      Devon Parker yeah but for $27k the Toyota Tacoma 2dr 4cylinder is safer more reliable and faster & way more fun than this thing & they start at like $23k

    • @TheDevonParker
      @TheDevonParker 6 років тому +2

      Actually the Tacoma has 159hp to the RZR's 168hp, and is far slower to reach 80mph due to weighing more than twice as much as the RZR. Overall it's a significantly larger vehicle. Reliability is relative to the owner and the maintenance. A Tacoma that is driven off road regularly is going to have far more problems than the ones that never see dirt. Toyotas are reliable, but they no longer have a huge lead in reliability over some other manufacturers. If you think a Tacoma is more fun then I really recommend trying out a side by side of any brand. It's an entirely different experience than a pickup.

    We just took delivery of our 2018 turbo s, can't wait to drive it! We have experience with the xpt, xpt4, Yamaha yxz and maverick x3 xrs. I'm super excited to drive the new rzr, I think Polaris did a great job strengthening the whole thing.

    I appreciated the review. As I once owned a 2008 50” Rzr side by side I must agree they are an expensive toy. Lots of parts just wear out due to running them hard in the Mojave.
    I ultimately went back to the Jeep thing, mainly because the wife got tired of returning to camp totally filthy. That and my speed cornering blah blah and that and more.
    I would never presume to compare my 2 door JK to any UTV honestly. Worlds of differences. Keep in mind what the Polaris Rep spoke about; THIS machine is RACE READY right from the factory. I believe him.

    I ride south of the M resort all the time and head out to Gold Springs but have never seen these trails. They looked to be on the right side of the 15 southbound is that accurate? On the left side of the 15 southbound you have the dry lakes and all of the groomed trails for any off road vehicle.

      In Idaho you can put a plate on them and drive them right down the street. Same with an ATV (4 wheeler). You’re supposed to stay on roads with a 45 mph speed limit or less but I hav driven mine right down Hwy 95 & hwy 2 cruising at 60 past Idaho State Trooper and he just waved... I’m sure in more populated areas they might not like it but I have been driving ATVs on the roads in Idaho since the 90s with never an issue.

I get the tire size issue. I have a H2 (35's stock) and a grand Cherokee with 30's. Crossing 18-24" deep ruts, my H2 don't notice, my Jeep, I have to plan the approach. So..... I'm still thinking I want the x3.

    To compare this product to a Jeep Wrangler is a apples to cantaloupe comparison! I don't care how much money you stick into a Jeep Wrangler it will never be able to match the performance in the dirt as one of these. The proof is in the pudding. Just look at the results of the last mint 400. Compare the Jeep class, classes and the UTV class. These things were made for the dirt!

    Video is cool, but this video belongs on TFLNOW. I don't think this is exactly a truck. I watch the channel because it is exclusive to trucks. Sorry I am a die hard fan that way. Mr. Truck would agree :-)

    • @MrTruckTV
      @MrTruckTV 6 років тому +2

      The way I see it, you don't tow your ATV and SXS to the trail with a car. It's a truck accessory. I trailer ATV's and SXS in half of my truck reviews. TFLtruck has more views than Now so I'm glad to see it on the truck channel instead of the car channel with Jeep. Jeeps can drive to a trail, but ATV/UTV's need a transport. You can kill two birds with one stone, showing trucks, trailers and the toys you tow. As much as I love horses, ATV's are easier to saddle up and don't eat hay when you shut them off. I'm heading towards SXS. I like the idea of a rollbar and seatbelts and a backrest and a steering wheel and cup holders and room for hot chicks next to me. Makes me warm and fuzzy.

    The RZR is cool but overpriced, if I am spending this kind of cash it will be on a Jeep. For 27k I would hope the RZR would have something more robust for a transmission than a rubber band CVT. I own a Can-Am Commander that I paid a lot less for.

    Why do people continually compare a Jeep Wrangler with the RZR XP Turbo S? Besides the price, they are nothing alike.
    A wrangler at $30k won’t be able to do jack crap except mild mild mild trails, and pavement driving. Its suspension sucks stock, it’s tires suck stock, and it’s gutless for acceleration. The ride is horrifically rough going over bumps.
    On the other hand the RZR XP Turbo S has almost a foot more ground clearance, comes with insane suspension travel, has a better 4WD and 2WD locking diff, and can go flat out over 4ft whoops with ease. You can take it rock crawling, sand dunning, or straight up desert trailing, straight out of the box.
    These things aren’t even remotely close to each other in capabilities. The RZR is so much better as a toy for the money. Yeah the Wrangler can be used on the road as a road vehicle, but how many Wrangler owners do you know that only do that? Not many I bet. They all want buy it to off-road it, and for the money, it is a horrible vehicle to pick for that purpose compared to the RZR.

  • @ilovetoyotatrucks

  • @denisleblanc4506
    @denisleblanc4506 6 років тому +4

    I think Nathan was very conservative in his estimate. To match the performance of this razor with a modified Wrangler you're probably looking close to six figures. It would have to have the capabilities of a Raptor in a Wrangler. It would have to essentially be a custom buggy like the off-road racers. SXS vehicles just above entry level already match the stock Wrangler and they're less than 10 grand. This Razor is more like a Raptor so when you think of it this way it's a bargain. But you have to admit the prices of these machines are getting a little ridiculous. Their speeds are getting too high and any mishap will be unforgiving.

    I’d entertain the idea of paying that much for an RZR if you didn’t have to worry about replacing front end parts every 200 miles. In my experience they don’t build a strong enough steering and suspension parts. They charge a ton of dough but build it with cheap parts. What gives

      Polaris has 10X more units sold than all the rest.. you will hear more peopel whine when theirs is broken cause of most part their lack of care or they expect it to do more than what is should

      In my experience the issues my friends and I have have had were not due to a lack of maintenance or abuse, but just part failures or systems failure. Failed brakes, broken axles, constant belt issues, numerous electrical problems just to name a few. A few of us had some warranty claims and a few had expensive shop bills. We live in the PNW, where we have tight trails, and rocks. None of use beat on our machines real hard, we are converted utv guys coming from Jeeps and Toyota's, so beating on our trucks meant breakage, which meant a expensive tow bill. We all just like to trail ride with our families, and of the 6 of us that had Polaris only 1 still does, and that's because he has WAY too much money wrapped up into it. I know a lot of tour companies are going away from Polaris due to the safety issues, and constant recalls. Consumer affairs has a multitude of complaints about these very issues, and I for one do not feel comfortable putting my family in or on any Polaris product, which is truly unfortunate, I used to be a die hard fan of Polaris. I like supporting an American company that puts Americans to work, but I got to get my money's worth and most importantly I have to put my families safety first. I do hope Polaris turns themselves around.
      Just my .02 cents.

      AcuraMatt B but you can drive it on the road. Only takes $300 kit to make em street legal in most states. Just needs horn,blinkers,reverse lights, and license plate. And yes, it will pass smog in most areas as well.

      You can drive this RZR at 85MPH through 2-3 foot whoops, basically your trading on-road luxury for off-road performance, just depends what you want! This obviously wouldn't be a daily driver (but if it was that'd be awesome)

      Evan Schendel had a 2017 xp4 1000 since April and it has 2200 miles on it. So yes, it can be a daily driver and kick some major ass off road at the same time. I was a jeep guy until these things hit the market. Only thing missing is heating and air conditioning. Can't wait to see how good the 4 seater version of the turbo s does in the whoops. Gonna be a good day just gonna send it!!! Lol

      Brady Turnblom you've been daily driving one? That's gotta be the best commute to work ever. They do sell a cab heater on their site if you need one, AC would be pretty sweet.

      Evan Schendel not to work, I have a company truck for that, but it does get driven almost everyday. I'm lucky enough to live in an area that doesn't require the street legal kit if it's a road under 50mph. Although there are plenty of people in southern utah that have the full kit on em and drive them everywhere but the freeway. Not too safe on pavement above 70mph ha ha
