All your projects not only significantly improve the use of space but are always so beautiful. Your thorough planning and testing always results in something fabulous. Especially love how you reuse and up cycle existing materials. None of this success would have been possible without the supervision by Little Miss ❤😊 who is too cute 😊. Thank you for sharing. Always worth the wait 🎉

Superb! I so much like your attention to details, how you spread spirit and soul over every thing you do…! I am paying attention also, trying to learn from you, to plan better, to be better. I am preparing for the future work on a small patch of land at the outskirts of my town, so I am in the planning phase, learning around my existent sketchup knowledge. The plot is empty and windy, so a cabin with a greenhouse attached to it are on the phase 1 plan. Wish me luck and good luck to you to! Love you all! Lili

I would consider putting a few holes on the bottom aluminum piece to allow for water to escape.
You did a lovely job. I am considering using your design as a template for a door to my side yard. I need the fencing up first. If I make it that far I'll post a pic. Enjoy your little oasis with your lovely family.

Looking forward to your new project as well!
we originally thought of adding weep holes to aluminum channel, but in the latest option, we had three flat bar welded on the aluminum channel which create a separation between the base channel and the timber parts, also there is a tiny gap between the 2 pieces of alum angle for water to escape, that probably should be able to do the work, hopefully

A beautiful transformation. Some unasked for advice with the maple: they prefer slightly acidic soil and the use of concrete mortar in the brickwork, especially washing it into the soil, will have made the area more alkaline. You could test the pH levels with a simple kit and add amelioration to make sure the tree thrives. For one that size a hole about three feet deep should have been excavated and back-filled with good, well-draining soil. As the paving comes so close, make sure you don't have waterlogged soil around the tree in the future. Best of luck.

great work, stunning results! also really entertaining to watch. unsolicited advice: the only thing that i would reconsider is the cement dusting and watering technique, especially next to the soil of a recently planted maple which are known to be sensitive to changes in soil acidity. the cement will leech into the soil and make it less acidic. i doubt that it will harm the tree as it wasn't a big amount, but is just one thing to keep in mind. cheers!

    • @galastudio9

Beautiful experience watching your video. I'm concerned that you aren't wearing a mask during all the cutting of the bricks and mixing the concrete! Those materials are very harmful to the lungs. Cinematic quality, however!

Thanks for the tips! we do have mask we will try to remember put it on more often. the wet tile saw has a water nozzle constantly spraying onto the cutting blade when cutting the bricks, it should be able to reduce majority of the dust during brick cutting by theory.
