I will tell you why you need this Oil-Less Turkey Fryer from Char-Broil.
This Oil-Less Fryer is not just for Turkeys, you can also purchase the two accessory kits from Char-Broil and hang Ribs and Chicken Legs in the cooking basket, and the flavor infuser to add moister and flavor to your turkey. You can also cook roasts and turkey breast in this same unit.
Oil turkey Fryers are very dangerous, and many homes, porches and people have been burned by Oil Turkey Fryers. There is a ZERO Percent chance of a Flare-Up or an Oil Boil-Over with this Oil-Less Turkey Fryer.

I’ve deep fried turkeys for over 20 years for Thanksgiving but decided to roll the dice with the Big Easy. This year we hosted for 16. I asked a guest to bring an oven baked “safety” bird. The Big Easy surpassed all expectations. The safety bird went uneaten and I’ll never deep fry again.

    • @HowtowithPaulHenderson

That's awesome, I know it takes a little bit longer and then Big Easy than it does in a oil fryer but virtually no mess to clean up.

This is the comment I was looking for. I have only been deep frying our turkey for the last couple of years. Then a co-worker told me about this option. I ordered one just now from Lowe's for $99 on sale. I'm happy to see the flavor is still there vs deep frying.

You are going to love this fryer, your turkey will turn out awesome. Of course when you cut the turkey you should wait till it's a lot cooler cuz as you can see it was being torn apart while I was cutting it I just finished it off 8 days later I had turkey for breakfast and turkey for dinner every single day.
I did recently receive the flavor infuser I'm looking forward to trying that on the next turkey.

I do like stove top but, I'll make my mom's stuffing that she would make for turkey dinners every year.
      Her recipe is:
You make a bowl of mashed potatoes as you normally would and let cool a bit.
Cut up a small stalk of celery.
Dice up a medium yellow onion.
Toast a cheap loaf of white bread and cut that into cubes.
Dump everything into the bowl mash potatoes and mix it all together.
Some people think it sound gross but trust me it tastes great.

Thanks Paul for posting this. For about 8 years now I have always deep fried our turkeys. Today we saw this oil less fryer come up on sale on Amazon for 99.00. The clean up from deep frying has always been time consuming and I always felt guilty disposing of the oil after one use, plus peanut oil is expensive. Watching your video made us feel that we made a good choice with this purchase and we can’t wait to see the results from it this Thanksgiving.

Yeah you're right to clean up is very easy. Nothing will really get on the sides of the cooking pot but some chunks will settle down on the bottom of the pot just use a plastic paint scraper and scrape it off, everything else drains into the catch pan.

    • @HowtowithPaulHenderson
      @HowtowithPaulHenderson  8 місяців тому

I don't know what the oil fryer one looks like, but the open end of the turkey has to face downward so the juices inside can drip out. Basket also keeps it in the center of a cooking pot and keeps the legs spread, but If you can do that and keep it in the center and off the bottom of the cooking pot I don't see why not. I can't hurt to try.

The Big Easy is convenient and economical I use mine frequently and about once a month all year long to cook turkeys.
