Thank you for posting your successes as well as failures. So many people only post the successes that viewers tend to think it's all roses when in fact things don't always go right, Often there is a learning curve and you have to take the good along with the bad. The smaller bowl came out fantastic, I can't wait to see the repair of the larger bowl. Also, if viewers can vote I saw repair with gold or copper and highlight the break rather than black which will look like you are trying to hide it. Thank you for doing what you do it is so inspiring.
Well I think everyone relates better if I show my screw ups, I will be going with the gold, I watched a couple videos on it and the whole process, I'm gonna fake it with resin but is should be really close, looking anyways, Thanks again !
If we don't make mistakes, we don't learn. I like seeing videos like this because I to see how you guys(other channels too) try to work out what happened. More than that, I like to see how you repair things when they break and make them look like it never happened.
I wasn't expecting a new video this week, but I definitely like it, although Mr. Murpy visited you again. A wonderful color combination Doug. And as usual you can be proud on your work. Stunning. 👍
Holy cow!!! Even though I hate it when a project breaks on you like that, I love that you take care to give us those special slo-mo effects, lol! Man, that's too bad because it was coming out so beautifully. I really loved the stripe along the bottom where the resin filled in that crack. I'll definitely be on the lookout to see if you're able to salvage it. The new bowl at the end is gorgeous as well - hope it's got its own dedicated video.
Oh the first bowl was for sure on the way to greatness. I have no doubt you'll fix it right up. The second bowl is just stunning the wood grain on the inside is beautiful. I'm not a fan of green. But that green and black are absolutely gorgeous! I love it that you share it all and keep it real. 🥰👍🥰❤️
It was cool how the reflected light kept getting more and more into focus, s you finished the outside of the bowl. 😁 For a smile...It isn't a funnel! 😀
Second bowl looked awesome. I luv the fact you just laugh at the mistakes and move one. Look forward to what you come up with for the first one. Thx for sharing and take care.
Both bowls are beautiful. Those colors work great with the wood. Be careful brother. That was a close call when it came apart. Thanks for showing us the good and bad of your craft.

Hi Doug. It was definitely headed in a cool direction. Sorry it came apart, but glad you weren’t hurt. It is still beautiful. Only this time it is a beautiful learning opportunity instead of a beautiful bowl. Take care. 😊

Hi Doug! Love the way the second bowl looks. The first one looks great too. If it was up to me though, I would just polish up the edges and leave it the way it is. It would be a great looking fruit bowl! Just saying. You don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents. 😊💕

I’d never give you advice on turning Doug but in my limited experience with turning very unbalanced pieces I take small sections starting at the tail stock and take a few inches and turn it down to true instead of moving across the whole piece each pass. Works really well. Doesn’t spray you with resin chip out as bad either. Love your videos. I’ve learned a lot watching them. Thanks
