  • How to do a Pegasus on the Pole Tutorial. The pegasus is an intermediate to advanced pole trick. In this tutorial I'll walk you thru the transition from a brass monkey to a pegasus. There are numerous other ways to get into a pegasus but this is a good way to work on your first pegasus and then progress on to more advanced transitions into it.
    Are you loving these tutorials and want to take the guess work out of your training? Not sure what to train or when or what steps to take to reach your pole goals? I've created an online training program to help you more safely and efficiently reach your goals complete with flexibility, tricks and transitions, flow exercises, pole conditioning as well as conditioning off the pole for cross training and for those days when you don’t have access to a pole. All organized for weekly and monthly training plans to help you stay on track, motivated and making progress towards your goals. Want to learn how to pole dance or improve and level up on your pole tricks and transitions? Take the guess work out of your training with this detailed online training program.

    Thank you so much! This helped me to achieve my Pegasus quite quickly :D I think the crucial step is to bring the outside leg into position first, as you showed. This makes balancing so much easier.

      So happy this tutorial was helpful for you and yes that leg positioning is huge! Thank you for explaining the points of contact. I haven't had many studio instructors who do that. Are there any other exits from Pegasus that are intermediate?

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  3 роки тому

      So happy to hear that this was helpful for you. I would say my top favorite exits are to either a brass monkey, an outside leg hang or also to a tear drop.

    Thank you for tutorial!! May I ask shall I practice plane first before doing the pegasus?

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  2 роки тому

      You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. You can work on plane before, after, or at the same time as working on pegasus. You don't have to have mastered one before moving on to the other.

    I love how you do it! I tríed it from the bow and arrow but after i did it, my shoulder (from the arm that goes behind my back) ended up in pain 😢 what could have happened?

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  Рік тому

      Sounds like you had too much strain on that shoulder but there's no way of answering that question or how to fix it without seeing what you were doing. Great tutorial thank you ❤ I am curious why the back of my neck hurts for a few days after doing this? It feels strained as though I kinked it. Do you have this issue?

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  3 роки тому +1

      I remember having the same sensation when I first learned this move years ago. Later realized that it was more of a bruise on the back of my neck from pushing back into the pole more forcefully than I needed too.

    • @courtneysemmler1871
      @courtneysemmler1871 3 роки тому

      @@Elizabeth_BFit thank you. I will try to loosen my neck a bit and see if I can use my arms more to avoid this strain. Thanks again!

    I’m having a hard time getting my hips away from the pole to make a big enough window to get my hand through. Any advice?

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  2 роки тому

      You're probably not sticking your booty out far enough. If you push your butt back more when in the brass monkey it will create more of a pocket to reach your arm thru.
