#TheLastHappyMondayBeforeFRUTuesdaywithTheHappiestMister Allo, Haps! With prog stew being removed from the menu this week, what type of meal prep did you elect for and moreso, how does your group decide on when to take food/bathroom breaks? Send sane vibes to you and your group! I look forward to watching.
The issue with tanks at the moment is more content design imo. Enemy damage in casual content has not been properly scaled up to accommodate the mitigations we've gotten the last two expansions. So pld, war, and gnb can just brain off and use mitigations haphzardly while healers barely have to do anything and they'll never die. Dark Knight had to put a modicum of thought into rotating mitigations and that's seen as a bad thing. What's funny is that if you do Stormblood or ShB content right now, tanks take way more damage than they do in current casual content. Anyone that's struggling with playing drk or healing drk now couldn't actually have made it through the msq. If devs want to make decisions that's healthier for the game and also are unwilling to tone down sustain and mitigation, then boss fights should be doing 2-3 busters a minute so that you can't kitchen sink/invuln them and be done with it. Some dungeon mobs should also do tankbusters honestly.
#MondaysWithMrHappy Hey there Happy, hope you're doing well. Got a couple 7.1 related questions for you. 1) I noticed how Jeuno isn't a solo-instanced place. In other words, you can see other players there. They also seem to be hinting at more of Jeuno opening up in future patches, so do you think they're really planing on giving us a full city by the end of the expansion for us to hang out in? 2) Were you a bit disappointed like I was with the lack of Heart of Sabik info with the Pandaemonium epilogue quest? What we got was ok I guess, but I can't say that was really what I was expecting to get when I saw that they were adding this quest into the game. I do wonder what that means for the Heart of Sabik plot point going forward.
The Worst Expansion Ever is whatever expansion we're currently in Also Dawntrail is freshly in 7.1 and people are forgetting that we have nearly 2 years of content ahead of us like....calm down LMAO
#MondaysWithMisterHappy Hey happy! Hope you’re having a good day. After playing Jeuno I kind of started thinking to myself about what if 14 did an expansion based in Vanadiel. My out there idea was what if all the zones in that hypothetical expansion were all field operation zones and they used their own leveling system that worked like Eureka? I feel like it would be an interesting shakeup that is kind of faithful to 11.
People sometimes mention SAM as the 'melee caster' but I wonder if a true melee caster could work. Imagine a 123 combo with cast times that either increase or decrease in cast time (slighty) when going through the combo. Might be dumb but each hit might have some more impact just due to the nature of the cast time.
#MondaysWithMrHappy Hey yo Haps, and a handful of extra hellos for any missed. I'll preface this by stating that this question is an opinion question and I understand your distaste for these, however as a newer player I am still unsure of the dev's habits/philosophy when it comes to Job adjustments on the whole so I would like to pick your mind a bit. Given the discourse on DRK's TBN and the current MP issue DRK has to adjust for with the BW stack change from 5 to 3. Are there any issues you could see with giving TBN a trait or baseline change that gives the shield the partial mp restore effect of Bloodprice, so even if the shield isn't broken there is some mana refunded, and if it fully breaks, you still get the free Edge plus the extra mp that could make up for the mp lost from the missing BW stacks.
#MrHappyMondays Hi Mr. Happy, hope your FRU prep is going well, and may the Twelve guide you on your clear. One Quick Question: Do we know when the additional sidequest for post-Panda will drop? I thought it was 7.1X, but i don't see it mentioned on the Crossroads special website or in the 7.1 full patch notes. Thanks!
#MondaysWithTheHappyMister Good morning, good afernoon or good night depending on when you read this. Quite a recent player, and even more recent viewer of yours, and first time asking. One thing that's been bothering for a long time and only accentuated with 7.1 additions is... why are there no weapons for Alliance Raids? As many NieR fans, the total absence of Automata weapons for their raid series is at least baffling, but I'd also like to see weapons for the ARR and the recently added FFXI raid (I so want Ark Angel TT scythe, and I'd be down to have CoD tentacles as fists for MNK or Xande's staff for BLM, to give some examples). I believe it could be to better balance gear for high-end content, but they had the opportunity to "redeem" themselves by giving them on the new Chaotic Alliance Raids, only to get even more armour sets. Also, a glamour-only lv1 weapons could have been an option to avoid that, so... I'm the only crazy one? Also, as a lot of people is asking you for rhythm experiences, what do you thing of the greatest rhythm game of all time, DDR Mario Mix for the GameCube?
#MondaysWithMisterHappy Hello Happy. I was just watching your Dawntrail Reward video, and one thing I've been reflecting over is the mid-core content like Eureka and Bozja/Zadnor, if I recall correctly Eureka was implemented in 4.2.5, and Bozja in 5.3.5. Which feels very late, wouldn't it be better to implement these kind of features much earlier? Like for instance 7.0.5, what's the reason they keep mid-core players waiting for content, wouldn't it be better to have this type of content out much quicker, so that people who don't engage in raiding and such have something to do? I don't really see any reason to delaying the mid-core content, particularly since that would incentivize players to stay subbed longer, and firmly reward players who engage with it.
#MondayswithMrHappy Good day to you, Haps! Your recent video on rewards in 7.1 got me thinking about Unreal. Do you think they should add more incentive to it by adding the drops from the EX version or are rewards for Unreal sufficient right now? (Maybe add the glowing versions of the weapons instead of the regular since they'd be for glam only anyways)
#MondaysWithMisterHappy Hello Happy! I have a question regarding the next tier of savage. Im a new raider. I dabbled in endwalker but never really got very far. Arcadion was the first tier I truly attempted and got my first clear relatively quickly. I actually felt really confident with the fights overall. Since I’ve heard the consensus is that the fights (mainly m4s phase 2) was slightly easier than expected. I was wondering what I should be expecting in terms of difficulty for the next tiers of the raids? My mind jumps to p8 and p12 but since I never did those when they were current, I don’t have much to go on. Thanks!
Hey there #MrHappyMondays, I feel sorry bringing up difficulty just before Ultimate's release, hope that treats you well this time. We finally got unreal back in 7.1 and Jade Stoa is... real easy, I think I spent more time on the alliance raid than I did on unreal. As someone who was around when it was current how was the difficulty seen back in the day, and how does it compare to the other ex's in storm blood? Personally I'm not too bothered by it being easy, if only because it will be a great on ramp for folks looking to get into high end for the first time.
#MondaysWithMrHappy (no "Hqppy" this time) Hello there, MrHappy! You mentioned rhythm games, so I wanted to ask if you ever played Rhythm Heaven for the DS, in all its craziness? Also just wanna thank you for these Q&As and your dedication to doing em weekly.
#MondaysWithMisterHappy Hello! and best of luck with FRU, Question related to the lack of there being much "midcore" content early in the expansion. Something perhaps related to this I have noticed is a comparable lack of midcore content creation on UA-cam. As someone in that sphere do you know why is this the case, and do you think it might contribute to the dev team seeing it as lower priority? Cider's achievement series being the only regular 14 content I can think of that is not either primarily raid related, or a first time MSQ reaction. (or have I just not found the right corner of 14 youtube)
#MondayHappiesWithMr Heya! Ive got two completely unrelated questions 1. I heard from a friend that Rogue/ Ninja was added in one of the 2.X patches back in ARR, and that the devs have said theyd never release a job mid expansion again. I feel like the problems with doing that are obvious, but have we ever heard what their thought process for doing that was? The NIN balancing horror stories ive heard are hilarious. 2. Can we get an Ivy cam for FROU?
#mondayswithmrhappy Hi there, hope you’re well. Rhythm game question! You mentioned you were a Beatmania player, was this IIDX? What’s your peak difficulty? Always cool to see fellow BM players, just working to get past level 11s at the age of 40 but enjoying the hell out of it to this day.
Has anyone tried to activate the ability to mark sightseeing log points on your map? There's supposed to be a tab for it on your map but I haven't seen it.
#MWMH Mornin' Haps I just cleared DSR this past Sunday after a lengthy prog. I was curious what you do in preparation for a new unseen ultimate raid in terms of mechanic preparation and strategy? As a bonus question how much sleep are you actually getting during initial launch of an ultimate?
#MondaysWithMrHappy Hello! Do you think NA pf will ever get away from calling literally any strat that makes it a little easier to resolve a mechanic "braindead"? I cleared ex3 semi blind and im baffled at the fact that the fixed ice strat is also being called braindead in some pfs. The main difficulty of the mechanic imo is having the first set of tethers cross the ice bridges before the second set and no matter what youre gonna have to think at least a little. Why cant pf just accept that some mechanics are hard? I feel as though overuse of the moniker also makes it more intimidating for newer players to keep doing hard content because "if this is a braindead strat, what about the hard strats?"
#MondaysWithMrHappy Hey there! I got content current toward the end of EW, so FRU will be the first Ultimate I've been around for at release. I won't be doing it myself, but I do hope to follow you and other raiders as they try to overcome it. Any tips or advice on how best to keep up with it all? Are there, like, specific websites or streamers or content creators you'd recommend for keeping track of the progress? (Besides yourself, of course, that one's obvious :P)
#mondayswithmrhappy Good day good sir and a couple extra Hellos incase anyone forgets, Non FFXIV question today. I know you've gotten a DDR set up this year, how did you set it up? playing off a console or PC? and where did you get a mat from? I'm looking to get back into it myself and I'm looking for some advice to get a set up going for it.
#MondaysWithMrHappy Hi Mr. Happy with pach 7.1 increasing damage and sustain for Gunbreaker and Dark Knight. Why do you think Warrior and Paladin weren't given a damage buff.
600+ Pokèmon .. Man really said Lucario as favourite. SMFH. I have too many so I will just name a few: Tynamo, Aron, Tyrunt, Tauros, and Kangaskahn. Any way, nerf Warrior.
We passed 1000 a while back. Pokemon #999 is based on collecting 999 coins to evolve into the most anti-competitive monster ever conceived. Its not even close to a legendary either
SE is releasing the content pretty much backwards. I can't wait for the exploration zones to cone out. Yet it will probably be the last thing they release. That stuff could keep people busy until the next expansion. Also, they need to release the relic weapons asap. Why wait to release the best grinding content? Just give us the stuff that needs grinding. Please SE for the love of god I want to play the game.
Damn it, DoT jobs can be so simple. Apply, spread, maintain, and some abilities to 'pop' the DoT. We had a solid baseline for it with old Summoner, just include some of Bard and Black Mage's style of 'did the DoT crit? Press this button!'
did it ever acour to you Mr Happy that MAYBE the content they hold off on giving the people is due to those things STILL BE WORKED ON at the time its announced at fanfest and its nowhere near READY until those 9 months to a year after, do ,do you honestly think they are completely DONE making everything for the damn game on expation realease?????
for the question at 13:59, I uh believe thats a uh, *enhancement* done by the community :)
yeah it's from simple tweaks. self report!
This is it exactly. Tweaks, even.
Wait, really? uh, what is the name of this "enhancement"... so the rest of us can *cough* avoid it?
Yes, as a vanilla player I can confirm that this is not a feature that's in the game xD
Imagine having mods for so long that you forget you have mods 🤣😂
