    The Wildcat really shines in the pure off-road west. Moab, desert sand and rocks. They really put the effort in that area.

      They all performed exactly like they should have with the exception of the xx. It's power to weight should have restricted it more. Must be higher on the tourqe end.

    Ya know the XX did not do that bad considering the weight/hp differences. 1 to 2 car lengths for being 30-40hp down and heavier just shows how well it is putting the power that it does have down. I love the looks and the suspension setup and the power potential is there being a yamaha powerplant. Have been in the market for a new SxS and I am now seriously considering the XX. I can pick one up here in town new for 17,500 🤔. Sweet Vid!

    The XX is the coolest looking machine IMO. Still happy I bought my ‘17 XP1K non turbo for $16.7 during Polaris rebates last year.

      I'm getting an xx and I think this is a very fare comparison, wouldn't really make sense for it to walk all the others with the huge weight difference. Put it on a 300 lb diet and things would change drastically I feel

    It may not be the fastest but when it comes to driver experience, slamming gears and drinking beers In The yxz is the way to go in my opinion. Idk about the 2017+ but the 2016 is so mush fun

      All Yamaha needs to do to shut this whole SxS game down is make a brand new fully automatic machine with the Sidewinder engine. No clue why they haven't done that yet, the engine is already built just need to toss it in a new machine and there ya go.

      Friend of mine just bought a 2019 yxz, its definitly mean. They relocated the radiator to the rear so you don't burn your leg now, and the launch mode still kicks ass. She has the sport shift edition with the paddle shifters and god damn is it a blast. It will hold right with my mild built 400ex. Very impressed.

    Love seeing the new machine getting a full review and I am sure it’s a good unit.
    But seeing it in person I just can’t get past the rear bed. It’s like they didn’t know if they wanted to build a utility machine or a sport machine. It just looks confused. I’m sure in the next couple years it will all get worked out. As someone in the market for a upgrade it doesn’t really move the needle for me. But well done guys. It’s a honest real review of what they have to offer

    I was looking hard at the xx we went out on a test drive no I was not driving the store owner was
    It broke down too lost a piston
    I ended up getting a rzr.

      The XX is overengineered, the aarms are huge compared to an rzr aarm for example. I'd rather be heavy and solid than light and frail when trail riding.

    I like what the wildcats trying to do. As in, I like the suspension set up and the factory cage. Hell, I love the look but the price fucked it over big time. The price is turbo territory and it’s in the N/A category. I hear people talking about turbo kits for it but that’s neither here nor there as of right now. Why buy it then spend money making it what it should be. Might as well just get a turbo sxs to start and have piece of mind that it’s built from the factory to be a turbo. For 19,999 “MSRP” you can get a turbo RZR and that’s about 2-3K below the the wildcat. Yes you can argue that you don’t need that much power but shit, it’s out there already and I want power.

      U.A.T. I’m not trying to argue but My local arctic cat dealer is selling the xx at $19,000. Where are you buying a bran new rzr turbo for 2-3k below that price. I want to now because I’ll go there and buy one. Msrp on a standard rzr turbo with walker evens shocks is $19999. The fox adddition is 22,999. Which in my opinion is the machine that a person should compare the xx to. Now take a standard rzr 1000xp that msrp at 17999 and put some of the features that the xx come standard with. You would be surprised which one is more money. Loved the video it was a great comparison.

      Njorg Njorg I went of prices by textrons website and Polaris. What dealers are selling them for may differ. Just went to the website itself when they were first coming out. That being said, haven’t been on their website in a couple months since they started shipping.

      U.A.T. That’s cool, like I said not trying to argue. I got my prices from Polaris wep page. I do believe the xx msrps at $20499. So the rzr turbo is $3500 more comparing it to fox addition rzr. That about the same price as turbo kit for a xx depending how much hp you want out of it. Lol.

    Good hell the 1800 pounds is the biggest issue. Drop that 500 pounds and it will pull that 1400 pound xp , and yxz. Great review

    Stock vs Stock is good. Doesn't make much sense to compare the XX against a Turbo. Glad you guys did this review. These are actual numbers and results we can use. Isn't the engine in the XX the exact same as the YXZ?

    If you guys had to pick a SxS for interior Alaska with muskeg, rock ridges, and tundra, what would you pick? I want to like the Polaris Ranger because main use is for hunting and fishing, but dang the terrain is so damn rough up here and I don’t know if it can take it.

    I still like the new XX for a lot of reasons, I think it did pretty good considering it's so much heavier than the rest. I expect a turbo kit would have a lot better outcome, at least I hope cuz I kind of want one but not if it's going to be the slowest machine out of the whole bunch.

      Stock for stock it was close but I think they raced a new machine in xx vs a bunch of machines that are past the break in, it seemed the more they raced the better the result I mean the radar 55 miles is pretty good

    I bought a xx even after these reviews because its perfect for what I do put it up against a xp 1000 or a non turbo mav and see . The weight is because everything is heavy duty. The axles were the problem with the first machine's improper setup. I love my xx for my style of riding

    I would put a Bussa engine in that XX and then see who's the Boss! I have raced the wildcats and their big advantage is the lower center of gravity. Other brands will roll or pitch endos and the wildcat seams to stay on track

    What you guys need is one of the wildcat XX with the procharger package on it and see how it fairs then... Might be a fair race against the top notch machines since it's a lot heavier and would have 215 alleged horsepower

    Have to admit it bugs me that the first xx wasn't working correctly. What was wrong with it? Also who's to say they brought you a totally stock one for the replacement? If they knew you were drag racing it, why not throw a tune on it and give it some help... Good video either way. If anyone was wondering how much the car loses in the cvt compared to the yxz, the xx has 13 more horsepower and its a dead heat on the drags..

      Shear coupler in the front diff / driveshaft stripped and or broke resulting in no 4wd for the re-test. The replacement unit was from a different source, private owner & fan of the blog, it was all stock.

    I have a 2018 stock rzr s 1000 I think they have a little more torque out of the hole then a xp

    I think the biggest proble you had was the heat sink into the engines. Hot engines loose horsepower back to back drags proved that theory wrong in this case.
    The lag from the rzr turbo is called turbo lag. Off the start the turbo actually hinders performance until the turbing gets up to speed( fully spooled ). The turbine temporarily restricts exhaust flow heavily. Its like an asthmatic trying to run a foot race. It just cant breathe.
    The only reason I wont buy an Arcticat is because of extreme reliability issues. 123 reviews online gave only a 1.5 star rating out of 5 I believe it was consumer reports or one of those fairly accurate test/ review sites. Horror stories of broken axles burned up transmissions with under 400 miles. Front A arms snapping off without hitting anything or any type driver error or driver damage.
    Textron has ruined Arcticat once decent reputation. Even their sleds have been effected with quality issues and failures

      @@UTVoverlander no air conditioning, no cruise control, little protection from crashes or the elements. Can they last 100,000 miles? 200,000 miles? Do they have traction control? Abs? Comfortably carry passengers for a 6 hour drive? Ok so they can go over jumps in the sand. I'm sure they're fun toys but the cost is still ridiculous.

    Unless iam missing something was the first race between all 3 the only one left stock was the wildcat? If so that's not an actual assessment between the 3 machines.anyone can throw in an extra 7-10k in after market upgrades and be a beast.

      The machined we raced the green XX against we're bone stock except for the X3 which had a stock tune and minimal mods as explained from 1:18 on.

Iam not being a dick just confusing whennthencamera.guy said we went out of our way to get.bone stock machines. Granted textron just acquired artic cat keeping in mind recreational vehicles is new to the company. thier.new SxS against a yearling Yamaha and the tried and tested Polaris RZR just seems in my opinion just a little biased. Almost as if you were to put a v6 Camaro up against an SS running an LS1

      @@upstatearms4 Biased? Lol. The RZR and YXZ are its competitors, what are we supposed to compare it with? The XX was claimed to be faster, turns out to not be the case. You can't claim bias just because you don't like the results. The reason for running the test a second time is explained in the video.

      @@SXSBlog ok we seem to have a coma barrier. Where is the first video? This video was suggested to me. You claim I don't like the outcome? Where do you find this claim? I've had yamaha,honda and now own an arctic cat. I have friends that all they will own is Polaris. So iam not someone just looking for an argument here sir. Perhaps since this video is 90% narration you should explain things a little more clear and have the camera guy not over talk or repeat what you just said. So with this being said is the wildcat XX in another class that the sport? Or is this the same machine but renamed since textrons acquisition of artic cat? I simply find it confusing that you would have a turbo twin or tripple cylinder in the same classification as a naturally aspirated big bore single or twin and honesit's only been this past year since the acquisition that I've seen "arctic cat" trend away from thier big.bore single H1 H2 engines.
