Honesty doesn't fit in their plans.VIPS pay for the game and now have to play for dopey expansions which arent even worth buying.I say they ruined it and especially Ettenmoors and this war leader crap just introduced.
They can't even make the UI scale with modern resolutions... also cost to value is really, really bad in the game but yeah i loved it and played it for years... they should clean up, get rid of stuff that doesn't work or works badly but after the Mordor trailer this one is definitely better
The best LOTRO trailer in a long time. The voice over helps a lot in making it a cohesive instead of a collection of footage. Very excited for this xpac!
The budget might be not there nowadays, the trailer might be simply ok (although to be completely fair, it includes voiceacting and it's much, MUCH better than the Mordor one), but one thing's certain: These guys know how to create a superb world, their worldbuilding skills are impeccable.
I feel like the budget will come back once 64 bit (improving the lag) goes live into every server bcus that'll undoubtedly bring players back thus naturally.. More income. Here's to hoping! :)
@@bilaliqbal4012the lag is absolutely the biggest hurdle for new players to adjust to like we don’t see it as frustratingly as onboarding players so when it is fixed it will be a massive help
They are still working with this game and it's great. I have strong feeling that old games it's just like an old vine - during time began to be just better.
Cool Cool cool, I couldnt play this game through steam or the official launcher after trying over a dozen times hahaha. I love the original Turbine engine and would love to try this game. But man, they have got to work on their client and launcher.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is in the works and they plan to get it into the game as soon as they can. A key thing holding this back is several other Projects that they've been getting done with the biggest one being the LOTRO Launcher getting an update. Once everything else is set they'll then do the MFA/2FA Update.
UI Work is happening but they have no ETA for UI Updates as of November 11th, 2024. Likely this will be multiple updates as well so likely a 2025 & beyond Project.

@@nyverdaletabletop1674 Well for how long it's taking UI (User Interface) Updates is due to two things: Talking about it & Working on it. They "talked" about doing something with LOTRO's UI as "we'd like to" for years but never did any actual work. This due to they hadn't shifted their Manpower & Resources yet to start doing these kinds of Projects. More recently, 2023 and especially 2024, they finally set aside a Developer + Time to start "working" on the UI. After the Wedding of Aragorn and Arwen and before the Funeral of Theoden, we're on the hunt of a Black Numenorean that escaped Umbar and went to Near Harad. It was King Elessar that sent us there.
To be fair Morgoth is still around he's just "in the Void". He's not coming back, the Expansion is just "related to Morgoth" in whatever capacity they've taken.
Thats the thing about Standing Stone Games... they will never have "enough" - they just milking the cow till it collapses sadly. Other developer would be the only chance for Lotro to actually have a bright future for these needed changes. Under SSG - never ever
Visual Updates are always happening and the "Latest Content" is always using their latest visuals however they won't ever have Visuals/Graphics akin to a modern game.

Too many changes in classes, every update, makes this game not interesting anymore. Stopped playing when the introduced will for guardians and other melee classes. The game itself is not bad, graphics old but ok, gameplay decent, but designers are ruining this. Not coming back.
To be fair we've moved into a location that Tolkien hardly discusses at least for the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and Appendices. It's "off the map" while still being on the map.
@@harvain731 Don't get me wrong: I love the game, I bought two lifetime subscriptions (one at launch, one later), and I've sunk I don't even know how many hours into it. I'm so glad it exists. It's a beautiful testament to Tolkien's world. I'm just put off by most attempts these days to turn Tolkien's world into something it wasn't and was never intended to be (e.g., "The Rings of Power").

There are so many places I saw on the last casual stroll that are looking great (like the caves). But some of the choosen places in the Trailer just look realy realy outdated. Please dont include them in Trailers. Like the buildings at 0:59. They look like Sim City 2000 buildings. I know the engine is old.
