I find it hilarious that it's based entirely on the movement and not the intention, so if you push a Hunter over and they do a forward roll you can make them waste their Gambler's Dodge lmfao
i like to think that it actually wasnt his ddodge activating. but that all of his weapons had pulse monitor on them and that shaxx hit him so hard that he broke his shields

As an upgrade from the stag rift in the tower, you can swap to boots of the assembler and quickly go back to your rift to theoretically make the it extend indefinitely via the healing seekers, which is extremely effective at confusing blueberries

the reload speed of ex diris, an auto-reloading weapon that you physically cannot reload, is set to 69. this means it's definitely on purpose.

That picture is actually a memorial. When the forsaken campaign was in the game, that picture wouldnt actually appear until you reached the campaign, alongside the plaque by zavala. So it was more of a... posthumous gesture of appreciation
As someone who owns the Destiny Cookbook, I can confirm that making the spicy ramen took forever. Totally worth it though

Female Cabal are the only ones to naturally grow tusks, and the final boss of the Proving Grounds strike has tusks on his helmet, making him Caiatl's chosen femboy
I think the craziest thing of all is that your interact button is mapped to LT in one of the clips
so in revive modes like trials, it is really important to be able to get a revive while also fighting back. This allows me to do that :)

Also, "just" play claw? Claw doesn't feel natural for most people, so rebinding 1 input is infinitely simpler than learning a whole new controller method

13:53 Lore fact: That bug is Omar Agah, a former member of Eris's fireteam. This means, counting Eris and Toland, half of that fireteam still lives in some form or fashion. However, don't worry about little ol' Omar. In the gun's loretab, he states that he doesn't mind his new form because he's still able to get vengeance on the Hive for what they did.

You can see mars from the moon in D1 but you can't see mars from the moon in D2
D1 had a neat detail where if the hand cannon you were using had hair trigger, you could no longer slightly pull down the trigger and cause the hammer to come back half way, it would just go off immediately.
You can do the same thing in D2 with controllers!

there are multiple weapons produced by hakke with virtually the same model, and at least two auto rifles that are exactly the same, and there are several weapon crates from hakke around the tower, implying that the Vanguard is being scammed

Scorn shields being dead Servitors is honestly cool af
Gjallerhorn Wolfpack rounds are little wolf heads that growl. I was in dares of eternity when the game crashed/lagged out but I was still able to walk around similar to those videos where someone will lag switch in a CoD game to show the missile or ac130 rounds before impact.
One thing you missed along the lines of rifting in the tower: If you equip blink and a sword then take your sword out it allows you to blink in some destinations you couldn’t normally.
I use this trick to get around the helm all the time but it works in other situations as well like certain mission zones that usually lock out your abilities.
The sugar cube you give to star horse is from either festival of the lost or the dawning (I believe the former). It would give you some goodies back during that event. That you can still give him the cube from time to time is a bug they never bothered to patch
I've got to be honest, I've had to give the cube EVERY time I've went to Starhorse.
It happens every time for me.

The "Cosmic Sugar Cube" is Starhorse's Dawning present since we can't bake cookies for it.

12:47 to one up this, the Omnioculus Mask (universal ornament from eververse) will remove the hood part of cloaks, meaning that if you equip something like the refugee’s cloak, you’ll have no cape and no hood. I sometimes rock this look.
Fun fact that i found out when this dlc launched is that The « Festival dance » emote is the only emote that has been completely changed, it no longer has it’s old animation but replaced with an entirely new one.
I like the fact that Lord Saladin is voiced by the same guy as Reaper from Overwatch and during crucible matches if you get We Ran Out Of Medals has a chance of going "DIE, DIE, DI - sorry. I've, uh, I've been watching too many Iron Banner matches. What time is it? Shaxx? Shaxx, are you there? Can you get me a water? Stop yelling; it's just a question. I'M NOT OLD."
Here's a few that come to mind.
- Winterbite's Stasis effect lingers during emotions.
- The Felwinter Exotic Gauntlets have an ornament that cannot been entirely seen in the preview menu.
- The Tower Location Icon moved with Lightfall release.
- Shaxx has three horns.
- Somewhere, there is a number of players with every major NPC or Boss name.
- Rhulk and Nezarc both have Ankle Bands and turn into spaghetti upon death.
- Warlocks have more Robes then Non-Robes.
- The Drifter has, in fact, eaten Hatchlings.
- Cayde and Shaxx had a special sparrow for the Dodge-ball event and were escorted by Redjacks.
- Xivu Wrath only speaks in CAPS.
- Glorbo was the name of a test screeb.
- Telesto has canonical broken the Fourth Wall.
- Pre-order exotics for expansion have always had some major bug. (No, Ostera Striga doesn't count. It was not obtainable upon pre-order)
- Most NPC's have billions of Cookies from the Dawning.
- We have a Rock Ship (and get it off my map).
- We have only one Raid that has not reprised from D1.
- Nightfalls are canonical.
Making that spicy ramen sounds like a lite version of grinding Sleeper Simulant's old catalyst
Me and my sister actually bought the book and we did cook the spicy cayde-6 ramen, ofc we call it that because it is his favorite, and i gotta say it was our favorite dish and the best one so far. me and my sister swore to make it every Destiny dawning event that is coming and will enjoy it while it lasts 😊❤
The Trials resetting tip will same me hours each season. I reset a lot.

the fact about the energy weapons facing one way in the character screen can flip if having the right ornaments like the until its return and its ornament
The yellow tank in the intro sequence of the "Ghosts of the deep" Dungeon is the same tank from a red war campaign mission called "Utopia"
There used to be Faction-unique ornaments that you could only acquire through reaching max loyalty with your faction wayyy back in the faction wars.
That could only be applied to your faction armor

14:10 that tiny detail about the hammer, cylinder, and hands blew my mind when I discovered it/was told about it. I was complaining about Ace of Spades being such an incredible weapon but was missing the detail of the hammer and cylinder. My friend then says "ummm aktchually on controller it does" I went and tested it and was blown away. I then spent like 30 minutes testing controller vs mnk animations. The ironic part is my favorite exotic is sunshot (has been since I started playing in 2020) but I feel the devs put too much love into it making its animations a little too exciting which makes the gun kinda hard to use in PvP. I mean I got used to it but its still kinda wild.

The terminal in the old Zero Hour mission at the TR3-VR section would show you where nearly everything in the room was.
8:36 There's a very small handful of guns that don't adhere to this rule, & it kinda drives me crazy lol For example, if you equip the Spare Rations ornament on Targeted Redaction, it'll flip the icon to point left as if it's a Kinetic weapon (like the original Spare Rations). I think this applies to most (if not all) S21 Taken weapons, & I want to say there's more but I can't recall them atm

The turn around robe thing is most likely because the physics for the cloth is turned off when not on screen to save resources, and when it gets reactivated, it causes that. It is very common in many games.
That bit with the hive worms could actually come in handy one day. I’ll be sure to remember it!
All snipers in Destiny 2 have scopes.
Oh and as for removing cloaks entirely, you can remove your hunter class item COMPLETELY by using the Coutourier helmet. For some reason it removes the top part of all cloaks. If you use a cloak that doesn't have any other parts to it like the Legatus cloak. However my favourite personal use for it is to have a stylish afghan scarf effect by using the coutourier helmet with the Refugee Cloak. Throw in Veist Fieldscale camo and you have yourself the perfect camo afghan scarf look to compliment your hunter vibe. Oh and this effect is intentional, because on the Whisper Of The Victor cloak, the cloak is still actually visible but it's folded down and hanging behind you. This is the ONLY cloak that has this up/down hood behaviour that i know of. If anyone has other examples please let me know. I only have limited transmog options available as a somewhat casual player and i've missed some seasons.
Also your Eververse calculations are WAY low because that doesn't include any of the event items that are only available to see in the store during their related events, and there's a fuck tonne of items for silver for every event these days (that's the only thing bungie bothers to update for the event every single time it rolls around, unlike, y'know... the gameplay, or content at all). If you include all the event sets and emotes and finishers and items etc, including the halloween masks that actually cost silver (why the fuck would anyone pay REAL MONEY for a halloween mask you can't even use the rest of the year????) then it would probably be double that amount.

Odds to get a 5/5 roll on a playlist gun with additional perks (i.e. for double perk roll, assuming both columns have 2 choices):
No additional choices - 1/9072
2 perks - 1/2268
3 perks ~ 1/1046
If you want to min/max your time with trying to get the exact roll you want, I would recommend saving your vendor engrams until you have reset that playlist's rank twice. Going from 1/9072 to 1/2268 is a MUCH greater difference than from going from 2 to 3, so if you wanted a bottom dollar, reset gambit rank twice (ouch) and then focus it a bunch of times (at that point you should have between 30 and 40 engrams, let's say 35 for argument's sake) and never play it again.
Odds to get a 3/5 roll for same situation (main perks + barrel. that's all you need imo):
no additional choices - 1/648
2 perks - 1/162
3 perks ~ 1/75
The Metropolitan acoustics shader is a direct reference to the team in color and in name. Metropolitan=city=seattle, Acoustics=sound=sounders.

The Accident Counter in the Hangar resets whenever a guardian dies in the Tower. I've never seen it higher than 3. I fell off the platforms trying to explore for secrets, and when I respawned, the sign said "Days since last accident 00"

fun fact about the weapon facing different directions for kinetic and energy slots. you can equip some of the old gambit ornaments on the season of the deep weapons, which will make some of the icons face the opposite direction, since the original weapons the ornaments were made for were in a different slot

It happens with just about any still characters with free physics fabric. If u have a wide enough fov, you could look at the very edge of the screen of a player in the tower and youll notice eventually the idle animation stops and theyre completely still. Looking them back resets them and also causes the fabric stuttering

There is also a snowbank area on Europa slightly off the main paths. That you are able to walk in and draw in the snow like the swamp that was mentioned in this video.
There is only one gun in Destiny 2 with “Shadow” in its name and it is the legendary auto rifle “ Shadow Price”

fun fact about the direction of kinetic weapons and energy weapons, the Trespasser on realease faced the incorrect way (to the left like a kinetic even though its an energy weapon)
if you turn the Precious Scars Titan exotic helmet so your character is facing to the left, you can see a little symbol with “Y5” directly underneath it. The symbol coincidentally looks vaguely like a hive ghost, and Y5 could be referring to Year 5, aka Witch Queen.
Here are two of my favorites, according to clanmates who have spent time looking at the API:
1. The vault is coded as a vendor. When you store a gun, it adds an identical gun to its inventory, and when you pull a gun out of the vault, it's selling the gun back to you for free. You're basically getting a Ship-of-Theseus of your gun every time you store and retrieve it. The Postmaster is more or less the same idea, under the hood (it just gets its inventory by other means).
2. Destiny's API stores gender as an integer, along with the following commentary: "Gender is a social construct, and as such we have definitions for Genders. Right now there happens to only be two, but we'll see what the future holds." Based, as the kids say.
I actually made the ramen when my girlfriend at the time bought the book for me as a surprise. I can confirm it took me like half of the day just preparing it.

There was a makeshift toilet in "Crow's nest" (unfortunately that area has been sunset, along with the related hawkmoon mission)
I do believe the name of that shader "Metropolitan Acoustics" is a reference to the insanely loud Seattle Seahawks fans especially around the time it was added to the game. they also share those colors with the Sounders. Seattle fans used to get so loud you could hear it clear across the city and it would register as an earthquake.
while that is possible, I doubt it. Given the relationship between Seattle --> "Metropolitan and Sounders --> "Acoustics", it just seems too perfect. Also, the colors are an exact match for this team, and not for the Seahawks.

The image of shaxx with like a water container on a bleach shouting the instructions of dodge ball to the kids like a dad/coach helps me sleep at night
When playing on a controller, by default grenade is the left shoulder button and melee is the right shoulder button. In game, the guardian throws grenades with their left hand, and punches with their right.
Unfortunately the animations don't swap sides if you remap the controls.
I think the cape futter on Enclave NPCs is them being de-culled and the cloth physics reinitialising so it doesn't get stuck within any geometry.

Fun fact about the Spicy Ramen for the cook book. It only takes a hour to prep if you dont make the egg with it. If you decide that you want the egg it take 24h
A fun fact i just realized is that the hive ghost you get from legend savathun's spire makes a silly noise any time you open its menu
I'm almost certain that shader being the same colors as the Seattle Sounders is very intentional. The name "metropolitan acoustics" likely also being a reference to the fact that multiple times now the cheers coming from the stadium during Sounders matches have registered on earthquake monitors. Another seemingly useless tip, you cannot outrun a golden gun shot, which shaxx did not believe. “I beat you fair, Cayde said. “Don’t ever-“ He raised his hand high to wag a finger under Shaxx’s nose. “-try to outrace my Golden Guns.”… “It was a tactical error. Won’t happen again.”
im sure that cloth thing from 10:07 happens in a bunch of places as im sure i first noticed it with caydes cloak in d1
also similar to the trigger thing at 14:06 i remember in d1 the green lights on the crota weapons would get brighter as you pulled the trigger
expanding on seeing the hammer of a hand cannon moving with a controller trigger, when done with thorn, a spike comes out of the barrel
The cloak fluttering with the hidden happens when you turn around quickly to anyone. could be an NPC, a character in a cut scene, any player, etc.
8:36 some ornament icons for weapons and armor are actually facing the “wrong way” I think a couple of examples are the Outlast pulse rifle ornament and Winter’s Guile Warlock gauntlets.

on the subject of energy weapons/primary weapons facing left/right, for some of the seasonal weapons, if you equip certain ornaments, they will face the wrong way
this was true early on in season of the deep, not sure if it was fixed or not
WITH EPOCHAL INTEGRATION THERE'S A MOD THAT MAKES IT FULL AUTO WHEN YOU HOLD DOWN TRIGGER BUT IN SETTINGS YOU CAN JUST PUT FULL AUTO SHOOT FOR FREE AND YOU CAN STILL PUT A MOD ON THE GUN
