So... My gf got me a Big Easy for my birthday, which is in January... And I live in NH. Today (April 4) I busted it out and cooked ribs following this recipe exactly... delicious! Came out perfectly... thanks for the video..many more yummy things to come in my new favorite cooker!
Looks good going to start my ribs here real soon. It’s about 30deg out so I’m thinking it might take a little longer. You might wanna get some heavy gloves.
@@GreyCountyGrillin the ribs came out surprisingly good for the first time. Thanks for the video. I didn’t have any hooks so I made some using metal skewers we have a lot so I sacrificed a few. The wife wasn’t very happy but “that’s the way it goes to get the job done “. Thanks again 👍
Yeah, you want them to get smoke at the beginning, and get the colour you want. Then, once they are your preferred colour, you can wrap them. You're wrapping them to essentially steam them.
@@GreyCountyGrillin 👍 Cool!! Thanks for the advice!! I got a Big Easy as a Bday gift to myself.Been wanting to learn how to fry a turkey for so long. I've watched many tutorials including your's cause I know we everyone has their own unique method of frying turkey or cooking in general. So this will be my 1st time frying a turkey this year. Hopefully everything I've leatned will pay off. As for ribs, I only ate them if they came off the grill. So I also plan on making them. Wish me luck!
Did you or anyone on here try loosely wrapping some mesquite or hickory chips in foil and setting them in the bottom of the basket before you start to add a smoky flavor
I haven't tried it. I don't think it would work all that well. The temp in the Big Easy is too high to smoke properly. I imagine the wood would just ignite rather than smolder and produce smoke.
I just dropped my pork ribs into my Big Easy.........I swear you all use way too much spice and crap........I use Goyo adobo blue lightly all over and garlic powder........a little tyme and rosemary and I'm done......wonderful tasty crispy meaty ribs.....yum !!!
Done this video 2x. It's my go to each time. Thanks for the share! No sugar tip is pro level.
Glad you like it!

You can purchase the meat hooks for the ribs as an accessory pack through Big Easy.👍
Is that _The Cult_ playing in the background? 7:30
I hear ya about the sugar in rub doing a hot-n-fast. The ribs looked good. Now I'll. have to try hot-n-fast on my Char Broil SRG. Thanks.
I like how you cut the butter on the work bench. Very classy.
Hey, I'm a classy guy!
Very nice! That rub looked GOOD! Ribs looked tasty!
The big easy did a great job on them ribs. Thanks for sharing.
can you cook ribs and a whole chicken at the same time ??
Nicely done! Ribs looked delicious 👍🏼
Try putting your meet on cooling rack in fridge so you get air circulating completely around the meet.
You're gonna have to give me some context here...I'm a little bit lost.

I have a couple pairs of good gloves now. And if it's colder outside, don't be afraid to keep the lid on.

@@burnerloco4138 Glad to hear it! The hooks from the Big Easy accessory kit are a good investment if you plan on doing them often.
Does it matter if you wrap the ribs at the beginning and the unwrap after30 to 40 mins

Will the ribs have that charcoal taste in the big easy?
Nope. There is no charcoal used in the big easy. You're just gonna taste the meat, not the heat.
@@GreyCountyGrillin oh ok, u think liquid smoke might help w/that?
Definitely! Or a smoky rub...

Heat on high or medium heat for the big easy?
I always turn the propane on full. I never use medium heat.
High

Complains about using too much spice.
Proceeds to list 4 different spices to use.
