I appreciate the flexibility with substitutions because I'm in Poland and made this recipe with the stuff I could find here. I used sambal oelek instead of doubanjiang, completely different veggies, but it turned out delicious.
Hello my friend. Thank you for last week comments. Question can you do the same thing but use red curry paste or green curry paste instead of the chilli paste?
ive been in a bit of a cooking rut lately, (summertime = less time at home) and this is exactly the kind of recipe i'm looking for! thank you for delivering as always Marion! Always looking forward to your uploads! Love from Germany
Hi Marion, thanks for all the great tips I’ve picked up from your channel over the years. Thanks for the user-friendly substitutes. This is my best recipe to try out.
The Victorinox Serrated Tomato Knife (round tip) and their Julienne Peeler are essential kitchen tools for great food presentation & they stay sharp forever.
Hello Marion!! Love your cooking and dishes. I enjoy the ones without pork or shellfish especially because I eat kosher. But I love Thai cuisine! Keep bringing us great content, your passion for food is contagious
Hi Marion I live by your recipes. You are the reason I cook Asian dishes now. I thought they were hard, but you make it easy. My only problem is I cannot get your product in US. I tried but impossible.
Looks amazing! American and Vietnamese couple watching from the UK. Your Southern Thai fried chicken has been a huge hit here. I've also used the marinade to make a roasted chicken version. Delish!
Omg. I have fresh, handmade noodles from a friend's mum, and had decided to make chilled peanut sesame noodles. Heat wave here in Canada, so even if spicy - cold, creamy, nutty noodles with [protein of choice] is ideal for work. And always better than any takeout. 😍🤤 I hadn't thought of coconut milk, but this is exactly why I always keep some on hand!
Ok so I made this and I love it. You already had posted a chicken peanut udon a while back that I love, but the coconut milk does up this recipe and makes it more filling, too. Things I learned...... stick to about a tbsp peanutbutter like you did. I thought I'd up it since i didn't want the peanut taste to get lost but it was a little too much. and add the whole can of coconut milk, again, like you did. I thought it would get too runny but somehow it doesn't and it needs it. only thing i would change is to add more crunch. i used broccoli and half a red pepper but I would add some thin carrot slices next time. this is a winner. thank you!
I've been making your Persian rice pilaf dish (but with lamb) a lot. It's so so good! I didn't usually eat basmati rice but because of this dish I've fallen in love with basmati rice.
Hi Marion. My hubby and I love your channel. I'm on my Todd tonight for dinner, so I am having chicken parm. Definitely trying this. Will get back to you. Thanks for all your great tips.
Watching from North Carolina in the US, and thank goodness for Amazon. My international market does not have a lot of the specialty ingredients. Fresh noodles especially!
Hello from Minneapolis, Minnesota. This dish is on the list to make for sure! I can tell you that we've been making many of your recipes, and haven't found one we didn't love! Thanks for sharing!
I might substitute chili garlic since I have that and I doubt I can find the dobanjiang in my local small town store. I do have gochujang but I think that seems like a different flavor than I'd be going for with peanut
I like the texture of the frozen ones better. You just cook them according to packet instructions (some brands are different to others). And then add to the stir-fry.
I logged on a bit too late from Oregon, USA! But love this kind of recipe, thanks so much! I live in Africa so it's a challenge to find ingredients but surprisingly, I usually can! Or else bring them back from the US....
Hi.Faith here from Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦. I missed it last night as I was already making supper.... Just catching up today looks wonderful.I'm always go for a good peanut noodle dish
Hello Marion, just watching your video now 6:05 pm Danvers Ma. USA. I love your cooking videos, I have tried your recipe particularly the Garlic noodle yummy, and my son and boy friend love it and so do I. I am sorry I missed it live😀., I have that fermented hot pepper just bought it. I will try this in the future😀. By the way I am going to Thailand in the Fall. I am so excited. You’re awesome, your recipes are wicked good(Boston Ma Saying)
Gonna make it this evening. Peppercorns roasted, noodels set aside. Gonna fine slice chickenthies, cocos milk check, peanut butter check. Veggies check, ( using broccoly, bak tjoy, carrots, green beans. Ginger, carlic check. Chili oil check, I thin I am ready to go !
Could you please do an Asian noodle salad dressing / noodle sauce video? A lot of times I'm looking for just a dressing or sauce and it would be nice to have yours (cause they are the best) in one place,. Even saving them I will forget which regions dressing or sauce it is I'm looking for...Love what you do! Thank you for everything!💚🐉
I live in the US in Vermont. Would love to be able to get some of your sauces! I have made some of your recipes… love the pork and spaghetti with the egg on top, can’t remember the name of the recipe. Love using Thai basil, although hard to find in VT.
here may be a challenge: my wife is discovering (through trilal and pain/consequence) that she's intolerant to coconut and grains, including rice. yet I just got the mae ploy trio of red, green, and massaman curry pastes. What else can I do with these pastes besides soak them in coconut liquid? perhaps coat and grill a stak in curry paste? or stir them into some canned tomato to do an east-west pasta?
Hi Marion, made my first pho using your recipe and it was amazing! Collecting ingredients for the next recipe I'll be trying which is the char siu pork. I was wondering if you could do a video on aisian greens, what they are? how to cook? I love Asian greens at the restaurants but when I'm at downtown Cabramatta/ Canley Vale surrounded by the amazing smells and a plethora of things to pick from it's kind of overwhelming and I don't really know what to grab or how I would go about it.
I ordered Szechuan peppercorns off Amazon because of your videos and hadn't tried them yet. This sounds like the perfect excuse to break them out and give them a try 😊
Why do you do this to me?? I'm putting the beef short ribs back in the fridge and making this instead!! I absolutely love these quick, but flavour packed dishes!!! Keep 'em coming!!!!!
Thanks for the recipe, this almost looks like an asian version of bolognese sauce. Definitely have to give it a try! If you're making this for kids, would you recommend replacing the doubanjiang/gochujang with tomato paste + a little bit of miso (for the "umami" flavor)?
Cap cun cah! Really love your videos down here in California. I have made a few of your recipes. I really like the Korean fried chicken, crispy pork, papaya salad and Pad Kee Mao amongst others. Packed with flavors and I can't wait to try this one. Appreciate you for continuing to share your culture.

What part of Canada?
We've only had 1 hot day this year and frost warnings every night this week 😢
@faigee3493 great question, Canada is a big place! In my case, southern Ontario. Been over 25 every day this week.

Love this series. Would you consider doing a lunch prep series?
I've been making your Persian rice pilaf dish (but with lamb) a lot. It's so so good! I didn't usually eat basmati rice but because of this dish I've fallen in love with basmati rice.

Question:What's the difference between using fresh or frozen Udon noodles to using dried Udon noodles? Is there any difference in the cooking method?
I like the texture of the frozen ones better. You just cook them according to packet instructions (some brands are different to others). And then add to the stir-fry.
I logged on a bit too late from Oregon, USA! But love this kind of recipe, thanks so much! I live in Africa so it's a challenge to find ingredients but surprisingly, I usually can! Or else bring them back from the US....

I love your recipes using mince/ ground meat. It much more economical these days 😊
Would you want to add the tsp of baking soda to grill up the meat faster?
Yum! Can't wait to cook this for dinner tonight.
Hope you enjoy!
