    I am so grateful for you! I've been poling for 2 years and invert has been my greatest roadblock. I can do a number of intermediate tricks but because I can't aerial invert it makes my combos look very messy. Thank you so much for you tutorials. They have been a game changer!!

    Thanks to you I have finally understood why you have to lean and all that as an entry to an invert on spinny pole! I thought it was just a pretty variation of an entry to this move. I am currently practicing on it but I think I will do so much better now when I understand the mechanics. Thank you so much!

      @@Elizabeth_BFit so I did work on it today. I on my better side, I got it somehow ok. On my other side, I just can't lift my booty over the head. The phase one is ok, but then from there, it doesn't invert fully. I guess I need more (MORE) practice on that side. Here is my video on IG, I haven't uploaded it UA-cam, if that's ok: instagram.com/p/Br6aivXgF_K Also wondering, I have a relatively long torso (and short legs) so maybe that makes the flipping over a little bit harder? Aka, even more practice needed :)

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  5 років тому

      @@SuzannaMcGee it looks great! Yes there is a little more lift needed to get to the full finishing invert but I would recommend dropping your head back more when you get to that part. Instead of looking to see if your booty made it high enough try dropping your head back and looking for the floor. Sometimes just that little adjustment is all that is needed. You look like you are well on your way to a beautiful spinning chopper!

    this is interesting and I will try it. I can invert all sorts of ways with slow control and improving spinal alignment (shoulder mount, aerial, etc) but I can't do any kind of invert with straight legs. I've only been poling for a little more than a year and can't tell if my legs not coming close to my face/armpits at all is an anatomy limit or lack of lower core strength.

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  2 роки тому +1

      You are not alone in this and it can be due to many factors. The jump from bent legs to straight legs isn't just a one plus one equals two. It's more of a one plus one equals TEN. My recommendation for those trying to bridge the gap is to start with working on keeping one leg bent and one leg straight so as to only have to focus and add one straight leg versus BOTH at the same time.

  • @cmatumoto
    @cmatumoto 5 років тому +2

    Love this (and basically all your tutorials!) Quick question on the one: on step 1, is your stomach/legs in contact with the pole?

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  5 років тому +2

      Sometimes, yes. You want to lean into the pole and depending on how far you tilt you'll touch the pole with your ribs or stomach and depending on flexibility and range of motion that outside leg might also touch the pole. But neither contact point is necessary for the spinning chopper.

    I’ve been poling on static poles and recently started do to more on spiny.. this is very helpful even it’s just a basic move!
    I’m wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to keep momentum going on spiny pole? I find some combos I do just stops spinning at some point suddenly every time and I dunno how to add momentum..
    Thanks so much!

      Elizabeth Blanchard hey I just revisited this and noticed that, we can only spin clockwise when doing left handed invert and anti-clockwise for right handed invert, is that true?🤔

  • @chinli4869
    @chinli4869 3 роки тому

    Sometimes on the spinning pole to do air straddle is so hard coz body so far from pole and once get closer to spin faster so is so hard to do invert on middle of pole 🥲

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  3 роки тому

      You are not alone with this! Hard for me to say exactly what adjustments you need to make without seeing you do that transition to the outside leg hang. • @Elizabeth_BFit

      You're probably losing your side crunch as you transition. Might be a strength related thing but also could be a technique thing. Happy to dive deeper into it with via virtual training session. More info here: elizabethbfit.com/virtual-classes/

    I learned how to do it without leaning at all on a spinning pole.... I can't get the lean down. I don't know how you do that. It works so much better to just pull up into it like on a static pole!

      There is more than one way to do most tricks. Our bodies are all different and sometimes one particular way or variation works better for one person than another. If you’re way is effective than awesome!

    It looks like you use forearm grip with the inside arm rather than getting the pole into the armpit, correct?

    • @Elizabeth_BFit

      You can use the forearm or armpit. Both are effective and it depends on which comes more naturally to you.

      Forearm grip + hip hold is an easier entry when you first start inverting (depending on where your strength is). It takes an additional adjusting shuffle but works like a charm. Personally, I find it indefinitely harder to bring my hips up when I'm trying to lift myself from my armpit.
