I have been to three podiatrists to figure out what is going on with the numbness in my foot. 10 years of numbness. They did nothing!! They didn't know squat. I went to an orthopedic surgeon in Toronto, Canada. Finally!! Someone that can figure out it is neuropathy related to back issues. I love your videos. They have been really helpful . From my experience , It seems like podiatrists like you ( in the USA) have a better grip on neuropathy issues than the podiatrists in Canada. Am awaiting an MRI and neurological testing on ly because an Orthopedic Surgeon suggested them. What is the difference in training??

Thank you so much. I will definitely make an appointment with my chiropractor and podiatrist. I did some exercises and massage for the on and off numbness in my left foot toes. Yes, I did have a marked and noticeable improvement . My MD wants me to take 1 baby aspirin a day I’m 69 year old male. Color difference in skin tone cold feet he feels less of a pulse in my left foot. No hair issues on my feet or legs.
Thanks doctor. I went online to find out what was wrong with my pains in my left foot...Now I know it's called pins and needles... I have followed our instructions and immediately I feel better....my feet bottom was whitish..now it's red showing increased blood flow. A magic here..God bless you daktari. From Kenya..
Had many herniated discs in the past and sciatica. Also B12 deficient. Had plantar fasciitis previously. This latest pain was sudden burning and stabbing pains like nothing I ever felt before. Realized I had not taken the B12 for a while. three days later it’s much better. Now just feels like fasciitis.
Hi I'm just watching your video and I believe that my hamstrings on both legs calcification on the left leg and a misalignment from the fall in my back is contributing to foot pain and also have plantar fascitis on my left foot cannot find anything to put on my feet that would help I used to be a runner and a traveled around now I'm stuck in bed and I need to get back on my feet I'm 66 years old thank you
It's very important. Thank you so much. I am suffering from this problem. I got the many things from your video. I can relax from my problem. God bless you

No my husband was a walker every day, his tingling in his toes then the cramping in his calves that was it after 3 years, he had to have all his toes amputated and lost part of his toes because a Podiatrist and Family Doctor could not get the diagnosis right.... so go straight to the ER get your feet checked out..... do not wait for these guys to tell you to go to Emergency....
@@maykerr4813 Been to foot specialist they just made shoes no other recommendation for treatment. I tried so many things on my own to no avail. Plenty of people selling products with claims of relief. Wasted money I couldn’t afford seeking relief.

About 4 years ago, I noticed slight tingling and numbness on the tips of my toes. I am mostly a vegetarian. After some reading, I took some sublingual B12. Numbness remained, stable and non-progressing. The tingling stopped the next morning and has never returned. 1.5 years ago, I was prescribed Cipro (Ciprofloxacin) for a possible for a possible gram negative bacteria by my dentist. Three weeks later, I had reddish bluish black “diabetic” feet up to my knees. Over the next several months, the discoloration regressed to just my feet whereupon a neurologist instantly diagnosed me as being diabetic. I am not even pre-diabetic (HA1c test results of 5.8 & 5.6). Since then the discoloration has progressed up to my ankles? Beware of Cipro. Now has five FDA required black box warnings (like the “may cause cancer warning” on cigarette boxes). Cipro can cause ruptured Achilles tendons, other tendons, ruptured aorta, peripheral neuropathy, essential tremors, and many autonomic nerve symptoms.
Cipro was on a list of antibiotics to avoid. I tell everyone I know to tell their doc that they are allergic to it it. Doc will ask what happens when you take it. I just say stomach pain.
Go carnivore. All plants are poison. Vegetable, fruits grains have a ton of poisons and carcinogens. Plants block minerals and vitamin absorption. Their oxalates crystallize and deposit around the nerves.
Thank you. I searched for videos because of consistent pins and needle pain in left for for a few weeks now. I do not believe it’s diabetes I eat extremely well although mostly fruits and vegetables. I may be missing something therefore I started eating eggs fish and today chicken on weekends.

This is without doubt one of the most informative and helpful videos l have seen on peripheral neuropathy pain and how to treat it. Having suffered for years with excruciating foot pain at night time, l was most appreciative to see some of the relatively simple solutions to try out before going to bed. Thank you 🙏
Wow Dr. Silkman, thank you so much for the humbling message. I really appreciate you taking the time to do so. I see so many people with pain that have given up because they read peripheral neuropathy is not curable. But there are so many things we can do to improve the quality of there life. Thank you!

One of the most informative videos I’ve heard. I am in severe pain with PN, and have been got 3 yrs. If my dx is correct. I have DM , but keep my sugars controlled. My A1C is always around 6. I need help and I constantly search. Every answer seems too good to be true. Then there is your video that is more believable. No MD seems to care or even take the time to listen. ALL of my problems stem from nutritional deficiencies. The natural B vitamins I get come from Bragg's Nutritional Yeast. Plus I order a synthetic B-1 (benfotaimine + alpha lipoic acid) for peripheral nerves in fingers and toes. Very managable now. You were very thourough. Thank you.
My wife had pins and needles in her feet from diabetes. Only thing that worked to get rid of it was Vitamin B complex. She has been pins and needles free for 10 years.

Thanks for the information. I live in the UK 🇬🇧 I have been trying to find a Podiatrist and Neurologist. Someone honest and trustworthy. Most consultants in the UK just say there is no cure for peripheral Neuropathy. I had a full knee replacement in 2016. My regular primary phys started me on this prescription. Now I follow up w a foot doctor. There are creams that also help. Best so far is Nerve Renew: Fast Acting Cream along with it's associated internally ingested pills from Amazon. Just an honest recommendation.

I'm borderline diabetic and have Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Spondylopathy, PAD, Peripheral Neuropathy, crushed vertebrae, sciatica and also recovering from a car accident two years ago. I am being treated for insulin resistance, high blood pressure, edema, and high cholesterol. Due to the pain I have significant mobility and balance issues. I can't stand or walk very far. I often sit or lay down most of the time. I just recently developed frost bite/nip on my toes due to the living situation. We are homeless and currently living in an RV. I take multiple vitamins and supplements. I don't take Vit Bs yet. I am researching it though. I am trying to find easy exercises that don't cause a great deal of pain. I got good shoes, but because I had to get a bigger size due to the wide feet and swelling, the toe of the shoe has creased and putting pressure and causing pain on my toes and top of my feet. I am on disability, so it's not easy to afford a lot, but I am trying.
This video is amazing as you are, too. No information is given to me, like this, when I go to my regular foot care appointment every 10 weeks. I am a type 2 diabetic with neuropathy in my feet. It is upsetting to me that even though I have dropped my initial blood sugar of 7 to 5. 8 on my latest A1c, and I have been consistently in the low ranges in my testing, over the last 6 yrs from my diagnosed, I ended up with peripheral neuropathy. I guess the damage was done when I was initially diagnosed, although I didn't have the neuropathy until the last year or two. Thank you 💅 so much for your "detailed" explanations especially about the shoes to the inserts & stretching as well as the various other exercises with the towel, balls & bottle. I saw a video of yours for the first time, yesterday, and got out my long- handled massager and used it on my calf muscles & it really felt good. I plan to use all your info & techniques. I hate to sound "desperate" but I am, for good solid info, which you provided. I have been trying all the supplements, lotions, aspercreme w/ lidocaine ( which works temporarily), theraworx & capsaicin. But, it looks like your treatment options are going to be the best! So very grateful, I stumbled across your video as I am sure so many others who are suffering with this excruciating pain are, too. Namaste 🙏.
I've long-haul COVID. Around fall 2018 I experienced the toes on my previously beautiful feet splaying between the 3rd & 4th toes. Nothing hurt, no other issues. So in my brilliance I taped them together. Lo and behold, it worked. After several weeks they returned to normal. About a few months later, those two started curling and developed hammer toes. Flash forward to having COVID in November 2020. January '21, my toes started tingling, and I rapidly had a fungal infection on all toes and the ball of my foot. I had a bit of the same on my right foot. About summer '21 I exemplified what is known as COVID toes. Excessive callous has developed and tingling and pain grew. At the same time I was dealing with a lot of issues on the left leg. A flare-up of a double torn meniscus from 2017, then two sprains in the ankle, then a partially ruptured Achilles, a third tear on the meniscus, and a touch of arthritis that in the left knee resembled at least 10 years normal deterioration. Podiatrist I finally saw last summer confirmed a fungal infection and hammer toes. Still a lot of numbness, cracks in callous and pain and tingling. Hoping your exercises help, because with my knee and right hip rapid deterioration, capable feet would be nice! God bless you!

Excellent video but I have a problem with the stretches as I realise stretching is not a suitable exercise as I suffer from planta faciatis. What I understand is P/F stems from too much stretching of the feet therefore stretches will make it worse. I'm wilingl to do stretches for my tingling, numbness, heel pain and ankle pain but I'm concerned that it's not good for Planter Faciatis Confused
There are a million videos on PF. For some, stretching helps and it did help me. For others, ice and rest from aggravating activity, maybe most important to have at least some kind of arch support
I had a cramp on my right leg for seven days and it's still stiff at back of my leg and it's sore I'm using cramp ease and neurobion it's a little bit better
My numbness began in my right toes then foot then the left began same way. Both lower legs hurtwhen pressed on lightly like a bruised leg would hurt. I had three whiplash injuries over the years and a neurologist you'd me I would need surgery on my neck would this cause this in feet and legs. No sugar problems found in blood test every year
It's always hard to say without a physical exam: Occasionally, this can be due to biomechanical issues, but a spinal injury could contribute. I usually see that there are some correctable issues that can help for sure, but it might not be for everything.

What about RSD/CRPS??? My Perennial nerve was severed and the Sciatic nerve "shattered" (30+years ago). Treatments promoted today left me in an emergency epidural when the new solutions dropped my blood oxygen to 83 and then confined to bed for almost a year. I am still relearning to walk again (after being restored to my original medication that kept me functioning for near 30 years). I have a long way to go to get back where I was just because a new doctor didn't like what worked for me with no real side effects for so long because it isn't preferred treatment for RSD2/CRPS2. I COULD SAY MUCH MORE but it would be wasted on the one solution for all insanity that disregards individual differences and needs.
I have numbness and pain in my feet every time I drink, alcohol alcohol it makes it worse. I don’t have health insurance quite yet. I can’t be seen. What do you recommend until I get health insurance?

I were told I need surgery on my spine but need to know if it's really necessary I've been in a accident 7 years ago an still have chronic pain need info. on will I ever get better an be pain free what do I need to do to get well
I may have a new explanation of neuropathy (apart from drug induced lack of maintenance), with a key feature I wasn’t aware of. So it’s fairly common that neuropathy is caused by hypoxic tissue like in diabetes. But why does it get worse. I think it’s because the body expects hypoxic conditions to be temporary, like if you can’t breathe you don’t live long. Basically if you’re hypoxic anywhere the body thinks you lost blood, let’s make more blood and free up iron. This kicks off HIF2, which reduces hepcidin, and increases iron transport and absorbtion in the gut (dmt1, ferroportin). This means macrophages start releasing stored iron, which is unfortunate because they will be mostly present in the area of the hypoxic and inflamed tissue, making inflammation worse. Long story short, it may be key to minimize tissue hypoxia, and maximize blood circulation.
I had pain in the thigh of one leg. It was very painful. I thought I might have a blood clot. I went to a doctor. He recommended a b12 shot every day for a week. The pain left and never returned.
Thank you for your video. I have numbness in both feet, mainly under the toes. I went to a neurologist and did a full body ct scan and nerve conduct test, but there was nothing obvious. So they seem to give up.can this be cured what should I do next. Thank you

Thanks for the tip Marlena, in general gabapentin is considered a restricted pain medication. Ideally if possible I always try and steer people off of pain meds if we can find a more permanent cause. But it can definitely be good for shorter periods of time.

Thanks for sharing, I suffer from numbness, pins and needles in the foot, sometimes even fingers get affected.
Me too
Thank you so much.

😮 do u still hav pain n discoloration
Cipro was on a list of antibiotics to avoid. I tell everyone I know to tell their doc that they are allergic to it it. Doc will ask what happens when you take it. I just say stomach pain.
Go carnivore. All plants are poison. Vegetable, fruits grains have a ton of poisons and carcinogens. Plants block minerals and vitamin absorption. Their oxalates crystallize and deposit around the nerves.
I had a sudden numb arm from cipro with pins and needles and intense pain. Also achilles pain. Injury lasted over 2 years
Vegetarian starving your body not good
What about bunions as an adult is there any home treatments?
Thank you. I searched for videos because of consistent pins and needle pain in left for for a few weeks now. I do not believe it’s diabetes I eat extremely well although mostly fruits and vegetables. I may be missing something therefore I started eating eggs fish and today chicken on weekends.

Been having pins and needles for years in my left foot. Sadly my doctors are not understanding at all. it's getting to much to handle right now.
Gabapentin Rx has helped me w pins and needle pain in my feet. I take about 100 mg x 3 times daily and it has helped a lot. I can sleep now. Pain is greatly diminished.

There is no such thing as long haul covid ? This has been debunked ? Massive virus con to date do some research !

This is what am passing through since 2 years now. Pain & numbness in my feet & Back pain . please am in Abuja Nigerian which drugs can I take because am tidy thanks
I have spinal stenosis that gives me horrible nerve pain down the back of my left leg down to my foot, so I have what seems like a permanent limp so now I have Planters fasciitis and inflamed heel spur, my hip as well which I believe is piriformis syndrome. And it's all because of L3 L4 L5 spinal stenosis, a trickle effect if you will. Sucks big time!
God bless you, Doctor ! Thanks a lot for the excellent video. Greeting from Tel - Aviv : Miriam

Excellent video but I have a problem with the stretches as I realise stretching is not a suitable exercise as I suffer from planta faciatis. What I understand is P/F stems from too much stretching of the feet therefore stretches will make it worse.
I'm wilingl to do stretches for my tingling, numbness, heel pain and ankle pain but I'm concerned that it's not good for Planter Faciatis
Confused
There are a million videos on PF. For some, stretching helps and it did help me. For others, ice and rest from aggravating activity, maybe most important to have at least some kind of arch support
great imformative good all is true wish i could see you in person
Thanx doctor for the information
I had a cramp on my right leg for seven days and it's still stiff at back of my leg and it's sore I'm using cramp ease and neurobion it's a little bit better
Which cream is good for tingling
My numbness began in my right toes then foot then the left began same way. Both lower legs hurtwhen pressed on lightly like a bruised leg would hurt. I had three whiplash injuries over the years and a neurologist you'd me I would need surgery on my neck would this cause this in feet and legs. No sugar problems found in blood test every year
It's always hard to say without a physical exam: Occasionally, this can be due to biomechanical issues, but a spinal injury could contribute. I usually see that there are some correctable issues that can help for sure, but it might not be for everything.
@@DrTomBiernacki thanks should I see a podiatrist first or neurologist? I live in Florida. Love your show.
Thank you for the video. I do not see the creams listed in the description. Interested in what you recommend. Thank you ! I'm a West Michigander :)
Wow, we appreciate the kind words and your watching. My 3 favorite are biofreeze, capsaicin & voltaren (all 3 have different mechanisms of action, so see what works for you!)
If reasonable, we would appreciate a quick rating from you, and a good rating makes a MASSIVE difference for us!

What about RSD/CRPS???
My Perennial nerve was severed and the Sciatic nerve "shattered" (30+years ago). Treatments promoted today left me in an emergency epidural when the new solutions dropped my blood oxygen to 83 and then confined to bed for almost a year. I am still relearning to walk again (after being restored to my original medication that kept me functioning for near 30
years).
This was a great video, I'm here in Porto, Portugal watching this video and learning so much from it. My friend and I have walked through Portugal, France, Italy and now back to Porto and then Sintra and then back to the states. Is walking good for foot problems also?
Iam Portuguese. I hope you are enjoying my country :) from the research that I have done walking is number 1 exercise
We appreciate you watching and contributing!
I love the saying "Motion is lotion", if proper mechanisms, walking is really good for the cartilage.

I were told I need surgery on my spine but need to know if it's really necessary I've been in a accident 7 years ago an still have chronic pain need info. on will I ever get better an be pain free what do I need to do to get well
What creams do you recommend?
I have bad circulation I also feel it contributed to the condition.
I had pain in the thigh of one leg. It was very painful. I thought I might have a blood clot. I went to a doctor. He recommended a b12 shot every day for a week. The pain left and never returned.
Was it the left side ?
Doctors I have seen not one recommended B12 shots.
B 12 taken after 3 weeks intervals
Thats what my gp advised
Not every day
My arches hurt terribly when standing. What what is that called?
Hi...is this meant to be in your Playlist?..sonia
Thank you for your video. I have numbness in both feet, mainly under the toes. I went to a neurologist and did a full body ct scan and nerve conduct test, but there was nothing obvious. So they seem to give up.can this be cured what should I do next. Thank you

ua-cam.com/video/tqOzHZ8rUqs/v-deo.html This video should help you based on what you are describing. It talks about numbness in the ball of the foot.
Thanks for the tip Marlena, in general gabapentin is considered a restricted pain medication. Ideally if possible I always try and steer people off of pain meds if we can find a more permanent cause. But it can definitely be good for shorter periods of time.
Vitamin b12 and magnesium

I was diagnosed with tarsal tunnel and have spent upwards of $2000 on various inserts and supports that did not make a difference. What else might it be? Do you inserts help if it’s neuropathy?
Hi sir I have less feel in my right side body is it related to nerve?😢 Have C4,c5cervical also
At 5:41, didn’t you mean “this is the Wrists version of Carpal Tunnel”?
