  • I wanted to try cooking a Boston butt pork roast on the Char Broil Big Easy Oil-less turkey fryer after hearing that they cook well in them. The turkey fryer did not let me down. Not only does it cook turkey's very well, it cooks pork great also. This may be the best outdoor cooking item I've ever owned. Don't get me wrong, outdoor grills such as propane grills, charcoal grills, and pellet grills are great but the oil-less fryer does some things those others can't do. I'm guessing that it's because it's an infrared cooker that it can keep meat juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside without burning it. Now that I've cooked both a turkey and a pork roast, I want to try other meats such as ribs and briskets. There is also an accessory kit that includes a chicken leg rack, rib holders, and shish kabob holders I want to try.

Awesome. I’m going to try this. I have a 5.2 lb Boston Butt and I’m going to use your method of cutting it in half.

I get a chuckle watching guys trying to make minced onions and garlic using a dull boning knife
Get a sharp chefs knife or a Santoku and learn to use it it is basic Sous chef knife skills
Then get a decent roast slicer

Why? They're already cooked and I was basically just reheating it.
