Hey, just a thing nothing to do with this video but it’s a fun fact if you want for a next video. Since the beginning of destiny 2 we can now about the witness. When you spawn a the tower and look at the left of the hangar entrance u can see the traveler with the triangle spray on the wall. So I mean, is the end of the game is already hide somewhere ?🤔
"I used to walk in a store and find a game. Now I open a game and find a store". That still hits REALLY hard, not just for D2. Edit: wow, I wasn't expecting so many likes, thank you guys!
The funniest thing about the Ekeugan scandal is that Bungie never outright revealed who the leaker was, and it was EK's own reaction to his ban that confirmed it.
I mean. It’s not like you couldn’t piece it together if he didn’t reveal himself. His livelihood is as a content creator and playing Destiny constantly to never again after a public announcement sends up red flags. Either way, it would’ve came back to him. The only difference is that he tried to save himself from the ban; considering both sides were “trust me bro,” on it, the stupidity was on full display for both sides. The only thing is if Bungie had multiple years of evidence like they said, why was he banned only then instead of at least being black-listed from returning. At best, negligence on Bungie’s end. At worst, he was a scapegoat or free publicity for upcoming content.
@@exxy9931 more than likely they wanted enough evidence to be absolutely certain he couldn't try to claim defamation or some other crazy thing, and prior to the sony acquisition they prob weren't really all that worried about the leaks so they just didn't do anything about it and then sony prob cracked down on them after the poor lightfall performance and continued leaks
@@exxy9931 Because it takes a long time to try and find a mole. These summits can often involve a large amount of content creators and so trying to find the specific person leaking requires time. You have to look at all the leaks and trace them back to specific summits. Then look at everyone who was invited and see if there is a person who happened to be at all the summits that had info leaked from. The problem is that the same creators get invited back again and again so there were probably a handful of creators that were going to all the summits that had leaks.
Bungie's main reason for not sharing the evidence with the community was to prevent others from learning how to avoid detection, much like when they talk about how they implement anti-cheat stuff. That's why they never even mentioned the well-known taskbar thing in their official post. Also when they said they had collected evidence going back years, it doesn't mean they found the leaker years ago and just waited to ban them lmao. It means the evidence they found during the investigation was FROM years back.
They had ZERO EVIDENCE, I know for a fact it was not EK that leaked, The reason they did not say his name is because they have no evidence at all which in court would not hold up IF THEY HAD NAMED HIM. I could do the same thing to any of the big content creators and have already proved to more than a few that what they consider evidence is BULLSHIT. This community is so blinded, They bitch about Bungie and then want to give them a reach around... To many pay for services and they are at the mercy of those they hire to do the work on their rigs. " fps gains, setting up obs & and the list goes on" Now what would be the best way to get into someone's rig, offer service that sounds viable knowing there are more sinister things that will happen in the background. This can happen over years and is still happening to creators, and when you have community managers like Hippy and the other trashcan that got fired for their bullshit DRAMA crap pushing narratives to the community with nothing but a word for evidence. Which than trash-talked the same company they worked for "Bungie" saying how bad it was why would you even believe them. The fact is Bungie went out of their way to make a patsy out of EK wouldn't name him cause they knew that would go to court and they would lose. I have sent multiple emails and reached out to countless on the matter explaining and actually showing them how this could happen without the owner knowing. Over a 3-year period EK's PC was remote into 38 different times, He hired someone to give his PC more FPS. The person who installed Teamviewer "remote software " enabled it at startup, Hid it from task bar, and set a password for themselves. Every time EK booted this person had access to his desktop, with that sort of access the sky is the limit. Let me just say after reaching out more than a few Creators have reset their whole setups. EK offered for Bungie to take his PC and cell phone along with anything else they wanted, yet you didn't hear shit about that. A you were hearing was what the multiple community managers were saying " directed by Bungie" The same people that the community shit on multiple time for other reasons somehow become the light of truth ?????? WTF is that about.... Don't be so Blind this goes for everyone playing the game. >I< ZERO GAP
I remember the fraudulent copyright claims also hit Byf's MASSIVE EFFORT Dynasty video. I felt so bad for him because of how much time he spent on that video.
It hit my favourite music channel, Promethean, Archival Mind, who lost more or less 90% of his audio database because of it. A ton of that music was in removed parts of the game and he didn't have the original files archived, so it was just gone.
@@annoyingnessbeginswithme5698 Two other channels called "Last City Radio" and "Destiny Music Archive" have (re)uploaded a lot of it after the issue was resolved, might be worth taking a look. Especially LCR has most vaulted songs.
Considering false DMCA claims are criminal PERJURY, I am surprised no criminal action has been taken. It could be the perpetrator is not a US citizen, but I would hope they were still charged with the crimes.
The pizza thing is way worse than you make it out. It was a way of showing the community manager that he knew where he lived and therefore could send other more dangerous things or SWAT or doxx him.
@@digizilla164 DMG would consistently go on Reddit and consistently put ppl down for having different opinions. Not only that, but would block ppl on Twitter for asking about crucible maps. DMG would consistently poke at disgruntled players, and then when they clapped back, he would play the victim. He ended up costing Bungie money, so they didn't renew his contract. Eventually they fired all the other cms. Why? Because of DMG. They don't need CMs and they definitely don't need him.
Hi, personally impacted person by the Nazo incident here. While I definitely don't speak for everyone, the biggest hit taken for me was the betrayal. This man straight-up made a Discord group, invited all the Destiny music archivists in it, and pretended to not know what was happening. It was all a big mistake on his end, one born from one of CSC's legitimate ban waves the month prior, and I understand that frustration, but the lies and deception towards US, his supposed friends, made an already bad situation a dozen times worse. To put it bluntly, shit sucked.
The most amusing thing about Baken is that if he hadn't ego challenged dmg and just quietly made a new account he could have probably flown under the radar and kept things rolling with his channel.
Well if dmg didnt also have an ego, the situation would have been dealt in dms and baken would have silently disapeared until he made a new account that is. Instead we have the situation becoming mainstream and an other reason to hate dmg.
@@troudbalos333 tbh, the clap back from DMG was 100% warranted. he gave the customer service response the first time, and the cheater pushed it. Baken deserved to get clowned.
A friend of mine got banned because he unknowingly played with a cheater. He found someone through a lfg discord to play trials with when it first came out in destiny 2. The person was playing really, really good and he even got suspicious one time, but they promised him that it was 100% legit... Yeah, he got banned a few days later.
So he has suspicion and decided to keep playing? Sounds like your friends an idiot. Bungie are VERY clear about partying up with cheaters. Use your brain and you ain’t be banned 😑
For real.. cant they include it in a dlc pre order for a future dlc and make the old dungeon keys free to everyone and also make the current dungeon key be unlockable by owning the season pass? Bungie is so greedy for this
Because Bungie is the most anti-consumer company in all of gaming. They just want your money, and sadly so many of you will mindlessly give it to them after they've stolen half of your game.
My sibling and I used to split our deluxe purchases for dlcs and pay on one account until seasons and dungeons weren't available for both of us anymore. Edit our reason was it's a game we both played and we'd split the cost on on games we both wanted to play on our Playstations
Always surprised that no one ever talks about the Saltegreppo's world's first raid team has had two of its members banned for cheats. Surprised the rest of the teams worlds firsts haven't come into question at this point.
Wow, I didn't know about the first one. Between that and being behind in one of the raids, not even top 5 at that point but magically coming from behind and winning by a few minutes in combination with viewers watching other streamers and then telling them mechanics they were stuck on, I really don't get the clout or revere they're given by so many in tbe community. Not to mention the constant complaining just because they find it boring despite playing it probably 60% more than normal people.
1 ban was for for recovs and the other was for running a software that cant really do anything to D2 but is used for other games. First one was deserved but not cheating and 2nd was probably deserved aswell because it is technically against TOS but a lifetime ban for that is insane. Bungie also wouldnt send the belts if the world first had any reason to believe its cheated so the world firsts were obtained legit
@MrAhds Yah every cheater always denies or plays it off like it was something else or they weren't cheating, until bungie lights their ass up. I know he got banned for using cheats for "another game" and having the software open. But like you said, perma ban seems alittle extreme for that if that's the case. You figured he'd fight them for just a temporary one or atleast being able to play a different account. But he didn't put up a fight at all. Personally I think he knew bungie would light his ass up with some other stuff they didn't announce cuz they were trying to keep it civil. 1 time it's a fluke. Twice is quite the coincidence. I've watched alot of stuff about cheaters and how they cheat. And this stuff reeks of it.
biggest drama for me? removing content you paid for under the pretense "sorry, file size too big", they could have made it all optional downloads, but nope, they decided it had to be completely deleted from the game. we're apparently sueing ubisoft for shutting down a dead game, but we do nothing to bungie when they do the same thing to a very much alive game? it doesn't make sense.
Completely agree but it's apples to oranges. Even in places with incredibly strong consumer protection laws, it generally boils down to "Is game still playable?" If yes, nothing can be done. If no, you've got a long uphill fight to get restitution as no clear legislation leaves a lot of legal grey area that needs to be traversed to reach a positive outcome for gamers. Also, outcomes heavily depend on a corporations own country's consumer protection laws. Bungie being based in the US means they basically have a free ride to do whatever as US consumer protection laws aren't great. They can just tweak regional specific things where necessary to avoid breaking laws in other countries. Ubisoft being based in France/EU though is literally the golden goose egg of opportunities as EU has some of the strongest consumer protection laws around.
Funny thing is there are larger games, bungie just doesn't want to pay the PS and xbox fees for large updates and installs. The larger the updates the more they have to pay sony and Microsoft. I still think it's bullshit we lost old content with no discounts or free dlc. Bungie should be sued by the player base to make the new dlc free
@@TheShahkuluwhich isn’t even remotely a bad thing if I’m being honest it just leads to more optimization, doesn’t take any skill out of the game, and is completely harmless. Best example I can think of is limiting motes in garden which makes it a bit easier and saves time which really adds up when you’re doing it dozens of times. I know people will probably disagree though because speenrunner bad! And cheating is cheating! Ringing on the other hand is horrible for the game and should lead to bans.
the sunsetting gimmick reallly had me questioning. shortly after i didnt bother logging back in. didnt vault clean, glad i didnt, but still no real reason to come back as of yet..
They recently reversed Sunsetting and said they'll never do that again. So I'm back and playing with my favorite hard earned items. But it's really up to the person if they want to come back. I'm just here to finish the story I started years ago. Here to experience The Final Shape expansion, and then afterwards idk.
What's really funny about the destiny starter pack is that if they had just put it in the eververse with just the sparrow ship and ghost for 1500 silver no one would of batted an eye
Speaking of Pay to win... remember when Chaperone had an ornament that extended the barrel and actually effected the range of the shotgun, giving it even more range?
Panama Ravine, wasn't silver only and I think you could even get it from the Prismatic Matrix when that was still a thing, but yeah a rarer scenario where the ornament actually made a huge difference.
This happens a lot with many ornaments, especially those that change the weapon model drastically. Not only can you get a "less bulky" skin for your exotic, or one with cleaner sights, but you can also end up with one that extends/shrinks the barrel and impacts its effective range because the game calculates damage falloff from the end of the barrel instead of from a fixed point. Bungie cares more about cranking out these skins than they do maintaining balance. There's no way these were intentionally P2W. Bungie doesn't plan that far ahead.
you didn't mention one of the worst scandal Bungie ever did to the players: The Destiny Content Vault, where Bungie made Destiny 2 "free" and deleted at least 1/3 of content for the players to never see again, despite having paid money for such content.

I know another small controversy that happened was for the World's First clear of Prestige Leviathan. Redeem cleared it(As was the style at the time), but one of the members used the old Wardcliff Coil barricade glitch to essentially get infinite ammo, which lead to controversy. I think Bungie solved the issue by listing out all of the streams that cleared the raid closest to World's First and told players to make their own conclusion on who the winner was.

I have played destiny since the very first open beta for destiny 1 way back in 2014. I took a break between year one of D2 and Forsaken, but I did come back when Forsaken was anounced, and I caught up before it released. Destiny has been an absolute rollercoaster. Its wild to go back over all the BS and crazy stuff that has happened over the last decade because I remember all this stuff. I kept up with all of it the entire time. The only in game event that I missed was the spring one where arbalest was introduced. I played through every season, every pvp meta, every raid, almost every controversy. It has been an absolutely wild journey with so many ups and downs, but ultimatwly it has been a source of joy in my life. I treat it like an rpg now. I really like to immerse myself in the world, play my build like I really would if I was actually a guardian myself. There have always been ups and downs. The lows are LOW, but the highs are like nothing else in videogame history. The worst thing about it for me right now is the community itself honestly. Even after all the crap that happens behind the scenes and all the scandals and stuff, I find that the general player-base might be what really gets me to quit for good, if I ever do. I just have a hard time finding decent players who are generally more positive to interact with than negative. At the end of the day, I just want to rollplay a space wizard who slays alien gods with space magic and future weapons, and I dont want to get yelled at, or have slurs hurled at me, or have someone tell me to adjust my build, or adjust my fashion. I just wanna chill out and do raids and have a fun time. Why is that so hard nowadays in destiny?
It's always wild to me when I see people at any point in the last few years say that the game is in a worse state than vanilla D2. People forget how incredibly bad the game was. Snipers and shottys in the heavy slot, 6 total subclass options with no customization whatsoever, fixed rolls on every gun, effectively no endgame, NO SPARROW FOR THE FIRST 15 HOURS OF THE GAME! I wouldn't be surprised if we get Destiny 3 in the next two years, but never forget how big of a miracle it is that the series managed to pull out of that big of a rut.
And then there's the recent layoffs. Economy and Sony reqs be damned, you have to be cesspool dwelling scum to layoff some of the vets that were removed that day, such as Michael Salvatori.
From what ive gathered is the creator of this video is a bungie boot licker and white knights bungie as he sticks by their side on banning people who have been banned without actual proof and was banned on a guess or just because bungie felt to lazy to look into it more

So your at the power cap being at 1810. Now here's the thing about the 'microtransactions' that people complain about. 1. You can usually find great deals on like humble bundle or sales that make it alot cheaper to get the expansions. 2. Alot of people blow the microtransactions for cosmetics out of proportions. The game is ftp once you buy it bam! You have it no sub fee no nothing....so how do they keep people employed? Not like there's a couple thousand players paying 15 bucks a month to play...all the money to keep the lights on and people paid is thru the store.
I will say, the dlc are expensive but they all are like 5-10 hours of story content each. The cosmetics do cost money but you can either get lucky with bright engrams or wait for when they sale for bright dust. There is also still a bit of content for ftp players.
@yamiangelous And that's just story. I got 1200 hours in the game and only played casually during forsaken and started for real mid witch queen, aka did not play before Forsaken.

armor sunsetting happened because of armor mods like charged with light and warmind cells, and they even stated later when deleting warmind cells from the game that the whole reason they made those systems was because they were only ever planned to be temporary, and thus would not be a constant factor in game balance. i dont agree with it, but thats the reason they sunset armor. we didnt used to have universal armor mods, you could slot seasonal mods in on armor from one season before and after and that was it.

So, in the corporate leadership sphere they WANT to massively overproject success and strong returns. They will make their analysis staff use bloated data to put on a front that this release will be incredibly successful in order to drive up share prices and get investors and shareholders excited. They use this time to offload some shares and pocket a strong return. Its a Win-Win situation for them. Either the product fails and they make cuts on the ground floor where it doesn't affect their bottom line OR it's a strong success and they get praise and a good bonus at the end of the FY. Either way, they make a good amount of cash up front, with no downsides and only the potential to make more money. That's corporate leadership right there, and why they will never make conservative sales estimates. The top of the ladder isn't a group of leaders, it's a bunch of individuals trying to make as much money for themselves as humanly possible.
Going to be honest, regarding the Baken one, he honestly was not that good without cheats. Played against him prior to the ban where my friends and I (1 average, 2 above average players) just ran over him using Rat King on Widows Court
The first time I launched Destiny2 (and last). I was bombarded with "buy our dlc", "look at this cool bundle you can buy" banner popups like something from a mobile game.
I'm not surprised Bungie wrongly banned people here. Back when they made Halo Reach, they had safe zones in Firefight that players could use to hide from enemies, then they later reset the ranks of people suspected of using the zones they put in the game. Very weird type of ego trip there. Seems they still haven't changed
Yeah Baken was massively disappointing, and he was given an opportunity to just quietly put it behind him, but he had to double and then triple down on denying it publicly, dude deserved to take such a massive L for being so unbelievably arrogant as to say "prove it" knowing he was cheating
Honestly, biggest one was the SNTR/Lono drama. Bunch of false allegations, Chris Barrett and his wife being bitches, loads of content creators getting in on it and making up stuff. It was an is still an insane topic to talk about
SNTR is a disgusting person who does not have a place in the destiny community. He openly admitted in his apology to sexual assault and his ban/the drama surrounding him was 100% justified.
I decided to go see how his channel was doing since you reminded me of that whole situation. His SNTR channel doesn't exist and he's rebranded. His new YT channel isn't doing very well though he might still be streaming. Idk I don't use Twitch anymore and haven't for a long time. That was a messy situation. It sounds like he flirted with a couple of girls from the Destiny community and they decided to ruin his career over it. A little bit of truth mixed with a whole lot of lies seems to be how that unfolded.
That scumbag Paul Tassi got his start because of Lono and he threw him under the bus with everyone else when Barrets wife was the one being a whore in his DMs. Snaps or whatever she called herself had well known mental issues and they believed her even crazier.
Hahaha, I think he was right to avoid it. He would have been completely ostracised if he mentioned that serval prominent destiny figures made false claims.

I still remember the divinity drama. My take on that fiasco was that sure, div might have been too strong, but saltagreppo had the wrong argument when he said he was bored of using it to get world’s first
Yeah the stupidity of his issue about divinity, was no one was forcing you to use that weapon. Make the game fun for yourself and use different strategies or play styles. It’s bs that the top 1% control everything for everyone else. No one else had an issue with it besides him and they followed through with his issue/fix.
@@makingacomment Nah, it was an issue for everyone else too. Not only was Div the strongest debuff AND made a massive crit spot, it was also extremely boring to use. Now we actually get to think about what debuff to use since they all have tradeoffs... and the alternatives are much funner than knowing someone is going to have to just shoot div during dps. Your tether hunter, tractor cannon user or weaken provider can still have fun doing regular damage. Also the "just use other stuff lol" argument is completely invalid. Do you really expect people competing for a world's first title to not use the best thing available? If a pro basketball player is complaining about being bored in the finals, would you tell them to play blindfolded? Such a silly argument.
@@Bidniss. The divinity was the same 30% global debuff as tether and tractor before the nerf so arguing it was the “Strongest Debuff” is a front faced half researched counter argument. Yeah it created a big crit cage. But that’s your thing dude if it was “too boring to use”. The only enemies it was actually beneficial that it made it an easier target was bosses like the Ghost of the Deep Final Boss, IR Yut and Atraks from Deep Stone Crypt. Every other single enemy in the game was big enough to use a tractor cannon or tether and have the same results. Sure you are making your team add more variables for consistent debuffs. At that point having to shoot tractor or having 2-3 Hunters with tether reapply a debuff every 20 seconds or a 8 seconds on tractor cannon is a laziness issue. Look it the set up for the strongest dps class in the game. Talking Titan with one to punch Syntho/Wormgod and tractor. Same concept. You have a decent amount of setup. But that’s the issue with people in this community. They all have their own stance on what is casual, broken or needs to be buffed. No one will ever be able to fully agree on anything. Going back to applying a debuff every 8-20 seconds between Hunter Tether and Tractor Cannon. You can argue that same point and say after you get use to the setup and how to consistently use it. “It’s too easy it needs a nerf 🤓😭” If you genuinely are playing that much and get bored or want everything tweaked you’re ruining it for the general community or casual player base it’s an elitist perspective problem. People want/need options. That partially is/isn’t the case now after the nerf. I’ll explain that in a bit. No one has a gun to your head forcing you to use that setup. Your argument about “if a pro basketball player is bored have him blindfold himself.” That just proved my argument. This isn’t a competition or a sport. It’s a video game. That counter argument doesn’t carry the fullest validity as you think. YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD AND WHAT ISN’T. IM IMAGINING YOU’VE PLAYED THE GAME LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT ELSE YOU CAN USE. You sit there and act like I’m telling you to forget everything you know and go full cave man and not play the game with guns or the way it was meant to be played. But making the exotic not an exotic and ruining that sense of the power fantasy and chase behind the weapon is what wasted how many of peoples time. Now I hope you realize just because it’s nerfed this whole conversation is MUTE. Because: The strongest debuff takes president in a given situation. What does this mean? If you apply a tether which is ALMOST always the case for boss dps phases for fireteam stacks. That tether will supersede that DIVINITY you use with it. Again you can boast that it’s too much setup and blindfolding you but that’s pathetic or that “you have to actually think about what debuff to use” is wild. 90% or more of fireteams you operate with have that setup even in raids/nightfalls etc. sure some Hunters don’t always run NightStalker in casual content for obvious reasons. So a lot of them running Golden Gun. But in GMs and Raids that’s majority of the cases hence why I said 90%. So to say “it’s too much setup!! or a handicap” is a lazy argument. You don’t see people as titan mains begging for nerfs of builds/setups to those highest dps classes saying “It’s too boring!” They just move to something else. Like solar bonk, strand or stasis and that’s it. Lastly you’ve literally backed what I’ve stated about hunters or tractor so…. To come back and go back on that you exemplified that yourself. So you’re open to the idea or running it and not having an issue. Partially assuming there.
@@Bidniss. Last point. You said that it was boring standing there shooting a crit cage. When literally every boss in the you setup your buff debuff then stand still and do damage. Surprised you got bored of the bubble debuff shooting and not bored of standing still for 7 plus years and doing damage. Crazy. That whole pro basketball blindfold argument we aren’t running around. Sure to setup for dps or to go through mechanics. But that’s it, you have to do the thing to get to do the thing. You’re shooting free throws objectively.
Funny thing, that ban wave where d2 gunsmith guy got banned, I also got banned and then later unbanned. They said they were going to reach out to everyone affected, but they never did... They also denied all of my appeals, but unbanned me anyway. I'm still upset about it almost two years later.
Fun fact about the layoff. Bungie withheld information about the layoffs until just a few days before actually doing them. And then, to top it off, they deliberately did them at the end of the month so they didnt have to payout the benefits to the employees that were being let go in the first place
D2s release had to be the biggest scandal of all. After one of the worst launches in gaming history In D1, you’d think they’d have figured out how to release a content complete game. D2 releases for $60 having even less content and a worse story. To top it all off they made the base game free after no time at all and just pocketed the money from the pre orders. How this isn’t straight up illegal is beyond me…
God I don’t miss the public event grinding days. D2 was really something back then. Shoutout to Origin Story for hauling ass in Crucible, Nightwatch for carrying me through Leviathan, and Merciless being top tier heavy DPS.
Bungie: You did bad thing, banned! Banned Player: No I didn't? Please explain & prove it. Bungie: No Community: Wow Bungie, you guys are great! Good job!
Honestly, you could make a part 2 and 3 to this video with the amount of controversies in D2, e.g. the multiple cases of SA and inappropriate contact with minors perpetuated by community members which even promoted Bungie to include a statement in the TWAB, Esoterickk cheating on and then gaslighting his wife for some e-girl, the disgusting schnell incident that came up recently.
19:58 glad someone spoke about this, so many talented players and editors screwed over. real ones knew g1 wasnt all that when the best members of the prior team were missing. SoaR, Exile, Solve and Revere bled passion, teams have always been small appealing to a minority, but man.. it was so fun.
You know, one of the biggest false bans that never gets mentioned is what happened to Say no to rage ( a youtuber who got falsely accused of multiple different things and despite having proof he didnt actually do what he was accused of ) was developer banned ( and he literally cant appeal as the ban due to the appeal system not recognizing the ban ). It never gets mentioned despite it being pretty blatantly a false ban.
He was not falsely accused, he had SEVERAL women accuse him of sexual assault/harassment and was punished by bungie accordingly. People like him don’t belong In this community.
I dunno about that, his apology video is still up somewhere and he still doing his content in his unique way that really isn't for me or many people. honestly I think the man needs some help (don't we all).
Bungie: "We issued out a couple bans. If you got banned, get fucked." Community: "Explain the reason for my ban." Bungie: "We decided there doesn't have to be a reason."
The XP Throttling thing never happened. They were testing the Well-Rested buff before it went live. We weren't being slowed as we played, we were being boosted up front.
14:22 Pretty pissed about the recent sunsetting thing. Didn't really bother me THAT much as they were being sunset, and managed to keep most of mine.. until literally just a couple weeks before this announcement. Their constant refusal to MEANINGFULLY increase vault space led to me constantly losing loot in my postmaster because I didn't have anymore room left to send items anywhere. And I hardly even play anymore. Maybe a couple hours at a time. Hopefully, if FS is worth it to me, they'll finally address this with the removal of power caps on old weapons. With this change, players have never needed more vault space than they do now, after a decade of loot grinding and now being told that all weapons are relevant again. With the new expansion and "episodes" there should be a plethora of new loot over the next year and having to constantly choose on the fly what you want to keep not being an issue any longer would be really nice. Even for a basically retired guardian.
The DMG Pizza incident made me *livid*. Dude already has to deal with lots of BS from the community, and then the Pizza incident happened. I still follow him on LinkedIn because he just seems like a cool dude, but man do I feel freaking awful for him and his family.
Lono’s entire situation is such bullshit, he didn’t even do anything that bad, the worst he did was make some people uncomfortable, and the fact he got banned for it was crazy, it was just a coordinated attack to take out a top streamer that wasn’t liked by Goth, DrLupo, Snaps, Jewels, SarahDaniels(who is/was married to Christopher Barrett) who was a top guy working on Destiny and a few others, Absolute insanity.
I held on to most all the old weapons I really liked, but I noticed a lot of them have changed perks from what they had originally. I had duplicate weapons with different perks before, only to find them exactly the same after the unsunsetting. Still nice to have them back, though - felt good pulling out my old Hammerhead again :D
i can relate to the yter beeing falsely banned, my first d2 acc got banned for beeing in a strike with a cheater (i was afk so i didnt even know) appealed and denied (1252 hours gone) made a 2nd acc saw a cheater madly flying around in pvp, reported him, I got banned ig for that cuz theres no other reason, appealed and denied again (another 1450 hours gone) im on my third fucking acc now and a lil over hundred hours in, its js so painful to get banned for doing nothing js to appeal and getting denied by a fking bot ig so i fr lost 2702 hours of my life and multiple hundred euros js bc other ppl were cheating gg bungie EDIT nvm i cant relate to him since apparently he did cheat, i did never nor do i nor will i ever ppl who cheat have accomplished nothing in life
i do not trust the anti cheat detection as two of my friends got banned over the years, one of which hadn't set foot into crucible in 3 years at that point and quite frankly, was literally just "a guy" in terms of PVE accomplishments, barely raided. The other was an unironic god in PVE and PVE with an unreal level of game knowledge. Managed to coach me and several clanmates to getting our first Lighthouse runs and flawless raids. Not carried by him. His coaching alone was enough for that. So yeah. I am inclined to believe ppl when they get banned and claim they didn't cheat
They have a weird anti cheat then wtf? I’ve played 2 cheaters ever in crucible(literally flying around with aimbot) and never been banned. Reported them and even stayed the whole match. Yet like you said there’s people who get banned by matching against a cheater
The only gripe I have with that whole false DMCA thing... Was that the person in question was the only one who ever released extended versions of the Destiny OSTs. But seeing as they're gone, those are gone too. And that's the only issue I have with it because sometimes I'd very much would've enjoyed listening to one of the D1 or D2 songs for more than however long they normally are.
I personally think that Destiny 3 will be the next content after The Final Shape, but I'm finished after The Final Shape. Only sticking around because I'm invested in the story, but the company and game, with the content sunsetting, predatory microtransactions, and ignoring the player base has soured me completely on Bungie. Sigh, I miss the Red War. What an amazing start to a game...

I got banned for speed running lost sectors TWICE. The first time on an 2000+ hours played account that spanned D1 and D2 for YEARS. No recourse whatsoever. Grudgingly returned some time later, played for months getting all the items and achievements back I had lost, and then it happend again exactly the same... after speed running Skydock IV like 20+ times one night all under a couple of minutes each because Bungie's terrible azz code lets you... next day, "Not so fast...". Have never, and will never, play Destiny again.
I remember getting my prosecutor, revoked, recluse, and grinding for them all. And then it got sunset I think the next season, and then I came back a year or two later and it turns out it’s back and I had trouble trying to get them back. It was really disheartening when I’ve played for the last 10 years with only a real break from between 2020- to late 2022.
More often then not, if they ban someone for cheating, leaking information, or especially filing lawsuits, the dude is guilty af. Tale as old as gaming time. If they get banned for cheating, that dude is definitely cheating. Notice how these "good players" never do make a kill montage with live play huh? Or these random "he's just a good player" people somehow are that good, yet not on a sponsored team and never play at live events. They never are "just that good." They are cheaters.

The most amusing thing about Baken is that if he hadn't ego challenged dmg and just quietly made a new account he could have probably flown under the radar and kept things rolling with his channel.

One thing that really pissed me off is the dungeon keys, why do I have to buy a season pass and then as well a dungeon key?
For real.. cant they include it in a dlc pre order for a future dlc and make the old dungeon keys free to everyone and also make the current dungeon key be unlockable by owning the season pass? Bungie is so greedy for this
Because Bungie is the most anti-consumer company in all of gaming. They just want your money, and sadly so many of you will mindlessly give it to them after they've stolen half of your game.
It’s the one huge thing I still despise because it didn’t use to be that way. At least Into The Light is amazing.
My sibling and I used to split our deluxe purchases for dlcs and pay on one account until seasons and dungeons weren't available for both of us anymore.
Edit our reason was it's a game we both played and we'd split the cost on on games we both wanted to play on our Playstations
And when i bought the game i owned it, but now i have to pay 20 bucks for each dungeon i already owned? Ridiculous..
Bungie also wouldnt send the belts if the world first had any reason to believe its cheated so the world firsts were obtained legit
false information.
Womp Womp don’t have cheats open when you launch an online game
Yep. It's literal theft and made Bungie one of the biggest evils in all of gaming.
Funny thing is there are larger games, bungie just doesn't want to pay the PS and xbox fees for large updates and installs. The larger the updates the more they have to pay sony and Microsoft.

That ornament was "fixed" 2 times already, last I checked it after most recent fix, it still increases range lol

Awwww no sparrow for the first 15h of the game

So your at the power cap being at 1810.

If Lono being witch hunted and banned isn't on here it's not telling a massive scandal Bungie can't fully sweep under the rug.
12:36 the worst part of this was Bungie stated that they would not sunset guns and reissue them, which they immediately did. They also never acknowledged that sunsetting guns versus armor made no sense at all. There was no reason to ever sunset armor since newer armor would just objectively be better IF players grinded for new god rolls.

@@ExpressoPie @reforgegamimg
armor sunsetting happened because of armor mods like charged with light and warmind cells, and they even stated later when deleting warmind cells from the game that the whole reason they made those systems was because they were only ever planned to be temporary, and thus would not be a constant factor in game balance. i dont agree with it, but thats the reason they sunset armor. we didnt used to have universal armor mods, you could slot seasonal mods in on armor from one season before and after and that was it.

Yeah. They overinflated their projections to benefit the share price.
That SBI stench is what's ruining Destiny

Honestly, biggest one was the SNTR/Lono drama. Bunch of false allegations, Chris Barrett and his wife being bitches, loads of content creators getting in on it and making up stuff. It was an is still an insane topic to talk about
That whole situation was insane

I still remember the divinity drama. My take on that fiasco was that sure, div might have been too strong, but saltagreppo had the wrong argument when he said he was bored of using it to get world’s first
His Argument was that it was a must use in every Bossfight due to the linear Meta... Would be fine today with Rocket and gl
“It’s too easy it needs a nerf 🤓😭”
If you genuinely are playing that much and get bored or want everything tweaked you’re ruining it for the general community or casual player base it’s an elitist perspective problem.
Because:
The strongest debuff takes president in a given situation.
You don’t see people as titan mains begging for nerfs of builds/setups to those highest dps classes saying
“It’s too boring!”
They just move to something else.

Pretty pissed about the recent sunsetting thing.
Sounds like a well deserved ban to me 🤣
I held on to most all the old weapons I really liked, but I noticed a lot of them have changed perks from what they had originally. I had duplicate weapons with different perks before, only to find them exactly the same after the unsunsetting. Still nice to have them back, though - felt good pulling out my old Hammerhead again :D
i can relate to the yter beeing falsely banned, my first d2 acc got banned for beeing in a strike with a cheater (i was afk so i didnt even know) appealed and denied (1252 hours gone)
made a 2nd acc saw a cheater madly flying around in pvp, reported him, I got banned ig for that cuz theres no other reason, appealed and denied again (another 1450 hours gone)
im on my third fucking acc now and a lil over hundred hours in, its js so painful to get banned for doing nothing js to appeal and getting denied by a fking bot ig so i fr lost 2702 hours of my life and multiple hundred euros js bc other ppl were cheating gg bungie
EDIT nvm i cant relate to him since apparently he did cheat, i did never nor do i nor will i ever ppl who cheat have accomplished nothing in life
Your experiences must be rare exceptions, because the last time I did see a cheater was when Fallout Plays posted his Trials cheater video in 2018(?)
i do not trust the anti cheat detection as two of my friends got banned over the years, one of which hadn't set foot into crucible in 3 years at that point and quite frankly, was literally just "a guy" in terms of PVE accomplishments, barely raided.
Destiny 3 isn't happening.
@@leonseuropeanislandadventu7398 Destiny 3 is all but confirmed at this point. there's no way bungie would give up their biggest cash cow. That's like saying Rockstar is going to take out shark cards in GTA6.
There will be no D3, devs said that...

Lono definitely was screwed
Amen 🙌
I remember getting my prosecutor, revoked, recluse, and grinding for them all. And then it got sunset I think the next season, and then I came back a year or two later and it turns out it’s back and I had trouble trying to get them back. It was really disheartening when I’ve played for the last 10 years with only a real break from between 2020- to late 2022.
The banning of D2Gunsmith led to the creation of D2Foundry so I can't really be too mad
See that guy with the 20-1 kill count in your match? Yes, he's cheating
Destiny’s whole existence is a controversy
3:44 I know what happened is bad but that onocking part is hilarious lmao
Bungie deserves everything they get
Yeah bro sure. Your life is too tied into videos games
@austinbryant4242 no actually quite the opposite. But the way bungie treats is customers is atrocious.
