and precautions. I heard the stick at 2:50 ouch on the sensitive part of your inner thigh. Beautiful tricks can be a little painful to the body sometimes Ty...

      Years of practice, lol. Although some pole moves still get me every time I try to talk and demo (Janeiro and satellite are a couple that come to mind).

    I did it using your tips!!! (Hooking my elbow while in an outside leg hang is really difficult though)

      So happy to hear that!!! Happy dance! You're right, that elbow hold in an outside leg hang is no joke. Lots of active flexibility in the shoulder needed.

    Hi, I injured my oblique doing this move from a Broken Doll. I have also heard that it can hurt your ribs... any advice to avoid both of these issues? Thanks and keep up the excellent work!

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  5 років тому +1

      Isabel, so sorry to hear that. I hear about rib injuries in leg hang transitions way too often. Quite often I find that the culprit behind it is that the pole wasn't properly positioned in the starting leg hang before transitioning to the Jallegra or whatever variation you are going into. The pole should be perpendicular to the torso and positioned between the hip and ribs so as to lessen the contact with the ribs. For a more extensive break down check out the tutorial on outside leg hangs here: ua-cam.com/video/0dkRLJe59Gk/v-deo.html

      @@nayhadhiman3101 Oh I know first hand that can be very painful. I tore mine playing volleyball years ago. More painful than a broken rib. So sorry to hear that. Hope you are all healed or at least well on your way.

      @@thuydo2895 I could start poling carefully again in about 1 month, but felt it for few months. I guess it really depends on how important the injury is, your age and many other factors... I hope you recover quickly!
