I like the variety and randomness of these projects, and what a fine planetary look.
For what it's worth, it was you who got me using traditional tools on resin and away from carbide. I just didn't even think it was possible when I was new to the craft. Now, carbide for roughing or tight spots, maybe removing tool marks with a negative rake near the end, but almost entirely traditional tools for me and resin, thanks to you Doug.

You didn't say so in the video, but it appears that it was off center at the beginning so that you could trim off that section where the resin dipped low. Is that the case?

I was frustrated with my project today. My husband came over and worked on it for me, before I gave up. Scratches drive me nuts and I was working with clear resin. I appreciate you showing the good, the bad and the ugly. Love the bowl.

Love this. I don't know why I find it so fascinating. I'm not normally big into planetary / sky decor, but I kept picturing night light shade / cover, lamp stand, etc things made for a bedroom with the same type of thing.

I was completely blown away by how out of balance it was when you started! It reminds me of a few that I have tried to spin up. Great looking bowl, Doug!!
I was off center with my mounting hole for the worm screw, if you notice when I turned it around there were 3 holes in the middle from me trying to get it to balance out so I could turn it easier

“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” I LOVE this bowl, Doug! Gorgeous! I love the planet bowls you make. So beautiful! The blue ball with the reddish “T” shape, looks like a Mandalorian helmet! 😆 I don’t know if this would even be possible, but a solar system bowl wood look cool! A yellow-orange sun ☀️ in the center then 9 planets as close to looking like the real, Mercury, Venus, Earth 🌎, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn 🪐, Uranus, Neptune and even Pluto, would be amazing! Thank You Roma, when I picked up the planet mold that is what I intended to do but it's so hard to place them in a bowl and have it look right based on the size of some of them, I still want to try it and now I have a bigger pressure pot so it might just work

First of all, you did NOT talk too much. Even though I will never be a practitioner of your art, I enjoy hearing you explain about the spiraling problems, etc. It makes it more interesting. I really love the galaxy look with a multitude of planets - each one different and beautiful. I liked hearing you "think out loud" about what color you would use to create a "moon" to fill in the hole. Basically, I just enjoy watching and listening to you, and relaxing as the bowl spins and you create something beautiful. Gives me a much needed break from the "planetary chaos" that we are all living in, currently. Stepping into your "Pohl Barn world" is one of my few happy places right now.
