I have a lot of homework to do. Thankfully, I have a few notes I can locate and use, as well as a watering calendar/schedule.

Hi Lyn, Yeah, it took me a couple hours to fill out everything and I think that's the worst part.

What if ... my "dormant" Dendrobium sends endless keikis (six of them), PLUS, a keiki on the stalk - how do I record this on the spreadsheet? (Life cycle & fertiliser)?
I was able to separate the keikis from the "mother plant", when I noticed its roots were dry. I still repotted it, and gave it a slow release fertiliser stick. The keikis roots however, were quite vibrant.

Good question.... I have no idea. :) I would not put it in the dormant cycle though, since it's trying to grow.

Lyn, did you work out how to record the keikis. i am just starting on the spreadsheet and have numerous dendrobium nobiles from the same parent plant. i was thinking of numbering them. eg dendrobium (one), (two) etc.

@Kerry Clarke ... I numbered the keikis from 1 - ?? and then just kept tracking them. Of course with D.1 D.2 etc so I could know them. I used masking tape with a marker, but I need to upgrade this method to something more "permanent". Hope this helps.

@@elbeem20001 thanks for the hint about the masking tape on each keiki plant, it is a good start.

Oh ... I did not remove the keiki from the stalk.

I wouldn't remove it until it looks mature enough to live on it's own. Dendrobiums have a lot of energy stored in their canes to survive a long time, sonthe keiki is ok still with it's parent plant.
