whenever Marion says to trust her, I wholeheartedly do! Marion, your recipes have never failed me or disappointed me! I actually did not know how to cook properly before, but I kept following your recipes and instruction and tips and its been a game changer!!!!! You make everything so easy to understand and easy to follow (oh and also so quick!!), you are my to go person for cooking!!! Im a huge pasta fan and noodle fan, and its been the best with your kind and wonderful instructions! You're definitely one of my saviors during these med school years in a country where there's barely any asian food around. I miss asian food and my mom's cooking. But youre making my days a little better everyday. Thank you.
I've made this about 20 times and I love it!
Best recipe I've found, it's my go to.
I very a little, I use the black peppercorn. Recently I've made cabbage on the side and started mixing it in. I just have to say you are Amazing and thank you so much for this recipe.
This is such a good go to recipe when you need something super delicious super quickly. It's so simple to make, but wow is it flavorful and satisfying. The peanutty sauce has some decadence and the texture of the chewy noodles is almost addictive.
This one of my fave weeknight meal recipes of all time! I add a bit more peanut butter and garnish with yellow + orange bell pepper + cilantro + green onion + sesame seeds. Tastes sooooo good!
My clever hubby cooked this tonight, and it was fabulous!! Many thanks, Marion! In our household, my hubby is the way better "Asian" cook, whilst I cook great German and Italian. But this recipe was a little different to his usual repertoire and I think it will become a regular for us.
We love this dish and I’ve made it several times! A word of warning, though, don’t add two tablespoons of chili powder when it calls for teaspoons! Your lips will thank you!
This recipe is simply OUTSTANDING!!! I made it this evening for supper. Easy to make and so full of flavor. Thank you, Marion for creating this dish. I had recently bought the green Sichuan Pepper Corns and the intensity of flavor and numbness was so much better than the over dried and red corns. This is definitely going on my menu frequently. Have you made this with the Chinese Roasted Sesame Paste in lieu of peanut butter.? I think I want to try it. the Middle-Eastern Tahini is raw and much milder flavor.
Foolproof recipe, even without the proper ingredients. I made this and skipped the peanut butter and crushed peanut. I also just used ground black pepper and cayenne instead of Szechuan pepper and chilli powder. Pork mince instead of chicken. And I added baby spinach at the end. SO GOOD and so easy! Thanks, Marion!
I printed this out last year and finally made it tonight! Not bad at all!!! I am a fan of Sichuan Pepper! I first got the whole peppercorns from Amazon but then realized that they do have the pre-ground stuff. So I'm using that now. I know that fresh is better! I sure learned that one years ago with ginger! Thanks for all of your great recipes! I've made enough of them to need to start your own 3-ring binder of recipe printouts! Tell Mama Noi I said hello! I made one of hers, but I forget which one it was! Liked it, too! Take care!
This turned out pretty fantastic. I've done this twice so far, first time was with regular peppercorns, but a few weeks ago I bought a small bag of Sichuan pepper. It's amazing! Only I couldn't find udon noodles so it's spaghetti, but the sauce itself is magical. One minor nitpick, in the written recipe you mention white vinegar, in the vid you don't.
I noticed this as well
Did you use the vinegar?
@@sb_1389 I did, I think it's a must to cut through all the richness a little bit 😊
@@sb_1389 I did as well, really delicious ;)
This was awesome
beautifully filmed as always! love udon noodles :D
Thank you so much Wil! :-)
awww love when people support each other and not tare down. Love you both. Keep spreading love for that is the mark of a true Christian. Love y'all
This was so delicious, and easy to prepare. I made some substitutions based on what was in my kitchen but still, so glossy so savoury just fantastic.
I've cooked those several times, and they're an absolute favourite. Ginger, anise, peanut butter and soy sauce create something really special.
Thanks for the recipe. I can't get Fresh Udon were I live. My family can attest that fully cooked Linguini works just great. A drizzle of Sesame Oil on the plate, intensifies the flavor.
Probably the BEST recipe I've made with noodles.Absolutely F'n DELICIOUS!!!!!Who needs spaghetti bolognaise!
All your recipes are really good specially noodles ..I always followed your recipes of all Times if we talk about noodles ..really so good.thank you Marion..
Howdy from St. Louis! I made this one again today but this time I needed to use up some refrigerated udon noodles and they took longer to come apart and I'm afraid that they got a little overcooked. Still great, though! I won't buy those noodles again! Normally the ones I use are shelf stable and not refrigerated. Oh, I also used diced pre-cooked chicken instead of ground chicken and it tastes amazing! Thanks again for a great one! I wrote on the recipe printout "Real good taste", so I knew I'd love it!
I love that some of your recipes are quick fixes. Like if you’re starving, you can have a comforting meal in minutes. Thanks for making me believe I’m a chef, too!🥰 These chicken peanut udon noodles looks delish!😋😋😋
Made it today and it turned out great. Thanks!!!
Make chili oil as you go. Love this idea. Thank you Marion. Looks amazing.
Tried this yesterday.
I lost count on the number of times I said 'WOW' throughout the meal. Thank you so much for this recipe!
I made this today ... 6th June 2020.... my favorite dish so far. ❤️

I made this tonight for dinner, and my family loved it!! I stuck to the recipe and it was super easy and fast once the mise en place was done. Thank you 😊 I am so happy I stumbled into your channel!!! I am going to go through all the recipes one by one 😃
I maked this. It was so good! I did not have much chicken so added an egg as a substitute. Worked out really well. Thanks Marion.
made this recipe from this video last night, and it was a HIT with the family. Sooo delicious, nutty, savory, and its got a good kick to it in spice! the chewy udon noodles were perfect for the sauce. thanking her for this dope easy recipe 🙏🙏🙏
Oh my god this makes me want to get up and cook immediately!! It all looks soooooooooo good
Love ❤️ it. Udon is one of my favorites Thanks !!🎉
Prepping for lock down this week. Am going to make these and freeze so I can have a few meals.

Second recipe of yours that I've tried and it turns out sooooo good.
Driving me CRAZY!! These amazing recipes, and we're on lockdown in the UK, I'm going to balloon!!! OMgosh....love them. YUM!!!!
You turn ordinary into extraordinary!! Thank You
Hooray! I can't think of anything better than a video from Marion to get my Sunday started.
I just made this and substituted it with whole peppercorns and ground beef since that's all I have. It tasted awesome! I thought I have some chili oil left but sriracha worked fine.
I’m loving all these recipes, so quick and easy: now a chef who’s can relate to us 😂❤️💯
Looks wonderful! As a vegetarian easy to not use chicken, can use either tofu, or make this amazing noodle 🍜 recipe, as is! Thank you😊
I went to a spice specialty store to get schezuan peppercorns. I’ve never tasted them before and couldn’t imagine what the big deal was. But wow! After a few bites my husband and daughter commented that their tongues were numb and so was part of mine. Such an odd sensation and not from heat. What a fun recipe.
I don’t have green onions or fresh ginger but I have minced ginger in my fridge so I’m gonna try it and see!! It looks soooo goood
Every time I see your vids, I'm so ready to go out and do it. Thanks Marion. Regards from Fiji.
This was a hit with my family:))) I replaced the star anise with a couple tablespoons of chinese 5 spice, SO GOOD!
Yeah, 5 spice has Sichuan pepper and star anise, so it's a good match.
A couple tablespoons ???? You don't mean teaspoons by any chance ??? 😅😅😅 Wow that's a lot of 5 spice in one dish !!
@@leonorahasani6607 it was definitely tablespoons HAHA we like de spice ;) they weren't generous tbspns though so we didnt die :)
Just made this for lunch! Delicious and lovely layers of richness! First time using Sichuan peppercorns and they are fascinating. Go Team Marion!
I make that for the first time and I have to say its very delicious, thank you 😊
Glad you liked it!!
Udon is my most favorite type of noodles 😋
Oh my.. i love the way you cook so much! I wish i could become a chef like you...
I literally found my mouth drooling when those noodles hit that sauce. This looks so amazing. Yet simple too! Great video ... Thanks Marion!
Production qualitu is on point! Plus not too complicated and not too long.. great work!
Thank you so much Andrew! How kind of you to comment! 😀
I’ve made this twice now and its soooo delicious!
It's 9am here and I already want to eat this for lunch or dinner! I'm salivating! This looks amazing like always! Lot's of love from Canada! 💖
Thank you for watching Natalia!
Yay, this looks easy enough for me to do. I LOVE peanut butter anything, especially noodles
I can smell it, wonderful it is! Thank you, i will enjoy.
Nice! I have all these ingredients in my house. Definitely making this for a dinner and lunch this week.
For those of you that have a peanut allergy, use tahini OR sunflower seed butter (unsweetened) instead of peanut butter! I find that a mix of both does the trick
I made this and it was so delicious!! LOVE you and your videos. You're so delightful and inspiring. Greetings from New York City!
Made this last night and it's really yummers. If you like spice you can check your local health food shop that sell stuff in bulk for the Szechuan peppercorns (which are not peppercorns by the way.) This was the first time I chopped meat in the food processor so thanks for that too.
Just cooked this. It’s absolutely delicious. I kept adding chili flakes though, because more is more, amirite?
At the end, did you use broth or water? Thx.
Lovely Sweetie I used normal chicken broth you can buy at grocery store 🙂
Homemade chili oil added at the end would be much tastier.
@@lovingfreedom5794 I tried both. Both equally good in terms of Taste! :)
Me too!! Today for the first time I finally made peanut udon noodles and OMG I should have made more! They are simply delicious!
I always watch food vids and never make anything. Today I tried this recipe and it was so easy and crazy delicious. I can't wait to cook your food again.
Just tried this recipe and loved it! Thanks so much Marion 💕
Made this yesterday. Was delicious. Thanks.
her voice is so comforting
Suggest using chunky pb or (I know this complicates a beautifully simple recipe) chopped peanuts. Also a splash of Tabasco for the vinegary heat but that's just me. I love your recipes in original form, too! Cheers!
Chopped crispy peanuts are the best
Gonna try make this today for the wife….this looks AMAZING! 🙌🏽🤤🤤
Just made it! Another great recipie 👏🏽 Thank you!

Just made this! It is sooooo GOOD!
This looks so good! Saving this for later...
I tried your recipe and it’s delicious 👍🏽👍🏽
I made this recipe again, though this time I only had minced pork on hand. Again thank you for introducing a wonderfully tasty noodle dish. Do you have your own more complex Chili oil recipe?
Yum! Couldn't find any Udon noodles so I just used dinosaur pasta instead. Also replaced the szechuan peppercorns with corn kernels. Tasted delicious!!
Hi Marion , awesome recipe, so delicious, !,! Super Yum 😋 , I used frozen udon noodles from the Japanese grocery which is made in Japan . These Udon noodles have a nice chewy texture . Thanks for your creations . Keep them coming 👏🏽 😃
That looks wonderful!!!
Gah... wish I had found this 3 weeks ago. I made peanut and veggie udon, winged it, was good, but yours looks SOOO much better. Time to gather up and try again. Pork and Peanut Udon, Here We Come!

Hello Marion. Great channel. Love your recipes.
One question
On the recipe link on the website mentions vinegar, but I don’t see you using it on the video. Do I need the vinegar?
Cheers.
I love your cooking it’s so unique, it shows you have a lot of passion for cooking aswell xox

Hola he visto 3 vídeos y me suscribo, cocinas muy rico! I I saw 3 videos and immediately I subscribed.. Cook very tasty.. Thank you!! Muchas gracias from Spain
Szechuan Peppercorns are really quite difficult to get in Australia, have to buy them from a specialty Asian store, sadly not available in general supermarkets. Blasphemy, spagbol is awesome, particularly if made with lamb mince. This recipe does look yum 🐨 thanks for the recipe
You're so right, it's a shame it's not available in the supermarket yet. I was curious and looked up "Szechuan Seasoning" and it was a mix that contained no said Szechuan peppercorns! What were they thinking! All the more reason to go where the locals shop - I've been very fortunate, meeting helpful - and sometimes bossy - shoppers and store owners who know their own food inside out, and are there because it's less expensive, authentic and high quality. Be it Indian, Italian, Greek, Spanish etc., I've loved shopping in "their" delis / shops and asking questions; usually they beam with pride when you ask them and take a genuine interest, a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning browsing too!
PS: I can just imagine Mama Noi telling us what to get, "Buy this one, not that one - too expensive! No good!".
I love Asian food and your recipes are great for making at home! You make it easy and authentic...and delicious ❤️
Damn, i get so hungry 😋🍜
