I recently bought a used 2012 RZR 800S LE, installed new bearings, bushings, and ball joints, and a few other neglected maintenance items. I completely happy with what it can do and where it can go. I’ve gone everywhere my buddies have gone with their $30k+ machines A little over 11k miles on it and it’s still runs and pulls like a champ..
I still own and drive my 2008 Polaris RZR 800 with over 6,000 miles, and still has the original belt that still looks like new. I have driven the crap out of it. Rolled it twice, haul logs and deer, plowed snow, basically beat the heck out of it on the trails. It still runs as good as the day I bought it. I will never sell this awesome machine. Its the best machine they built.
I got a 2009 rzr, regular ole rzr, no S or anything fancy. Has almost 6K miles on it, only put 1 belt on it, and had to replace typical wear and tear parts. Has more time in the mud and swamp than i can count. I feel like its been a pretty damn good machine. No engine or differential/trans problems. Has been run low on oil a couple times, but still no ticking. I think some of the newer machines are a bit more problematic, but the older ones seem to be decent. I agree that it is alot with what you do to maintain it aswell.
i have a 2008, was my first side by side and its still awesome to this day! when i got a new wildcat a few years ago i gave my 08 rzr to my dad and hes still using it and its going strong
since most people can’t afford these they try to justify why they shouldn’t buy them. And call these products trash, “oh I had a buddies buddy that had one and his transmission fell out.... because it’s a Polaris.” If you have a super car it’s going to need to be serviced more than your town car. Don’t hate until you try.
Started with a rhino 660, then can am 1000, then bought my first Polaris rzr xp900. Loved the xp900 so much I bought a xp1000 and now I own a 2018 Polaris turbo S. Polaris is a great company and has awesome customer service. Due to the reliability of my rzr’s I’ll never own a different brand of sxs!!!
after the xp1000 in 2013 it got crazy, now the rzr guys are tearing apart the trails and drive reckless, its super dangerous now if your on a dirtbike or any small vehicle even jeeps, the bad drivers drift around corners out of control and are taking out others, at least here in southern california, see 5:33 as an example of what we are seeing, its so bad that I wont go out on the weekends anymore, just weekdays and maybe winter weekends.
This was a great history lesson for a guy like me who has been out of the game since 2003. Ive previously owned a 1997 Scramble 500 and a 1999 Scrambler 400. There are more options than I've ever imagined
Have a 2013 900 xp. Arced A arms. Arced radius arms. 32" Terminators, for agitating mud holes and 30" Maxxis Carnavors, for rock'n the mountains. Love this machine...fun fun fun...
I love my 13 xp900 , here in the wet northwest woods its plenty of power , i'm steering with the throttle all day. I pull logs with it all the time, we abuse it pretty good on the tree farm and still on the original belt. Only problem I have had is the ignition switch took a dump. I think I'll have it for many years .
I know you're trying to be cynical, but it actually is. We feel the same for all our sponsors and try to give them all the most value for our partnerships. Thanks for commenting.
Have an ATV Polaris Sportsman 1999 and a 2003. Both still working. now that im 28. im going to try the Polaris RZR 900. Test drive one today from a dealer. Felt great. though in august the first week they will release the 2020. maybe worth waiting a little bit. all in all Polaris brand and Can Am looked and felt real good from the test drive. 🇺🇸
I can tell you I own a 2018 xp4 high lifter I only have about 120 miles on it so far but wow the feel of the gas pedal as far as smoothness, clutching engagement, gearing and engine braking are 100% improvement over my old 2016 xp4 1000 non high lifter. Only negative thing I can say is it rides 30% stiffer I'm hoping that softens up as it breaks in.
Here's a simple an answer All of them All of them are enough for what you want to do You aren't ripping it 110 down the backroads You'll do the exact same in a 570 Vs a 1000
I still haven’t had one. Been riding quads since 1988 or so. I can’t seem to transition away from a quad. All my ability and confidence has been built on sport ATVs and trail riding rugged mountain trails. I can jump off a quad and the idea of rolling down a mountainside strapped into a SxS scares me lol.
Owen Desautels lol I ride by myself mostly so I’m never behind any bigger than mine. I say I’ll get a 1000 or a turbo one day though but for now my 900 is good enough lol.
Owen Desautels Yeah I would want to keep up with them lol. Hell yeah get the turbo man.I want a rs1 if they would of been out when I got my 900 I most likely gotten it instead.
Owen Desautels get the turbo s or if your trails get tight on a 60 inch probably not but if there 72in trails get it but you go with your have both rzr and maverick if you ride slow don’t get a canam it’s jumpy and get hot on the inside at least the turbo does and rzr has good power band both are good but just buy what’s best for you never rode a turbo Polaris just 50in 800
@@dirttraxtv yeah that's true I understand. Polaris is the only way to go,my opinion. I have a 2013 RZR 800 S and I don't have one thing bad to say about it,I love it

Didn't see a single Yamaha in that entire video. Appreciate the post though. Went back and watched this again for the first time in years. Great segment.
I loved the 900 xp, it had 88hp, and almost the same speed as a 1000 until they detuned the engine. Also, it was simple and didn't have all the electronics of the new ones that have the potential of breaking.
Although i would personally never get one, they should still make them. I think even if they werent pretty much banned, they probably would have become less popular by now anyway tho.
Imagine how much cooler the rzr would be, if it had a gearbox. With that deep growl from the motor and blow off between each gear.....Just think about it. cvt is kinda boring after a while. I say this with respect to my rzr friends.
I think they're going to plateau like the dirt bikes. People kept on evolving ahead of the bikes and some man.'s didn't want to follow as deemed unsafe...
Theres so many sub models and changes because everytime they get an idea they throw it out to the public. Never ridden one, but everybody I know that has a Polaris quad, all they do is break down, constant differential/transmission issues..... no thanks, ill keep my Foreman, have 3 of them, 2 from 2003 and a 2017...… As a guy in his mid 40's who grew up on 3 wheelers, I don't understand why new quads are all automatic transmission besides Honda?? I drives me nuts, I cant stand riding them, u cant putt around the woods anymore without constant hi-revving just to go anywhere, and riding downhill is another story in itself...…. Cant see dropping 12-15k on a high end Polaris quad that will be in a million parts and pieces in 15 years while ill still be riding my 2003 Honda...…
I agree polaris pushes them out to fast there known for problems.Warantys are sold but that dont help they leave it to customer. Also can am has a better design and quality
...ahh, it's called progress!! Look at the current truck and car markets. CVT in cars is not uncommon and Automatic in a truck is prevalent and common. Your arguments about Honda is also why they are not a leader in off-road vehicles anymore.

Or they cheap out on simple things like wheel bearings and a-arm bushings. Their quality control could also use some work, doesn't matter how good of wheel bearings are installed in the factory if they have little to no grease in them!
8800 miles on my 1000xp...never a issue one. I beat the shit outta it too. Belt, fluid and the shit I bend and it keeps on going...so speak for yourself
2010 800s all original other than fluids an tires never broke down ..alot of it comes down to maintaining the utv an treatment by the rider..My 15 900s also has not had an issue..I've seen far more can ams sitting on trails broke down than RZRs
None of them because they are poorly built plasticy pieces of junk they will wear out within 5000 miles and most of that crap will not be covered under warranty. Sticking with my Honda and yamaha's.
one gigantic polaris commercial. and I have a rzr 900 and a outlander 800 Can-am has better engines, better fit and finish and more HP. I only have a RZR 900 bc it was barely used and discounted 10 k off sticker. why bc there are wayy more polaris dealers than Can-am if you check out a RZR vs an X3 in person you would never be able to tell me the rzr is nicer. no chance. but you will never see them side by side at a dealer.

to bad Polaris cant master the art of reliability. there products do nothing but break all the time.
I have read this in many forums.
Its all manufacturers.
matt dyer mine has been great without any problems
None of them because they are poorly built plasticy pieces of junk they will wear out within 5000 miles and most of that crap will not be covered under warranty. Sticking with my Honda and yamaha's.
bla bla bla bla rzr
polaris rzr trash
Jose Fernando Resendiz your clearly broke and can’t afford one
RZRs are doodoo fortnite is better
Dallas Paulson put them over 6 weeks behind on production because he couldn't stay off the shitter.
1000 Turbo S 😂😂
Empty and hollow infomercial. At least seem objective and point out all the flaws that FORCED continued innovation. Sheesh.

one gigantic polaris commercial. and I have a rzr 900 and a outlander 800
Can-am has better engines, better fit and finish and more HP.
